1. [Handan City, Hebei Province] The Police Detain Ms. Qi Shuchun
On the night of February 23, 2005, the police arrested Ms. Qi Shuchun. Since then, she has continued to clarify the truth, resisted the persecution with righteous thoughts and conducted a hunger strike. Recently, the Handan City Police transferred Ms. Qi from the city's No. 1 Detention Center to a brainwashing center, in an attempt to force her to renounce Falun Gong. They did not succeed. Then, they tried to transfer her to the Forced Labor Camp in Shijiazhuang City, but the camp refused to accept her. Instead, they had to send her back to the No. 1 Detention Center; but the detention center also refused to accept her. The police then sent Ms. Qi to the No. 2 Detention Center, where she was also not accepted. Finally, officers from the 610 Office personally sent her to the No. 2 Detention Center and forcibly detained her there to be tortured.
Right now Ms. Qi is extremely weak and her life is in imminent danger.
2. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Longfeng District Resident Mr. Liu Wei Arrested
Mr. Liu Wei lived in the factory district in the Longfeng District. At 9 a.m. on April 12, 2005, nine policemen from the Longfeng District Police Station broke into his home and arrested him. Then they sent him to the detention center where he is currently detained. After that, seven to eight policemen broke into Mr. Liu's house again and ransacked it.
3. [Chengdu City, Sichun Province] Dr. Liao Peimin Arrested and Detained at a Brainwashing Center; Her Daughter is Alone with No One to Take Care of Her
On April 12, 2005, the Zhimin Road Community Office of Wuhou District arrested Chengdu City resident Dr. Liao Peimin and sent her to the Brainwashing Center of Jinhua Town, Wuhou District.
Dr. Liao used to work as a physician at the No. 7 Hospital of Chengdu City. On four occasions, she went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa. After that, the hospital terminated her employment. The officials of the Zhimin Road Community Office worried that she might go to Beijing to appeal again, so they arranged for her to work in the community tax office located at a computer shopping center called Bainaohui. By doing this, they could monitor her. They also followed her to and from work, thus violating her basic rights.
Dr. Liao's daughter, Liao Yamei, is a first-year student at the Art Institute of Sichuan Music School, majoring in animation. Ms. Liao's husband has passed away. Now her daughter is alone, without her mother's care and she is in a difficult situation.

4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Kui, an Employee of the Tangshan City Affiliate of Chinese Petroleum Corporation, Arrested
At 8:30 p.m. on April 4, 2005, police officers from the Development District Police Station of Tangshan City arrested Mr. Wang Kuiwhen because he was distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. He was then sent to the Development District Police Department. On April 5, Mr. Wang was sent to the No. 2 Detention Center of Tangshan City and is still detained there. The police do not allow his family and colleagues to visit him. There is no information about his current situation.
5. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] The Police Arrest Many Falun Dafa Practitioners
On March 19, 2005, the police broke into the homes of two Nanzamu residents, Ms. Pei Dongzhi and her sister Ms. Pei Donghua and arrested them. The police seriously injured them and also robbed their mother of 600 yuan.
Besides the Pei sisters, the Nanzamu District also arrested other practitioners. They include Ms. Li Shumei, Ms. Zhou and others. The police lied to them by asking them to come to the police station to handle a small matter that would only take 10 minutes. After they arrived at the police station, however, they were arrested. Two of them were released after they paid the fine; they are Ms. Shi and Mr. Zheng Debin. Ms. Shi's husband, Mr. Song Wanshou, and Mr. Zheng's family gave the police 5,000 yuan and 10,000 yuan respectively.
6. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Mr. and Mrs. Li Zaimin Sentenced to Six and Three Years in Prison
On July 23, 2004, Mr. Li Zaimin's wife was arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials. Mr. Li was arrested the same day at home. In January of 2005, Mr. and Mrs. Li were sentenced to six and three years of in prison respectively. Their son, only six years old, is now without the care of his parents and lives with his elderly grandmother. They live a difficult life.

7. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Xushan Arrested
Mr. Wang Xushan, in his 60s, was arrested on the night of April 7, 2005, when he was distributing truth-clarifying materials in the Beiguan District. He is now detained in the Jiaozhou City Detention Center. His family is not allowed to visit him.

Around April 7, 2005, Chen Xiaodong, who works for the 610 Office of Changyi City, Weifang, Shandong Province, arrested Mr. Fan Lincheng (former Associate Supervisor of Liuhe Town), Mr. Lin Yongshun of Liuhang Village, Mr. Li Huiqiang of Jintai Village (he went to Lin Yongshun's house to help him water his field and was arrested there), and Ms. Wang Lihua of Qingbu Village.
9. [Fuyu County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gao Yajuan, Ms. Liu Guirong and Ms. Cheng Yanhua of Erdaowan Township Arrested
Around March 31, 2005, Ms. Gao Yajuan, Ms. Liu Guirong and Ms. Cheng Yanhua of Xinxing Village, Erdaowan Township, Fuyu County, Heilongjiang Province were clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa at the house of a local villager. They were reported to the police and are now detained in the Fuyu County Detention Center.

10. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhu Shuai on a Hunger Strike for 12 Days at the Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp
According to inside sources, Ms. Zhu Shuai who is detained in Unit 4, Brigade 6 of the Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City, has been on a hunger strike for 12 days to protest her imprisonment. She has also suffered electric shock torture four times.
11. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] The Police Arrested Mr. Yang Jinli and Detained him at the No. 1 Detention Center of Jinzhou City
On March 29, 2005, the Petro Police Station police arrested Mr. Yang Jinli when he was working at Jinzhou Tianyuan Inc. He is currently detained at the Jinzhou City No. 1 Detention Center.
12. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] The Police from Lianyungang City and Ganyu County Arrest Many Falun Dafa Practitioners
Towards the end of March 2005, the police departments and the 610 offices in Lianyungang City and Ganyu County of Jiangsu Province intensified the arrest of Falun Gong practitioners. Among those who were arrested are Mr. Yu Bin and his wife; they were arrested by the Pudong Police Station of Lianyungang City. Their whereabouts are still unknown. Five other practitioners who are detained at the Ganyu County Detention Center are Ms. Shi Shuru, Ms. Zhong Xicai, Ms. Zhang Yuanyuan, Mr. Tan Jian and Mr. Lu.
13. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Fang Zhengdong of Chenghua District Arrested
On March 28, 2005, at about 8 p.m., the police followed Mr. Fang Zhengdong when he was clarifying the truth and distributing truth-clarifying materials in the Third Section, east of the Shuinian River. Four or five policemen handcuffed his hands behind his back and took him away. Currently, his whereabouts are unknown.
14. [Shanghai City] Several Pudong New District Practitioners Arrested
On April 6, 2005, several practitioners from the Pudong New District of Shanghai City gathered at Ms. Qian Jianying's home to study the Fa and share experiences. Police officers, mostly from the Weifang Police Station of Pudong New District, broke into Ms. Qian's home and arrested her along with Ms. Zhu Wenxian, Ms. Tao Lanying, Fa Zhengping, Ms. Shen Wenjuan and others who were there. Altogether, a total of nine practitioners were arrested.
Everyone is still detained at the Pudong New District Detention Center, except for two elderly women who were released because of their age and health condition.
15. [Beijing City] Mr. Li Yongquan Detained at the Changping District Detention Center in Beijing City
Mr. Li Yongquan had been missing since the summer of 2004 when he was last seen distributing truth-clarifying materials. At the end of 2004, his classmate, who lives quite far from Beijing City, received a phone call from Gao, the chief of the Changping District Detention Center in Beijing City. Mr. Li's classmate thus learned that he is now detained at the Changping District Detention Center. Gao said that Mr. Li suffered from tuberculosis and hoped that his classmate could visit him.
16. [Beijing City] Ms. Chen Haifeng, a Beijing University of Chemical Technology Employee, Arrested; Her Husband Passes Away
Around the Chinese National Day in October of 2004, Ms. Chen Haifeng and her husband, Mr. An Fentian, both employees of the Beijing University of Chemical Technology, were on their way to visit Mr. An's father. Ms. Chen was distributing truth-clarifying materials and someone reported her to the police; thus, they were arrested. Later, Mr. An Fentian was released due to high blood pressure. At the end of the month, Mr. An suddenly lost consciousness. He died shortly after he was rushed to the hospital and received emergency treatment.
Ever since her arrest, Ms. Chen Haifeng's whereabouts have been unknown. Before that, she was arrested many times. Her old grandmother of nearly 90 years of age now lives by herself at Ms. Chen's house.
17. [Beijing City] Ms. Liu Xiangfen of Haidian District Arrested at Home
On February 28, 2005, Ms. Liu Xiangfen of the Shangdixi Area, Haiding District, Beijing City was arrested at home. Her house was ransacked. She is currently detained at the Qinghe Detention Center of Haidian District. She has three children: the oldest is in high school, the second one is in primary school, and the youngest is only a year old. For several days after her arrest, the police monitored the area near her home and arrested at least six other practitioners.
18. [Longjiang County, Heilongjiang Province] Six Practitioners Including Ms. Luo Guixiang, Ms. Lin Yan, Mr. Li Longji, Ms. Wu Xiuli and Mr. Zhou Hongfeng Arrested
Recently, the police of Longjiang County, Heilongjiang Province arrested six practitioners including Ms. Luo Guixiang, Ms. Lin Yan, Mr. Li Longji, Ms. Wu Xiuli and Mr. Zhou Hongfeng.
19. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] The Police from Jintang County Arrest Mr. Gao Congping
On April 12, 2005, around 9 a.m., officers from the police department of Jintang County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province arrested Mr. Gao Congping. Inside sources indicate that there was no particular reason for the arrest except for the purpose of meeting a preset quota of arrests of Falun Gong practitioners. Lin Hongshu, acting on an order from upper level authorities, commanded the police to arrest Mr. Gao.

20. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Feng Xuehui Arrested
On the evening of April 8, 2005, the police arrested Ms. Feng Xuehui of Houwang Village in Guan Town, Guan County, Shandong Province after following her for seven days. The police confiscated her computer, printer and other personal items. Currently, Ms. Feng is being detained at the Guan County Detention Center.
21. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wang Xiaosong of Dayi County Detained at the Xinjin Brainwashing Center
In November 2003, Mr. Wang Xiaosong of Dayi County, Chengdu City was released after serving three years at a forced labor camp. After his release, the company where he worked constantly monitored him. On the night of April 3, 2005, Mr. Wang was forcibly arrested and taken to the police station again. He is currently detained at the Xinjin Brainwashing Center, where he is being tortured.
22. [Huaying Town, Sichuan Province] Mr. Lei Xingdian and Ms. Wang Yunfei are Detained
Mr. Lei Xingdian and his wife, Ms. Wang Yunfei, are Falun Dafa practitioners from Huaying Town, Guangan City, Sichuan Province. When they went back to their hometown to visit their mother, they were arrested because they clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to the local people. The National Security Brigade of Huaying Town has detained them at a detention center.
23. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hu Jinhua Detained
On the afternoon of April 12, 2005, Ms. Hu Jinhua of Cangzhou City, Hebei Province took a bus to her home in Nanzhaoguanying Village in Dulin Town. She was reported to the police because she clarified the truth about Falun Gong to the passengers on the bus. At 7 p.m., officers from the Dulin Town Police Station ransacked her home. Around 10 p.m., Ms. Hu was arrested and taken to the police station.

24. [Shanghai City] Mr. Shen Jie Jailed at Tilanqiao Prison of Shanghai City
Mr. Shen Jie, 27 years old, graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 1999. He was a good student. After he graduated, he had difficulty finding a job because he steadfastly practices Falun Dafa. Later, he went back to his hometown, Hangzhou City, and found a job there.
Mr. Shen often clarified the truth about Falun Gong in both Hangzhou City and Shanghai City. The police from these two cities hunted for him everywhere. In June 2002, the Shanghai police arrested Mr. Shen and sentenced him to six years in prison. He has been jailed at the Tilanqiao Prison of Shanghai City and is being tortured there. He is suffering both physically and mentally from the torture.
25. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhang Qingshu of Wenjiang District Arrested
On June 3, 2004, at around 11:00 a.m., Mr. Zhang Qingshu went to the market. On his way back home, a number of policemen headed by Li Daichun from the Hesheng Police Station arrested him. Nobody knew Mr. Zhang's whereabouts for a long time. After investigating and verifying the information, it is now known that Mr. Zhang was secretly sentenced to three years in prison and is incarcerated at the Wenjiang Detention Center of Chengdu City.
26. [Baicheng City, Jilin Province] The Tielu No. 1 Primary School in Baicheng City Persecutes Ms. Li Yangbo
Ms. Li Yangbo is a teacher at the Tielu No. 1 Primary School in Baicheng city. She used to suffer from chronic anemia and she was on medical leave earlier this year. In February of 2005, she started to practice Falun Dafa and within 20 days, the disease that tortured her for five years disappeared. She fully recovered and personally experienced the magnificence of Dafa.
When Ms. Li returned to the school for work, ending her medical leave, she told her colleagues about her personal experiences and gave them truth-clarifying materials. One colleague reported her to Fan Xiuying, the secretary of the school. Two days later, Fan called Ms. Li and tricked her into going to the school to help handle some affairs. After Ms. Li arrived at the school, Fan and Sui Xianhong, the principle of the school, intimidated her and tried to force her to write a so-called Guarantee Statement. They also threatened her and said, "If you don't write it, we will report you to the Education Bureau." Recently, they have stopped paying Ms. Li's salary.
