1. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Practitioners Including Ms. Zhao Ronghua Were Arrested and Sent to Forced Brainwashing
On the afternoon of April 18, 2005, several people from the local Heping Street Neighborhood Committee and the Police Substation arrested Ms. Zhao Ronghua, a national model worker, and sent her for forced brainwashing at the Anhui Provincial No. 2 Construction Company. There was a practitioner named Dai who was also arrested on the same day and sent for forced brainwashing.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Practitioners Including Ms. Cai Yuying and Ms. Luo Jing Were Arrested
At approximately 6:22 on April 20, 2005, five plainclothes policemen from the Gucheng Police Substation climbed over a wall, broke into a female practitioner's home and arrested a practitioner. They also arrested Ms. Cai Yuying and Ms. Luo Jing who were visiting her at the time.

On April 27, 2005, the police from Hongshi Town arrested Ms. Xu Shaomin from the Hongshi Forestry Bureau of Huadian City. It is said that the police had been staking out Ms. Xu's home for several days. Currently, Ms. Xu is being held at the Huadian City Detention Center.

4. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Aunty Liu Was Arrested
On April 14, 2005, the police searched Aunty Liu's home, which is located in the eastern suburban area of Chengdu City. They confiscated all of the Dafa materials that they found. Aunty Liu was arrested and is being held at the Chengdu City No. 1 Detention Center.
5. [Weifang City] Several Dafa Practitioners Were Arrested
Ms. Li Guijuan is a primary school teacher at the Yuheqiao Primary School in the Kuiwen District, Weifang City, Shandong Province. On the morning of April 29, 2005, several policemen arrested her at her workplace. Her current situation is still unknown.
Before the Weifang Kite Festival in 2005, the police from Weifang City arrested at least seven practitioners from Wangliu Town, Weifang District. Even today there are still some of them whose whereabouts are unknown. Family members of the other practitioners received notice that they had to pay five thousand yuan in fines if they wanted the practitioners to be released.
6. [Heilongjiang Province] The 610 Office of the Jiamushi Railway Pubic Security Bureau Arrested Four Practitioners Including Ms. Sun Shuzhi
On September 24, 2004, the 610 Office of the Jiamushi Railway Pubic Security Bureau arrested four practitioners, including Ms. Sun Shuzhi, Ms. Zhang Wenying, Ms. Zhang Li, and Yang Jianhua. Two thousand three hundred yuan that the practitioners carried with them was confiscated.

8. [Hebei Province] More News About the Zhang Lishan Couple's Arrest
It has been confirmed that the Zhang Lishan couple is currently in jail at the Xinhua District Law Education Center of Shijiazhuang City, which is located on the third floor of the Hostel of the Hebei Province Agricultural Science Research Institute. There are about eight people there to keep the couple under surveillance.
Their personal property (including printers and computers that the police took away when Mr. Zhang Lishan's home was searched) is now being kept at Shijiazhuang City Public Security Bureau. The police also took the couple's keys.
The couple was giving out truth clarification materials on their way to the Hebei Provincial Engineering and Electrical Institute. It is said that they were arrested after someone reported them to the police
9. [Zhaojue County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wu Shihai Was Tortured Severely after He Was Arrested
Mr. Wu Shihai from Zhaojue County, Liangshanzhou, Sichuan Province was arrested on April 6, 2005, and his home was searched. He was then released, but on April 27, the Public Security Bureau issued a "warrant" to arrest him. Mr. Wu was so severely tortured that he had to be sent to the hospital for urgent rescue shortly after he was arrested. Even so, the police still did not allow his family to visit him.
Mr. Wu has been jailed several times since 1999 (when the government started persecuting Falun Gong), and sentenced to labor camp twice. During his time in the labor camp, Wu Shihai was put into a mental hospital and was tortured there for nine months.
The policemen who participated in searching his home include Xu Zhihua and He Yong.
The policemen who issued the "warrant" are Xu Zhijun and Tian Maoqi.
10. [Wuhan City] More Information about the Five Practitioners from Wuhan Who Were Recently Arrested
At 3:30 p.m. on April 4, 2005, at No. 4 Changjiangxiang, Hanzheng Street, Qiaokou District, Wuhan City, members of the National Security Team arrested five practitioners. The police from the Qiaokou District and the Liji Street Police Substation were also involved in the arrest. Ms. Shang Yuping is one of the practitioners who was arrested. Her current whereabouts are unknown.
Before the Chinese New Year in 2000, the Qianjin Street Police Substation deceived Ms. Shang Yuping into leaving her home. She was arrested and sent to the Erdaopeng Brainwashing Center in the Jianghan District. They tried to force her to give up her belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." Since she did not cooperate with them, the authorities imprisoned her for two and a half years.
In June 2004, Ms. Shang Yuping was reported when she was clarifying the truth on a bus. She was arrested and sent to the Etouwan Brainwashing Center of Qiaokou District and was tortured there. After that, she became homeless and stayed away from home so that she would not be recaptured and tortured again. The 610 Office has harassed her family members several times.
11. [Jiang'an District, Wuhan City] Ms. Fan Li Was Arrested
At 10:00 a.m. on April 21, 2005, the police from the Jiang'an District 610 Office and from the police substation took Ms. Fan Li away from her Hair Salon. They sent her to the Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center. Mr. Fan's daughter clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to Hong Yanbing at the Wuhan City Yucai Middle School and also gave her a set of VCDs. However, Hong Yanbing did not accept the VCDs. Instead, she reported her to the Jiang'an District 610 Office.
12. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Bu Suzhen Was Tortured for Clarifying the Truth
On April 16, 2005, Ms. Bu Suzhen clarified the truth about Falun Dafa on her way back home on a train. There were police in a group nearby. When they realized what Ms. Bu was doing, the policemen named Duan Wenping and Zhao Yongxing, and others arrested her. Bu Suzhen is now jailed at the Datong Railway Public Security Section.
The police took away her truth-clarification materials, ID card, photograph, tickets, telephone book, and other items. They detained her for about five hours. Later, a policeman named Xing Baoquan from Chengqu sent Ms. Bu to the Xihuayuan Police Substation where she was tortured.
13. [Dongxihu, Wuhan City] Ms. Shi Xiaoqian and Ms. Huang Hongying Were Arrested from their Homes
On April 13 and 14, 2005, Ms. Shi Xiaoqian and Ms. Huang Hongying were arrested and sent to the Shandian Brainwashing Center at Dongxihu. Both of them were arrested while they were doing housework at home.

The police arrested Ms. Wang Guixia, Wang Hainan and Liu Luotian from Heyuan City, Guandong Province. They are now jailed at the detention center.
15. [Cangli County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Fengying Was Arrested and Sent to the Kaiping Labor Camp in Tangshan
Ms. Yang Fengying, 48 years old, from Yanggui Village, Cangli County, was arrested and sent to the Changli Brainwashing Center in 2004 for giving out truth-clarification materials. Since she did not give up her belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," the policemen tortured her for over 40 days. Ms. Yang went on a hunger strike to protest the torture, but she was force-fed. Later, Yang Fengying was taken to the Kaiping Labor Camp in Tangshan, where she is still being tortured.
16. [Rong County, Sichuan Province] Practitioners Including Mr. Zhu Ronggui Were Arrested
On April 11, 2005, the police from Xuyan Town in Rong County, Sichuan Province searched Mr. Zhu Ronggui's home. They took away three computers and other truth-clarifying materials and arrested Mr. Zhu and his wife.
On April 12, Mr. Zhu was sent to Rong County Detention Center. His family informed us that the police used electric batons to shock the lower part of Mr. Zhu's body.

17. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] The 610 Office and the National Security Team of the Public Security Bureau Are Still Torturing Practitioners
Mr. Li Renqing was sentenced to one year in a labor camp in 2001. On May 8, 2003, he was sentenced to one and a half years. On January 15, 2005, Mr. Li was arrested and sent to the Shizhushan Detention Center in Leshan City, where he is still being held.
In 2001, Ms. Hu Ruifang was sentenced to two years in a labor camp. On February 1, 2005, she was found to have clarified the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong, so she was arrested and sent to the Shizhushan Detention Center of Leshan City. Ms. Hu is still there today.
