Promotion of the "Nine Commentaries" Should Not Replace Truth Clarification
(Clearwisdom.net) It has been learned from fellow practitioners in China that, currently in some areas of China, practitioners are conducting a massive campaign to distribute flyers on prophecies and withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to the public. Many practitioners have been promoting "The Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party" by using a flyer from the Minghui (Clearwisdom) website that contains information about withdrawing from the CCP and the "Nine Commentaries."
Yes, we should spread the news about the "Nine Commentaries," and do it well. In certain areas, however, only a limited amount of effort is going into making and giving out other truth clarification materials from the Clearwisdom website. I don't think this is appropriate. Isn't this another example of going to extremes? At the present time, there are still practitioners who lag behind in the Fa-rectification process because of their strong attachments to ordinary human society and their unwillingness to let go of their practical material interests. These practitioners should quickly improve their understandings and catch up with the requirements of Fa-rectification. As for practitioners who have merged themselves in the Fa-rectification process, they should reflect upon and ask themselves; are we rational, clear-minded and doing the Fa-rectification tasks properly?
As a matter of fact, Teacher has reminded us in many of his lectures that practitioners should pay attention to the possible problems of irrationality and extremism. We really should pay more attention to such problems. Actually, isn't the tendency of being irrational and extreme also a by-product of the CCP's cultural influence?
Let's review the following excerpt from "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Western U.S. Fa Conference":
Question: When it comes to the materials being used to clarify the truth to people in China on a large scale, some students believe that "cultivation is what you handle, gong is what the master handles," so the selection of content is not that important.
Teacher: Then they've gone to another extreme. In validating the Fa you need to do things rationally. How you make the selections and do things better, that's your validating the Fa and that's your blazing your own path righteously.
Teacher has emphasized many times that practitioners should do the three things well. Our understanding should be that the "Nine Commentaries" can eliminate the evil influences forced upon the people by the CCP, and after such influences are cleared away, people will be more willing to accept our truth clarification materials. Especially when the CCP is already doomed by the will of the gods and its eventual collapse is approaching at an accelerated rate. It is therefore important in this current period to educate people about the "Nine Commentaries" and give them the opportunity to withdraw from the CCP for their own safety.
Exposing the evil nature of the CCP does help us better clarify the truth; however, it should not replace truth clarification itself. If practitioners don't spread the truth about Dafa and the persecution, who will? Under the persecution, the evil forces constantly try to find ways to interfere with our truth clarification work. If we stop clarifying the truth now, wouldn't we be playing into the hands of the old forces?
In "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 International Fa Conference in New York," Teacher says:
"Before long everything will change, but as Dafa disciples, you can't waver in any way before Consummation. You should do what you have to, just as you have been all along. If so much as one thought or idea of yours is extreme, and if you don't consider the consequences, or if you don't think of Dafa's sake, I'll tell you, then you have not walked your path well."
And in "Teaching the Fa at the Conference in Vancouver, Canada, in 2003," Teacher says:
"I'm very much against your immediately getting anxious as soon as you hear Master say something, and once you get anxious you immediately go to extremes and stop doing anything, thinking 'I'll do only Fa-rectification things."
There exists a tendency among some practitioners that, whenever Teacher clarifies certain issues, they immediately stop doing the things that should be done on a regular basis.
Since July 20, 1999, practitioners have done many things to clarify the truth and save sentient beings. When everything that we do is combined, it forms a complete whole and the power of such an integrated part is extremely wonderful. However, there are practitioners who, whenever a new issue emerges, especially when certain changes with the current situation appear, start to focus on the new issues and leave previous tasks unfinished. This is not a good habit; it is an expression of our immature thinking and our underlying irrationality. We have already walked our Fa-rectification path up to the present time; we should be more rational, wise and harmonizing in our thinking. We should do everything well and only then can we walk our Fa-validation path well.
Finally, I'd like to remind practitioners that no matter how busy we get, we should maintain our Fa study. As a matter of fact, the busier we are, the more important it is for us to study the Fa well. Otherwise, it's easy to fall into doing things mechanically.
