(Clearwisdom.net) Recently reports about the persecution of Falun Gong began to appear in the Slovakian media. Only a few people, however, realized how inhuman and cruel this persecution is. To help more people understand this, Falun Gong practitioners in Slovakia tour a few Slovak cities every year to inform the public about the genocide against Falun Gong and ask for support in calling for an end to these human rights abuses.
In the beginning of August 2005, Falun Gong practitioners from Slovakia and the Czech Republic visited a few cities in Slovakia, including Dolny Kubin, Ruzomberok, Brezno, Roznava, Trebisov and Michalovce. They gave out leaflets and demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. The public could clearly see the sharp contrast between the peaceful exercises and the atrocities committed by the Chinese Communist Party.
Many people thanked us for the information. We also met city representatives and informed them about our activities. Although some people defended the regime in China, after they learned the facts about the persecution of innocent people, their attitude changed and they whole-heartedly supported us.
The media in most of the cities reported on the activities, including the TV news in Dolny Kubin, a newspaper report in Ruzombersky Hlas and TV coverage in Zemplinsky, Dennik, Korzar, and Michalovska.
