1. How Falun Dafa Practitioners in Shahe City and Yongnian County, Hebei Province Were Persecuted After Tapping into TV Programming

After Falun Dafa practitioners tapped into the TV programming in Shahe City around the 2004 Chinese New Year, in order to clarify the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa, the authorities have been wildly persecuting practitioners in Shahe City, Xingtai Prefecture, and Yongnian County, Handan Prefecture. Mr. Gai Xinzhong from Yongnian County was force-fed to death. Mr. Li Zhenzhong from Yongnian County was hospitalized due to severe torture, and was force-fed nerve damaging drugs. Mr. Gao Diangui from Yongnian County went on a hunger strike when detained in Shahe City, and was later beaten to the point where he lost control of his bladder and bowels and could not move. When he was severely deformed and looked like he was going to die, the police sent him back to his family. Mr. Liu Deliang (Ms. Zhang Caixia's husband) was beaten until his life was in danger, then sent to the hospital for emergency treatment, as it appeared he had suffered heart attack. Later, the police sent him back to his family.

2. The "610 Office" Persecutes Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Wang Dechen from Acheng City, Heilongjiang Province

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Dechen from Acheng City, Heilongjiang Province is 50 years old. He used to work in the Livestock Disease Control Office of the Xinhua Town Government. On the evening of August 15, 2004, he was arrested when he drove to Xiaoling Town with a fellow practitioner; someone had reported them to the police. The Acheng City 610 Office and policemen interrogated him using torture and beatings. More than 20 Falun Dafa practitioners were arrested along with him. After he was detained in Acheng City Detention Center for weeks, Mr. Wang was sent for two years' forced labor without any legal procedures.

3. Persecution in the Shiliping Labor Camp in Zhejiang Province

Since July 23, 2003, all Falun Dafa practitioners in the Shiliping Labor Camp have been locked up separately with guards and drug addict prisoners watching over each of them. Practitioners have been tied to stools and forced to write "guarantee statements". Guards lock practitioners in solitary confinement or extend their sentences at will. Mr. Jiang Xiao Qiu and his brother Mr. Jiang Xiaosen from Anji County are locked in solitary confinement all the time. They both suffer from internal stomach bleeding and have lost so much weight that they look like skin and bones. Mr. Zhu Zuoxin from Jinhua City has been tortured and had his term extended for an additional three months. Guards shocked Mr. Li Jiancheng from Jinyun County with electric batons, using four batons at a time. He has been tortured using all sorts of methods. When he almost died, he was brought to the hospital and revived with emergency treatment. He was later sentenced to fourteen years in prison after his labor camp term ended, because of accusations of "passing out materials." Some other Falun Dafa practitioners were tortured with cigarette lighters burning their fingers and toes, stripped naked in winter to freeze outdoors, deprived of sleep, handcuffed to the door frame for several whole days, etc.

4. The Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhong Shujuan from Dalian City

In January 2001, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhong Shujuan from Dalian City, Liaoning Province was detained 18 days. Then in September, 2001 she was sent to the Dalian Forced Labor Camp, where she was tortured by being locked in a small cell (1), hung up from a steel pipe, hit with a chair, poked with a mop handle, hung up by her handcuffs which lacerated her hands until the wrist-bones were exposed, kicked in the genitals which made her private part swollen with purple black bruises and major bleeding. Her mouth was also swollen due to the beatings. She was released in January 2002 after being tortured using all kinds of inhuman means. After she returned home, she was again sentenced, this time to two years' forced labor, simply because she dared to "clarify the truth" about Falun Dafa. She was sent to the Second Women's Ward of the Masanjia Labor Camp, where she was tortured with seven days and nights' sleep deprivation, and other physical tortures. Once, only because she did the Falun Dafa exercises, she was locked in a dark cell for 12 days and not allowed to sleep. This continued torture made her suffer from high blood pressure, a high heart rate, and an abnormal blood count. She was once tortured in the bathroom for nearly 20 days, pressed to the floor and force-fed. On the evening of December 28, 2004, Ms. Zhong Shujuan was suddenly sent to a strictly controlled ward, and is now being tortured even more cruelly.

5. Ms. Lin Xiumei from Qing'an County, Heilongjiang Province Has Been Missing for Nearly One Year

Ms. Lin Xiumei, 34 years old, is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Qingan County, Heilongjiang Province. She is employed as a computer technician by the Qing'an County Transportation Management Station. The police have ransacked her home multiple times, arrested her many times, had her under surveillance, and extorted money from her. She was locked up in the Shuanghe Labor Camp in Qiqihar City starting on September 19, 2001. She was released on September 19, 2003, but was forced to become homeless in order to avoid being recaptured and tortured again. Nobody is aware of her situation since she became homeless.

(1) The detainee is locked up in a small cell that is less than three-square meters. Because of the size of the cell, the practitioners can neither stand nor lie down. The small cell is very damp and no sunshine comes in. It has no water, no bed, and no toilet. Detainees have to urinate and defecate in the cell. Only half of a regular meal is served. During the night the rats run around. The stench in the small cell is so bad that it is difficult to breathe. The guards also handcuff practitioners behind their backs in a fixed position, making it difficult for them to sleep.
