1. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Police Beat Ms. Guo Lifang to Death
Ms. Guo Lifang was about 60 years old. On March 31, 2005, she was arrested because she had copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in her home. During interrogations conducted by public security personnel to identify the source of the documents, Ms. Guo was beaten to death. This is the first case of a Falun Dafa practitioner being killed in this manner in Xiangtan City.
Falun Dafa practitioners Xiao Zhixiang, Ling Jia, and Peng Yonggan have each been sentenced to three and a half years in a forced labor camp. They are being detained at the Baotaling Detention Center.
Mr. Xiao Zhixiang, 66, was a cadre of the former Xiangtan Gas Company. He was previously incarcerated for three years because he practices Falun Gong, and was released in 2003. Earlier this year, he was sent to jail again because he clarified the truth about Falun Gong to people.
Ling Jia, about 30 years old, was a teacher at the Peiying School, a private school. Because he clarified the truth in class, he was arrested and sentenced to hard labor without due process in early September 2004.
Mr. Peng Yonggan is about 60 years old. On March 31, 2005, police from Xiangtan arrested him after searching his home and finding copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.
Ms. Xiang Jinmei, about 60 years old, lived in the Haijia Section of Xinhua Village, Shuangma Township, Xiangtan City. She was arrested at year end in 2004 and was sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp.
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Police Arrest Three Dafa Practitioners
On the night of July 6 and the morning of July 7, 2005, Shihe police raided the homes of Dafa practitioners and arrested Luo Yuzhi, Gong Lihua and another practitioner whose name is not known, all of whom are from Wushilibao, Shihe Township, Jinzhou District, Dalian County, Liaoning Province.

3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Police Arrest Ms. Liu Ying
Members of the 610 Office and police from Qinglongchang of Chenghua District, Chengdu City have been monitoring Ms. Liu Ying, a Dafa practitioner from Yunlong Road, for a long time. On June 29, 2005, two policemen arrested Ms. Liu. Police went to her home and confiscated a computer, Dafa materials, some cash, and other items. Her whereabouts are currently unknown.
4. [Nanjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wu Aifang Suffers Bone Fractures in Her Hand and Leg While Being Held in a Brainwashing Unit
Since March 2005, the 610 Office of Nanjinang City, Jiangsu Province has been conducting brainwashing classes in Nanjiang City. Ms. Wu Aifang, a Dachang District Dafa practitioner, was sent to a brainwashing class. When she returned, she had bone fractures in her hand and leg. The exact cause is not known.
The following Dafa practitioners are being detained in the brainwashing class:
Shen Zhuanying, from Dachang District, Nanjiang City, was arrested in March 2005 and detained at the Xinlian Machine Factory Boarding House.
Sha Mingjun, from Dachang District, Nanjiang City, was arrested in March 2005 and detained at the Yangxinlu Boarding House.
Li Jun is from Liuhe District, Nanjiang City and was a teacher at the Dachang Elementary School. He is detained in the Nanjiang City Detention Center.
Yu Zhuanping, from Pukou, Nanjiang City, is detained in a detention center.
Yang Minglan, Yang Weizhen and others are being held in the brainwashing class.
5. [Jiangsu Province] Many Dafa Practitioners from Changzhou and Wujun Have Been Sent to Brainwashing Classes
Since May 2005, many Dafa practitioners from the Changzhou and Wujun areas were sent to brainwashing classes, including Yuan Huaqin, Zhang Yongxia, Lou Zhengfang, Xu Liangdi, Xu Guozhong, among others.
6. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Zhang Yingmei Sentenced to Four Years in Prison for Clarifying the Truth
Ms. Zhang Yingmei is a Dafa practitioner from Dafang County. She was born on November 3, 1971. After Jiang's regime started persecuting Falun Dafa, she went to Beijing to validate Dafa and was arrested. She was sent back to her hometown and detained at the Yang'ai Farm in Guiyang City to serve a three year sentence. She was released on November 3, 2002. She was arrested again and sentenced to four years in prison because she clarified the truth to people. After being detained at the Dafang Detention Center for more than 8 months, she was sent to Guiyang City on July 4, 2005.
7. [ZhaoYang City, Liaoning Province] Feng Li and Yang Xiaodong Infected with Virulent Disease While in Detention
Dafa practitioners Feng Li and Yang Xiaodong from ZhaoYang City, Liaoning Province have been detained in the Songshanqu Detention Center at Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia for two months so far. While in the detention center, Feng Li was infected with virulent disease. She is still being held there in isolation. Her family went to visit her recently and found her condition had become more serious.

8. [Beijing] Pan Ke Sent to the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp
Dafa practitioner Pan Ke from Shijingshan was sent to the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp. This is the third time he's been sent to the camp. Previously, Pan Ke was arrested and held at a detention center because he distributed pamphlets. His brother, Pan Xu, was also implicated and sent to a detention center. He has since been released.
9. [Guangan City, Sichuan Province] Wang Qizhen Was Detained for 15 Days for Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials
On April 5, 2005, Wang Qizhen, an older Dafa practitioner from Guangan City, Sichuan Province was arrested while he was distributing truth-clarifying materials in the countryside. Security personnel confiscated his property and detained him for 15 days.
