1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Rongrong Holds Hunger Strike in the Shenyang Prison Complex
Ms. Gao Rongrong was a clerk in the Finance Division of the Luxun Art Institute in Shenyang City. Tang Yubao and other officers at the Longshan Forced Labor Institute in Shenyang City disfigured her face by torturing her for 7 hours with electric batons. On around March 9 of this year, Ms. Gao was arrested again. She is being held and tortured in Shenyang Prison Complex located in the Masanjia area. She has remained on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

2. [Heilongjiang Province] More Information about the Persecution of Mr. Yao Changqing's Family Members
Late in the evening of March 3, 2005, officers from the Shengli Police Station in Fuxing Village, Tangyuan County, Jiamusi City broke into Mr. Yao Changqing's home. The officers were looking for Falun Dafa materials, but did not find any. Mr. Yao managed to escape with the help of righteous thoughts. The police took his son, Mr. Yao Jinyu, who is also a practitioner, into custody and tortured him that night. He was then sent to the Tangyuan Detention Center.
Prior to this, Mr. Yao's family had already paid a fine of almost 10,000 yuan. His elder sister was just released from a forced labor camp. On the night of March 4, after Mr. Yao was forced to leave home, three robbers with knives broke into his home. They stabbed and injured his family members.

3. [Shaanxi Province] Ms. Bai Changling and Other Practitioners from Xi'an City Held in Detention Centers
Officers from the local police station arrested Ms. Bai Changling, Mr. Li Zhao, and Mr. Zhou Jiankui. They are being tortured in Yanta Road Detention Center. Mr. Wang Kaoze and Ms. Li Yanfang are being tortured in the Lianhu Road Detention Center.
4. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Shuyun, Ms. Zhang Yuqin and Ms. Ji Shumei Arrested for Hanging Truth Clarifying Banners
At around 7:00 p.m. on March 23, 2005, Ms. Zhang Shuyun, Ms. Zhang Yuqin and Ms. Ji Shumei hung up banners clarifying the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. Police officers who were staked out in the Fangxiao area arrested them. They are being held in Xincun. Currently, they are on hunger strikes to resist the persecution.
5. [Hubei Province] The Wuhan City 610 Office Arrests Ms. Shen Hongmei
Ms. Shen Hongmei, 30, is an employee of the Huasheng Electric Plant, affiliated with the Huasheng Aluminum and Electric Company, Ltd. in Hubei Province. At the end of February 2005, when she was on her way home from work, members of the Wuhan City 610 Office arrested her for distributing truth clarifying materials. She is now in custody.

6. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Lu Yi Abused in Mental Hospital
Lu Yi, a senior engineer, graduated from the Daqing Petroleum Institute in 1985. Lu Yi has been tortured, beaten, and endured extended imprisonment for practicing Falun Gong. The police also ransacked Lu's home. Recently, the police conspired with company leaders and sent Lu to the Jiaozhou City Rehabilitation Center (a psychiatric hospital) where he was subjected to mental and physical abuse.

8. [Gansu Province] Wuwei State Security Officers Arrest Several Falun Dafa Practitioners at Their Homes
On February 23, 2005, state security officers from Wuwei, Gansu Province simultaneously arrested Mr. Zhang Yanju and Ms. Tai Meihua, who is from Wuhe Township, at their homes. Several other Falun Dafa practitioners were also arrested at their homes on the same day. The officers confiscated Falun Dafa materials, two personal computers, bank deposit receipts, cash and other items.
9. [Yunnan Province] Mr. Dai Penshun Taken into Custody after Being Released from Three Years of Forced Labor
Mr. Dai Penshun, 54, is a worker at the People's Liberation Army Fertilizer Plant in Kaiyuan City, Yunnan Province. He served three years of forced labor starting in February 2001. On February 11, 2005, officers from the city's state security squad, along with plant security officials again took Mr. Dai into custody. They also ransacked his home.
10. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Jing Arrested
Ms. Zhang Jing, who is in her sixties, lives on Jilin Road in the Bei District of Qingdao City. In March 2005, the police arrested her while she was delivering truth clarifying materials. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a large number of copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. The detention center refused to admit her because of her high blood pressure and heart disease. She was subsequently sent to the Qingdao 610 Office Brainwashing Center located at No. 34 Mingxia Road. Ms. Zhang Jing is on a hunger strike in the brainwashing center. She is very weak and needs the assistance of two people to walk.
11. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Feng and Another Person Arrested
On March 10, 2005, the police followed Ms. Yu Feng after she left her home in Changchun. They then arrested her. She is being held in the Shuangyang No. 3 Detention Center. Another person, whose name is unknown, was arrested with her.
12. [Yunmeng, Hubei Province] Mr. Guan Zhongqiang Tortured in Shayang Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Guang Zhongqiang from Yunmeng has been tortured in the No. 9 Division (the maximum security division) of Shayang Forced Labor Camp. His condition is so serious that when his wife visited him, he passed out and fell to the ground.

13. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Jianping and Ms. Li Muzhen from Luan County Arrested and Harassed
On February 18, 2005, officers from the Ciyutuo Police Station, the Luan County Police Bureau and the Ciyutuo Town Government tricked Ms. Liu Jianping into coming to the police station. She was later arrested and taken to the Luan County Detention Center. On February 26, her family was ordered to take her home.
On February 18, 2005, Yuan (surname) from the Luan County Police Bureau, Wang Wenjiang from the Ciyutuo Town Government, and Yang Yong from the police station attempted to arrest Ms. Li Muzhen at her home. Ms. Li resisted, and villagers who knew the truth interfered, so the police did not succeed.
On March 3, 2005, officials from the local police station went to Ms. Li's home again to coerce her into writing a Guarantee Statement. To avoid being persecuted, Ms. Li, who had a slight disability in her legs, jumped from her apartment. This incident angered the local residents. The next day, village officials went to the town office to demand that she be treated fairly.
14. [Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Shufen and Ms. Li Cuizhi Arrested
At around 10:00 a.m. on March 18, 2005, officers Chen Guohua and Liu Jian from the Kaoshan Police Station, along with Liu Yuhua, head of the neighborhood committee who lived at No. 1, second floor, third unit of building 13, Songyuan District, went to Ms. Li Cuizhi's home at the middle apartment, fifth floor of the east unit, building 12, Songyuan District. When Liu Yuhua knocked on the door, Chen Guohua and Liu Jian were hiding behind him. After Liu Yuhua tricked Ms. Li into opening the door, the two policemen broke in and searched her home without presenting any legal documents.
Ms. Sun Shufen was visiting Ms. Li Cuizhi. The police made up a search warrant after Ms. Sun and Ms. Li were taken to the police station. The officers also searched the homes of Ms. Sun Shufen and Mr. Shang Xiaoqiang (also a Falun Dafa practitioner). Shang Xiaoqiang was not at home, but his wife was there.
At about 4:00 p.m., the police sent Ms. Li Cuizhi and Ms. Sun Shufen to the Longtan Police Sub-Bureau, then to the Third Detention Center of Jilin City.

15. [Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Hongyi from Qitaihe Arrested and His Home Ransacked
At 10:00 p.m. on March 23, 2005, officers from the Qiezihe Police Station arrested Mr. Liu Hongyi from Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province. At 2:00 p.m. on March 24, about six policemen went to his home and confiscated his videos. They took one copy of Zhuan Falun and one set of exercise music.

On March 25, 2005, someone reported Ms. Tang Chunfang to the National Security Brigade when she was posting truth-clarification posters. She was arrested and taken to the police bureau. She is currently being held in the First Detention Center of Tongshan County.

17. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Mr. Bei Taiwei Arrested
Mr. Bei Taiwei is a young teacher at the First Experimental Elementary School of Taian City. When he clarified the truth about Falun Gong to students in the classroom, some parents who did not know the truth reported him to police. At around noon on March 25, 2005, officers from the Taian District Police Sub-Bureau arrested him. Mr. Bei has been detained without any proper legal procedures being followed.

Shiyan City, Hubei Province will conduct a trial of Ms. He Jiao, who is a teacher at the Experimental Middle School of Shiyan City, Hubei Province. On April 1, 2005, Ms. He was arrested after showing the video "Between Heaven and Earth" to students in her classroom. Ms. He is being held in the First Detention Center of Shiyan City.

Mr. Peng Xinhua, 48, is a teacher at the Shizi Village Elementary School in Hechang Township, Dangling County, Sichuan Province. He started practicing Falun Gong in 2003. At the time, he suffered from numerous illnesses. After beginning the practice he regained his health. In November 2004, he played the footage of the staged Tiananmen Immolation Incident for others to see and was taken into custody. On March 25, 2005, the Dangling County Court sentenced him to four years in prison.
21. [Liaoning Province] Ms. Tang Yusong Arrested for Clarifying the Truth
Around March 23, 2005, Ms. Tang Yusong, a lecturer in the Chinese Language Department at the Teachers' Institute of Shenyang University, played truth clarifying video footage in class. She was turned in to the authorities and arrested. Ms. Tang is being held in a detention center in Shenyang City.
22. [Fujin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Xu Zhongrang and Several Other Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Xu Zhongrang, Mr. Li Zaiyi, Ms. Li Yixia, Mr. Li Rongtang, Mr. Tian Shiwu and another practitioner, all from Fujin City, Heilongjiang Province, were arrested after villagers called the police on March 23, 2005.
