Facts of the Persecution

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yi Xiuying, 62 years old, lived in Yangjiajuan Village, Yangchu Town, Qixia City, Shandong Province. In 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong and was intercepted by police officers who confiscated the 300 yuan that she had on her and illegally detained her for 15 days. They didn't allow her to eat for four days. They locked her in a room with only a stool in it and she could not sleep. In 2001 and 2002, they forced Yi Xiuying to undergo brainwashing. Both times, they detained her for over a month. In 2003, she was turned in to police while clarifying the truth. The police searched her home three times and forced her to put her fingerprint on a guarantee statement. They also fined her before sending her home.
