1. [Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province] A Female Practitioner Arrested in the Town of Qixingpao
In mid April 2005, a young female practitioner (name unknown), temporarily residing in Qixingpao, was arrested by more than ten local policemen in Qixingpao, Baoqing County. She is now held at the county detention center and the details are presently unknown.
2. [Heilongjiang Province] With Righteous Thoughts, Practitioner Ms. Li Ping Returns Home After Illegal Arrest
On April 19, 2005, Ms. Li Ping, while clarifying the truth of Falun Gong to the public was abducted by four policemen and taken to the Shuangyashan City Detention Center in Heilongjiang Province. She went on a hunger strike to protest against the persecution and ten days later she returned home.
3. [Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Ms. Wang Qi Unable to Care for Herself Due to Cruel Tortures at Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp
On the morning of March 2, 2005, the Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp forced over 30 practitioners from 7th division to sign a so-called "Helping and Teaching Agreement". The practitioners refused to sign their names and meanwhile clarified the truth to the guards. The guards became angry and abused the practitioners, shocking them with electric batons. Two or three male guards beat one female practitioner. Ms. Wang Qi (36 years old) was hit on the head by two guards with electric-batons and she immediately lost consciousness. She is still unable to walk or take care of herself.

4. [Heilongjiang Province] Persecution Experienced by Practitioner Ms. Zhang Feng at Harbin Women's Prison
On March 10, 2004, in order to protest against the persecution, Ms. Zhang Feng refused to wear a jail uniform or answer the guard when her name was called. She was handcuffed on the ground with her hands behind her back for an entire night. Because she practiced Falun Gong exercises, on March 12, 2004, Ms. Zhang was tortured for half a day on the 5th floor of the prison by the method called, "Big Hang Up" (1). The handcuffs cut deeply into her flesh and she sweat profusely. Only when she was throwing up and had to have a bowel movement, was she released from the torture.

5. [Beijing] Practitioner Mr. Gao Ju Has Been Missing Since December 2004
Mr. Gao Ju, about 40 years old, lived near the Gulou area, Dongcheng District, Beijing City. After the Epoch Times published the series of editorials the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in November 2004, causing the party great fear, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) vigorously promoted a campaign called "To Maintain the Advanced Nature of Party Members". At the beginning of December 2004, the party committee secretary and other leaders from Mr. Gao's company asked Mr. Gao whether he still practiced Falun Gong and his opinions on the "party". Mr. Gao told them that believing in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" was not wrong and he also explicitly expressed his own withdrawal from the CCP. They had discussed these issues with him on three occasions. Around December 25, 2004, it was discovered that Mr. Gao Ju was missing and to this day he has not been heard from.
6. [Heyuan, Guangdong Province] Police Abduct Falun Dafa Practitioners and Attempt to Sentence Them
On April 25, 2005, a group of Dafa practitioners from Heyuan City were arrested while they were studying the Fa together. Three of them, Ms. Huang Guixia, Mr. Huang Hainan and Ms. Liu Luotian, are still detained. The police are attempting to sentence them to forced labor camps.
7. [BinCounty, Heilongjiang Province] The Persecution Experiences of Practitioner Ms. Meng Qinglan
Ms. Meng Qinglan, 54 years old, from Bin County went to Hailun County, Heilongjiang Province, to attend her relative's wedding ceremony on February 27, 2005. During the ceremony, she gave truth-clarifying materials to people, which was reported to the authorities and she was arrested by the local police. She went on a hunger strike for 9 days and soon safely returned to her home. Ms. Meng has been abducted five times. In October 1999 when she was on her way to Beijing to appeal, she was abducted in Harbin City. Because she refused to renounce Falun Dafa, she was imprisoned for an extra seven months in the Bin County Jail. She was released after her family paid a fine to the 610 Office of the county. In 2000, some pictures slandering Dafa were displayed at an exhibition hall in Harbin City. Ms. Meng went there to take a stand for Dafa. She was arrested again and after being held for over forty days and having paid 2,000 yuan in fines, she was then allowed to go home. In December 2000, the Chang'an County Police Station was afraid that Ms. Meng might go to Beijing again, so the police took her to the county detention center. She was sentenced to a year in Wanjia Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City, where she refused to be "transformed" and did not sign her name on the three statements. Only after her whole body was covered with scabies, was she released. Just after the Chinese New Year of 2002, Ms. Meng Qinglan and her third youngest sister, Ms Meng Qingxia, cried out: "Falun Dafa is good" at Beijing's Tiananmen Square and soon they were arrested. On May 15, 2003, while Ms. Meng Qinglan and another practitioner were clarifying the truth on the streets, they were discovered by plainclothes detectives and arrested. They went on hunger strikes to protest, and on May 20, each of their families had to pay about 5,000 or 6,000 yuan to get them out of the detention center, otherwise, they would be sent to forced labor camp again.
8. [Kaiyuan, Liaoning Province] Practitioners Ms. Li Guihua and Ms. Su Changqin Arrested
On April 14, 2005, the police from Kaiyuan City Police Station met with Xiafei County Secretary of Communist Party, Zhao Zhenwen and Sixiafei Village Secretary of Communist Party, Zhu Yunbao. Led by Zhu Yunbao, the police illegally arrested Ms. Li Guihua and Ms. Su Changqin.

9. [Zhumadian City, Henan Province] Practitioners Ms. Gao Changyun and Ms. Liu Rong Arrested
At 12 a.m. on April 22, 2005, Zhang Guangyu and another plainclothes policeman arrested Ms. Gao. At 6 p.m., they arrested Ms. Liu as well and confiscated her belongings. Currently Ms. Gao Changyun is imprisoned at the Queshan County Detention Center in Zhumadia City and Ms. Liu Rong is imprisoned at the Liuge Detention Center in Zhumadian City.

10. [Guaomi, Shandong Province] Practitioner Ms. Shan Jihua Abducted by the Police
Around 10:30 a.m. on April 13, 2005, the police from the Kanjia County Police Station trespassed onto the property of Ms. Shan Jihua, 48 years old, from Xiapo Village, Kanjia County, Guaomi City. The police illegally confiscated Ms. Shan's Falun Dafa books and materials and abducted Ms. Shan and her daughter to the local police station. At 3:30 p.m. the police took Ms. Shan and her daughter to the Gaomi City Detention Center. After being held in custody for four days, her daughter was released. Ms. Shan Jihua and four other practitioners are now detained in the same cell.

(1) "Big Hang Up": There are two forms of this torture: (1) With both hands cuffed behind the back and only toes touching the ground, one is hung by a rope that is tied to the metal window frames; One hand of a practitioner is cuffed to one bunk bed and the other hand to another bed, and the two beds are pulled in the opposite direction. One feels extreme pain as the body is pulled.
