(Clearwisdom.net) Thirteen years ago on May 13, Master publicly introduced Falun Dafa for the first time to the world. Today, Falun Dafa has been spread in 78 countries and regions, favoring sentient beings around the world. In order to celebrate the 13th anniversary of Falun Dafa's introduction and let more people experience the blessings of Dafa, Falun Gong practitioners in the Washington and Oregon came to Sequim, a city in the northwest corner of Washington on Saturday, May 14, 2005, to participate in the 110th Irrigation Festival Parade. Sequim is a famous tourist attraction with brilliant sunshine all year long, and there are a lot of tourists.

From prior to the parade until the end of the parade, a big colorful ring appeared around the sun. People all looked up and were amazed. Falun Gong practitioners' contingent led by majestic waist drummers, lion dancing and a float, attracted people's attention. People warmly applauded and acclaimed, "Falun Dafa" for the practitioners' first presentation in Sequim.

It was the first time for most people to see the Chinese waist drum performance, and they were amazed at the practitioners' demeanor. Children especially liked the lion dancing, because it was especially entertaining. On the float, an adorable five-year-old practitioner was sitting in the middle of a small lotus flower. Practitioners sitting in big lotus flowers demonstrated the five sets of the exercises peacefully. Another two practitioners demonstrated the standing exercises. Practitioners in Tang Dynasty Costume waved to greet the audience. Practitioners distributing materials were very busy, as many people requested materials. Some people raised questions on the spot, and many other people respectfully accepted the Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials with both hands.
In front of the presiding stage, the host told the audience that Falun Gong is Chinese traditional cultivation practice of both mind and body, and that Falun Gong teaches "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." It's great, thank you for coming to Sequim!

After the parade, practitioners had a photo taken to wish Master a Happy Birthday. This day, practitioners were pleased that another area in northwest of America with a large population was bathed in the Buddha's light of Dafa.
