1. Teacher Ms. He Jiao Is Sentenced to Prison by Maojian District Court in Shiyan City, Hubei Province

On May 11, 2005, Maojian District Court in Shiyan City, Hubei Province sentenced Ms. He Jiao, a young teacher employed by the Shiyan City Experimental High School, to three years in prison. The Shiyan City 610 Office orchestrated the entire process. Ms. He was arrested because she played a Falun Dafa truth clarifying video for her class. Ms. He refused to plead guilty to the charge, which infuriated the 610 Office head, and he demanded that the court sentence Ms. He Jiao to prison. Ms. He Jiao's family is appealing her conviction to the appellate court.

2. Mr. Lu Naicong from Beipiao City, Liaoning Province Arrested A Forth Time - His Family Members Threatened for Appealing for His Release

On May 13, 2005, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Lu Naicong, 60, from Beipiao City, Liaoning Province was reported to the police while clarifying the truth to people in Taijiying Township, Beipiao City, Liaoning Province. He was later arrested by local police, then detained in the Beipiao City Detention Center. This is the forth time he has been arrested. His eighty-year-old mother and family members actively tried to get him released from detention, and they were threatened by the police for their actions on his behalf. Mr. Lu went to Beijing to appeal in July 1999, and was detained for 15 days. In April 2001, he was arrested by local police and sentenced to one year of forced labor. He was released six months later, after police extorted 5000 yuan from his family. The third time, he was reported to the police by his son-in-law's father, resulting in a two-year sentence of forced labor in the Xidayingzi Labor Camp in Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province. The person who reported him subsequently died of throat cancer while Mr. Lu was in detention.

3. Recent Persecution Facts from Huili County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province

1) On the evening of May 15, 2005, officers from the Yimen Police Substation arrested Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Li Hongxiu and Ms. Li Qingxiu from Xia Village, Yimen Township. Huili County State Security agents ransacked their homes at about 3:00 a.m. that same night.

2) On May 16, 2005, several Falun Dafa practitioners from Huili County went to Xia Village to find out the status of their two fellow practitioners who had been abducted. They themselves were reported to the police on their way home, and four of them were arrested, interrogated in the county police station, and two of the fellow practitioners' homes were ransacked.

3) On May 23, 2005, Huili County State Security Division Head Yang Shaoliang (male) ransacked Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhuang Huirong's home with a group of agents.

4) On May 24, 2005, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wu, an older lady, told fellow practitioners that the Neighborhood Administration chairperson Li Chaokun (gender unknown) invited her to dinner. Soon thereafter Ms. Wu was arrested by state security agents.

5) Huili County Police Station Deputy Director Lu Jianrong sent Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhou Shunguo a notice indicating that he would be put on trial a second time. Mr. Zhou was bailed out on parole last year, after paying five thousand yuan in extortion money to the police.

4. Seventy Year Old Ms. Zhang Zhenlan from Qi County, Henan Province is Brutally Beaten by Deputy Director of the County Police Station

Ms. Zhang Zhenlan is in her 70's and lives in Qi County, Henan Province. On January 30, 2005, Ms. Zhang Zhenlan was printing, "Falun Dafa is Great" on a utility pole when she was arrested by the county state security agents. Deputy Director Chen Xiuzhong (male) of Qi County State Security Division severely beat Ms. Zhang to unconsciousness. She suffered hemorrhaging from her nose and mouth. Ms. Zhang was interrogated and held in the detention center. The state security agents demanded ten thousand yuan from her children, but they did not have the money. Police held her in custody for twenty days following the ten days at the detention center. Her son worked valiantly to free her, borrowing four thousand yuan to buy gifts of bribery for the policemen, resulting in Ms. Zhang being released.
