(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Xu Xiaolong, a 47-year-old Tianjin Falun Dafa practitioner, was an engineer in a Heat Preservation Factory of Tianjin Bohai Petroleum Trading Company. Mr. Xu was dismissed from this factory earlier for practicing Falun Gong.
Because of firmly practicing Falun Gong, Mr. Xu was arrested by his former work unit and local police station on October 28, 1999.
On March 22, 2000, Mr. Xu was sentenced to five years by the Tianjin No. 1 Intermediate Court. He pleaded not guilty and immediately appealed to the Tianjin Superior Court. The Tianjin Superior Court upheld the previous sentence.
In May 2000, Mr. Xu was sent to Tianjin No. 1 Jail in Liyuantou, Tianjin City. During that time, Mr. Xu Xiaolong wrote 28 pages of factual material to expose the brutal persecution toward practitioners in the Tianjin No. 1 Jail. However, the written material was confiscated by Fan Yasheng and other policemen. October 27, 2004 was the original date for Mr. Xu's release, but Fan Yasheng and others said he was "not transformed well" and transferred Mr. Xu Xiaolong to a detention center in the Tianjin Public Security Bureau.
At the detention center, Mr. Xu Xiaolong wrote more material exposing the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in Tianjin No. 1 Jail. The police who participated in the persecution in the Tianjin No. 1 Jail include: Wang Jinshan, Fan Yasheng, Cui Yushan, Yang Po, Liu Yunling, Ma Qinigjun, Lu Wenyuan, and Li Qiang. The Tianjin No. 1 Jail forced practitioners to wear heavy shackles and made them tour the jail by walking from the first floor to the fourth floor and back. The practitioners had to walk constantly until their feet were covered with blood. In the mean time, Mr. Xu also wrote an appeal letter. The material and the appeal letter were meant to be sent to the Appeal Section of Tianjin Superior Court. However, it was transferred to policeman Zhao's hands in the legal system office at Xiqing Public Security Bureau. After finding out, the section leader Liu and others in the National Security Office at Tianjin Xiqing Public Security Bureau wanted to cover up the exposed police crimes disclosing the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, so they illegally sentenced Mr. Xu Xiaolong to another year and three months at a forced labor camp. In January 2005, they sent Mr. Xu Xiaolong to Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp in Beichen District in Tianjin City. Mr. Xu is still detained there.
When Mr. Xu Xiaolong was transferred from Tianjin No. 1 Jail to the Public Security detention center in Tianjin, his right arm was fractured from being beaten. It has been over five months since that time. One month ago, after his family members pleaded to visit him, they noticed that his right arm was still not recovered yet.
Five months have passed since Mr. Xu Xiaolong's scheduled release date. Mr. Xu Xiaolong's father, who is 80 years old, and his family members traveled four times from Sichuan Province to Tianjin City. They went to different places and inquired about Xiaolong's situation and his whereabouts. They requested his unconditional release. On March 11, 2005, Mr. Xu's father traveled with his mother, who is in her 70s (she is in a wheelchair from being persecuted and is paralyzed on the right side of her body). They rented a room in Xiqing district, Tianjin City and stayed there for two months. They went to Xiqing Public Security Bureau and requested to see their son. However, they were refused by the section leader Liu from the National Security office and others at Xiqing Public Security Bureau. They would not meet with Mr. Xu's parents.
The elderly couple was able to see Director Liu on a visitor day, but his attitude towards them was very rude. The Xiqing Public Security Bureau has never sent any notice to Xiaolong's family telling them where Xiaolong was detained and never allowed them to visit Xiaolong.
Liqizhuang police station is another organization participating in the persecution and retaliation against Xiaolong.
