Facts of the Persecution

1. Severe Torture Inflicted on Mr. Yang Tinglu from Zhucheng City, Shandong Province

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Yang Tinglu from Zhucheng City, Shandong Province was arrested and taken to the local police station on September 5, 1999. Policemen beat him until he lost hearing in both his ears. Blood leaked out from the vessels in his eyes causing blurred vision, and he was shocked with electric batons on his face, neck, and throat. He was detained for 30 days in a detention center, followed by another 20 days in Shiqiaozi Town (either in the police station or a government office). On July 9, 2000, officials illegally held Mr. Yang Tinglu in the Shiqiaozi Town Adult Education Building. Because he refused to write any words slandering Master Li, he was beaten until he could not even get up from the floor. They kept him locked up for 36 days just because his family had no money. He was finally released after his family was extorted out of 4200 yuan.

2. Persecution Facts from Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province

The Fengcheng City 610 Office has abducted many Falun Dafa practitioners since April 2005. Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Jin Xiuqing was tortured to death in one night. Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wen Cunfu's entire family was abducted. Mr. Wen Cunfu was sent to Dandong Forced Labor Camp. His daughter-in-law Zhou Jing was sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. His son Wen Jingsong is being detained in the Fengcheng City Detention Center. Mr. Wen Cunfu previously had tuberculosis and was cured by cultivating Falun Dafa. After being tortured for four months in the labor camp, his tuberculosis came back and he is now vomiting blood. The 610 Office refuses to release him even though his life is in danger. Two other Falun Dafa practitioners who were arrested are Mr. Jiang Jun from Hongqi Town, and Ms. Wang Shuzhen from Baoshan Town.

3. Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Ma Wenfu from Wei County, Hebei Province Detained for Two Years

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Ma Wenfu is from Gujiatuan Village, Wei County, Hebei Province. He obtained the Fa in 1996 and greatly improved his health. In September 1999, when his wife was about to give birth to their child, lawless officials stormed into their home. After they ransacked the place, they locked him in the Hongqi Street Neighborhood Administration Office. He was released only after writing a guarantee statement, and his father was extorted out of two hundred yuan. In August 2001, Mr. Ma Wenfu went to Beijing to import merchandise and was arrested when passing by Tiananmen Square. He was locked up in the Yang Village Ke Township Government Office. After being held for 19 days, he escaped one evening when there was a dense fog. In August 2002, Mr. Ma Wenfu and several other fellow practitioners were arrested and taken to the Daiwangcheng Township Government Office where they were beaten by seven to eight men. In July 2003, after being detained for more than 11 months, he was sent to a brainwashing class, where he was held until being released on August 15, 2004.
