(Clearwisdom.Net) After China's former leader Jiang Zemin and the Communist regime launched the official persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999, employees of the Dongguan Police Station and Zhaode Office and Suqiao Village in the Qingzhou District of Shandong Province on several occasions raided the home of young Falun Dafa practitioner Dongdong in Suqiao Village. They searched his home, confiscated property and threatened his family. Dongdong's grandparents, after being threatened and deceived by the propaganda, opposed Falun Dafa. They pressured Dongdong to "persuade" his parents to give up the practice. Because of the pressure of the persecution and also because of an upcoming high school exam, Dongdong had difficulty sleeping.

In February of 2000, Dongdong's mother went to the appeals office in Beijing and was subsequently detained for a month at Qingzhou Detention Center, Shandong Province. She was detained another month by the Suqiao Village Committee. Policemen from Dongguan Police Station tricked Dongdong's father into going to the station to bring food to his wife and he was immediately detained as well. The police also extorted a substantial "fine" from him. Dongdong suddenly had no one to rely on. He had to bear huge mental pressure and discrimination within the community. For a long time he found it difficult to bear and his physical and mental health deteriorated.

In the autumn of 2000, Dongdong became severely ill. His father took him to Beijing's Tiantan Hospital for treatment. Dongguan police had collaborators from Zhaode and Suqiao villages monitor Dongdong's father while in Beijing and restrict his actions. They also prevented Dongdong's mother from going to Beijing to see her son who longed for his mother day and night. Dongdong's physical condition worsened.

Even though Dongdong's condition was critical, the Dongguan Police would not allow Dongdong's mother and his aunt to visit him in the hospital. Expenses for his hospitalization were mounting, however, since the persecution began, Dongdong's father had not been able to earn a living.

In order to continue Dongdong's hospital care, his father asked for the money back that the Dongguan police and Zhaode Office staff had extorted from him, which was over 10,000 yuan. Both units brazenly refused to return the money. Due to the father's persistent requests, they finally returned 3000 yuan to Dongdong's family. Aware of this, students and teachers from Qingzhou No. 2 High School donated 8000 yuan for Dongdong's care. Sadly, Dongdong passed way from his illness, which was caused by the unremitting harassment of the Dongguan Police Station and Zhaode Office. He was only 18 years old.

Propaganda from Communist-controlled television and print media has poisoned people like Dongdong's grandparents. Threatened and deceived by the Dongguan Police Station and Zhaode Office, they sided with the persecutors against their own children and slandered Dafa. They even claimed that Falun Gong caused Dongdong's death. Their statements deceived many people who do not know the truth.

Even after Dongdong's death, the police continued to harass the family. Since October 2001, Qingzhou Police Station has detained Dongdong's father. Dongdong's mother and his 12-year-old sister struggle to get by. Dongguan police and employees of the Zhaode Office have taken every opportunity to steal from Dongdong's family. They stole all the money Dongdong's family had. Dongdong's mother later got their money back, which is all they have left to live on.
