1. [Beijing] Sun Yi Held in a Brainwashing Center
Falun Gong practitioner Sun Yi from the Shijingshan District in Beijing was arrested in October 2004. In March 2005, Sun was transferred from a detention center to the Yuguanying Brainwashing Center in the Fangshan District in Beijing.
2. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Fang Dan, a Non-practitioner, Arrested
In the morning on April 14, 2005, personnel from the Futian District Police Department, the Shenzhen City 610 Office and the Shatou Police Station broke into a business in the Futian District in Shenzhen City and arrested Mr. Fang Dan. He is a temporary employee. That same day they transferred Mr. Fang to the Futian District Detention Center. Fifteen days had passed as of May 2, 2005. According to a Public Security Administration law, administrative detention should not be longer than 15 days; however, police have not release him. Mr. Fang's family came to the detention center to provide him with some clothing and requested to visit him. They were unable to deliver the clothing or visit him. Even the lawyer his family hired was not allowed to see him. According to police officers, Mr. Fang is not a Falun Dafa practitioner. He was arrested because he downloaded the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" and gave it to a Falun Gong practitioner.

3. [Xiaogan Area, Hubei Province] Persecution Facts of Some Practitioners in the Xiaogan Area
Practitioner Ms. Liu Qunfang from the Xiaogan Area, Hubei Province was sentenced to three years of forced labor. She is being held in the No.7 Team of the No.4 Division at the Shayang Fanjiatai Prison. Ms. Liu was supposed to be released in May 2005, but her detention term was extended by three months. Her family wanted to see her; however, the police attempted to extort 100,000 Yuan from them to grant the visit. So far the family has not gotten permission for the visit because they don't have the money.
On the morning of April 25, 2005, Leng Yanlan, a female officer from the Political and Security Team in the Xiaonan Police Department, Xiaogan Area, Hubei Province, led a group of police officers to break into the home of practitioner Ms. Yin Yulan and ransack her home. They also attempted to arrest Ms. Yin. They misled her by telling her that they would send her to a hospital. Ms. Yin shouted loudly for help and refused to comply with the arrest. The officers, led by Leng Yanlan, were afraid that people in the vicinity would know of the arrest attempt, so they tried to cover Ms. Yin's mouth. Finally, the police stole some personal belongings and left.
Mr. Yang Maoming, Yin Yulan's second son, used to be a practitioner, but he was tortured to the point of a mental breakdown after the authorities from the "610 Office" arrested him and put him into a forced brainwashing facility at Tangxun Lake near Wuhan City Hongshan Prison. He lost his employment and was forced to divorce. He has not fully recovered, so his mother, Ms. Yin, takes care of him.
4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Tian Chao Sent to a Brainwash Center for Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials
We have heard that at the end of 2004, practitioner Tian Chao from Wuhan City was sent to the Wuchang District Yangyuan Brainwashing Center for distributing truth-clarifying materials in Dongwan City, Guangdong Province. On April 4, 2005, Tian Chao was secretly sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor to be served at the Hewan Forced Labor Camp. Detailed information needs investigation.
5. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Guifu Sentenced to Two Years of Forced Labor
On April 28, 2005, the police forcibly took practitioner Ms. Liu Guifu from her home in Beijing. She was sentenced to two and a half years of forced labor. Ms. Liu is being held at the Dispatch Center at the Beijing Forced Labor Camp. Two drug abusers monitor her around the clock. They force Ms. Liu to stand or squat for a long time and deprive her of sleep.

On April 25, 2005, the police arrested practitioners Lu Jing who worked at the General Mechanic Company of Liaohe Oil Field and Zhao Jing from Panjin City, Liaoning Province at Dawa County Rongxing Farm in the city. The two practitioners are currently being held at the Dawa County Detention Center. We need to investigate to obtain more detailed information.
7. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Personnel from the Dasuihe Police Station Arrest Two Practitioners
On April 28, 2005, personnel from the Dashuihe Police Station arrested practitioners Sui Lijun at the Soudeng Station in Jilin City and practitioner Yu from the Dasuihe District. The reason for the arrest was that Sui Lijun went to Yu's shop to give a Falun Gong Tape to a new practitioner, and a customer reported her. On April 29, 2005, they were sent to Changchun City. Their current whereabouts are unknown.
8. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sun Shuqin Arrested for Distributing Falun Gong Truth-clarifying Materials
On May 1, 2005, personnel from the Jiaxi Yingjun Police Station arrested practitioner Ms. Sun Shuqin from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province on her way to her mother's home because she distributed truth-clarifying materials.
9. [Shandong Province] Ms. Li Guilan Is on a Hunger Strike at the Shandong Province No.1 Women's Forced Labor Camp and Is Extremely Weak
Ms. Li Guilan, an older Falun Gong practitioner from Jinan City, Shandong Province, has been on a hunger strike since November 20, 2004, when she was sent to the Shandong Province No.1 Women's Forced Labor Camp. She was arrested for distributing truth-clarifying materials. Currently she is extremely weak and has the symptoms of severe heart disease. The forced labor camp extorted 2,000 Yuan from her family "for a medical check-up." Her two daughters felt compelled to pay the money because they worried a lot about their mother.
This case has been exposed on the minghui.ca. website. Thus, when her family went to see her, the forced labor camp officials did not give them permission for this visit. They said, "We won't let you see Li Guilan because you put her case on Internet." The police told them, "Li Guilan wants to get out by means of a hunger strike. If we release her, doesn't it mean that we think what she did is right? We won't release her, even if her health is bad."

13. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Multiple Practitioners Arrested for Using the Internet
On April 28, 2005, the police arrested practitioner Xiao Guozhi from the Diaobingshan District, Tieling City and confiscated his bankbook containing deposits of over 10,000 Yuan, together with 6,000 Yuan cash and a computer. Prior to this incident practitioner Mr. Liu Yugang had been detained. We have heard that the Internet police traced him while he was using an Internet broadband connection. According to related information, 20 people have been arrested for using Internet broadband connections. Right now, the two practitioners are being held in the city detention center.
14. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
On April 21, 2005, practitioners Chen Shihuan, Chen Shuhua and Chen Shihuan's son, a non-practitioner, were arrested at work. Their homes were also ransacked. The incident has been reported.
On April 27, practitioners Li Zhaoxia, Zang Shujie and Li Dezhen were arrested and their homes ransacked.
On April 30, practitioner Zhang Shuxiang was arrested and the home ransacked. Details of the situation are unknown.
