1. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Zhirong on Hunger Strike for Eight Days after Being Arrested by Officials from Weinan 610 Office
Around December 7, 2004, a large number of truth-clarifying leaflets and CDs were distributed in the downtown area of Weinan City. On December 8, while Ms. Li was visiting her relatives there, officials from the Weinan City 610 Office arrested Ms. Li Zhirong without any evidence. Ms. Li was staying at her relatives' home in Weinan. She has been on a hunger strike for eight days to protest the persecution.
2. [Jilin Province] Mr. Wu Yifeng, Department Chair at the Construction Engineering Institute, on Medical Parole from Jilin Prison Due to Torture-Induced Illness
Mr. Wu Yifeng from Changchun City is one of the authoritative experts in highway and bridge construction in Northeast China. He was the department chair and an associate professor in the Road and Bridge Department of the Jilin Province Construction Engineering Institute before the persecution of Falun Gong started.
In the summer of 2003, Zhu Yejing, mayor of Changchun City, visited him while he was detained in a labor camp. He tried to persuade Mr. Wu to give up practicing Falun Dafa in exchange for "restoring his previous position and all compensations." Mr. Wu firmly declined this offer and maintained steadfast his belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Subsequently he was sentenced to nine years in prison.
He was tortured everyday in the Jilin Prison. Later he was transferred to the Siping City Prison. Recently, he suffered from fluid retention of the lungs. After his family filed medical parole for him, he was treated at the Changchun City Tuberculosis Hospital. He now stays at home.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Information on Ms. Feng Haiying's Arrest
Ms. Feng Meiying was arrested on her way to the grocery store in Changchun City on December 11, 2004. Her home was later ransacked. Many of her valuables were confiscated by the police. Ms. Feng is being held at the Chongqing Road Police Station.

4. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Persecution of Mr. Liu Zhijun and His Family in Fulongquan Town
Mr. Liu Zhijun and his father Liu Shaojie are from Fulongquan Town in Nong'an County, Jilin Province. Around 9:00 p.m. on October 30, 2004, they went to Yong'an County to raise public awareness about Falun Dafa and were arrested by police officers led by Yao Yuan, deputy director of the Yong'an Police Station. Mr. Liu Zhijun has been sentenced to one year of forced labor and is being held at the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City. Having extorted 2,000 yuan from his family, the police released Mr. Liu Shaojie after fifteen days of detention.
On November 23, 2004, Cai Qingzhu and four officers headed by Cai Jiang from the Fulongquan Police Station came to Mr. Liu Zhijun's home. They tricked Mr. Liu's wife, Li Xiuhua, and his mother, Wang Xirong, into going to the police station, using the excuse of verifying some documents and detained them. Then they went to Mr. Yu Jingwen's home to arrest him. When Mr. Yu resisted, the officers beat him. They forcibly carried him to the police vehicle. When Yu's family members tried to stop the officers, they, too, were beaten and taken to the police station. After extorting 4,000 yuan from Yu's family, the police released the two family members. Li Xiuhua, Wang Xirong and Yu Jingwen remain in custody at the Nong'an County Detention Center.

5. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Bin and Four Other Practitioners Arrested by Daqing Police
Five Falun Dafa practitioners, including Mr. Zhang Bin, Ms. Shi Jing, Ms. Yang, Ms. Yu and another male practitioner were arrested by the police at Yinlangbo in Daqing City about four days ago.
6. [Yongqing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Zhenguang in Extremely Weak Condition Due to Torture at Kaiping Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Zhang Zhenguang is from Yongqing County, Hebei Province. She was arrested while working in the field on March 12, 2004. As soon as she was taken to the Kaiping Forced Labor Camp, labor camp officer Zhang Jianjun brutally beat her. Ms. Zhang has been on a hunger strike for nine months, and at times she was held in isolation. For months, her hands and feet were chained down to the floor. Ms. Zhang has become emaciated and remains in extremely weak condition. She has been tied to a bed for forced-feeding. Her family has been denied any visits.

7. [Jiangyuan County, Jilin Province] Mr. Jiang Fuda, 70 Years Old, Arrested by Wangou Town Police in Jiangyuan County
On December 7, 2004, 70-year-old Mr. Jiang Fuda was arrested by officers from the Wangou Town Police Station. His home was ransacked and Falun Dafa books were confiscated. When his son and daughter went to the police station asking for his release, they were told that their father would not be released until a Guarantee Statement was written and signed.

8. [Minquan County, Henan Province] Five Practitioners Arrested by Officers from Minquan County Police Department
Mr. Li Xuede and his wife Qin Haiyin, Mr. Li Xueling and his wife Zhang Ruliang, and Ms. Li Fengzhi are practitioners from Shuangta Township in Minquan County, Henan Province. On November 9, 2004, Ms. Zhang Ruliang was driving a three-wheeled agricultural motorcycle and distributing truth-clarifying materials. Officers from the Minquan County Police Department arrested the five practitioners upon receiving reports from informants. The motorcycle was confiscated. Falun Dafa books and other materials were also confiscated after the police ransacked the practitioners' homes. All five practitioners are being held at the Minquan County Prison.
Mr. Li Xuede's mother, in her seventies, is paralyzed and bedridden. Ms. Zhang Ruliang's two children have been left at home unattended. Mr. Li Xueling has been force-fed for going on a hunger strike.
9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Qian Youyun Tortured at Hewan Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Qian Youyun is from the Jiangxia District of Wuhan City, Hubei Province. On January 14, 2004, she was sentenced to eighteen months of forced labor. She was detained at the No. 6 Women's Division of the Hewan Forced Labor Camp. She was deprived of sleep upon arrival at the labor camp, forced to stand up for three days and then hung off the ground while being handcuffed for four days. Three people were assigned to monitor her. Later she was ordered to do strenuous work. Ms. Qian went on a hunger strike to protest the mental and physical abuse. She was force-fed and was charged 30 yuan for each force-feeding. As a result of inhumane treatment, Ms. Qian has suffered headaches, injuries to both her feet and malfunctioning of the intestines. She has suffered excruciating pain.

10. [Chongqing] Mr. Du Hanwen Arrested
Mr. Du Hanwen is about 40 years old. He was forced to leave his home and become homeless to avoid arrest for practicing Falun Gong. On the morning of December 15, 2004, four or five plainclothes police officers got out of an unmarked car and arrested him while he was on the street, near the Shepingqiao area.
11. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Jingchen Arrested
Around 8:00 a.m. on December 11, 2004, Li Fachen and other police officers in Zhucheng City, Shandong Province suddenly broke into Mr. Wang Jingcheng's home in Xujiazhuang Village, Longdu Street. The police arrested Wang and took him to the city's detention center. His family went to the police department demanding his release and told Li Fachen, "Wang recovered from goiter and seven rib fractures as a result of practicing Falun Gong. Now you have arrested him for practicing Falun Gong. If anything happens to him, we're going to hold you responsible."
12. [Zhijiang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Chuanzhen and Numerous Other Practitioners Arrested
Between December 2 and December 4, 2004, Ms. Li Chuanzhen, in her fifties, Ms. He, also in her fifties, Yan Yutao, 32, and many other Falun Dafa practitioners were arrested after informants alerted the police. Among those arrested, Yan Yutao went on a hunger strike and was reported to have managed to escape from police custody. Yan is a practitioner who had previously been tortured to disability while being held at the Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang.
13. [Chuxiong Prefecture, Yunnan Province] Mr. Shi Shaowei Arrested Among Others; Their Homes Ransacked
Mr. Shi Shaowei, his wife Cai Jifen and Fu Dehua from Chuxiong Prefecture, Yunnan Province were arrested without just cause by officials from the Chuxiong City 610 Office on December 5, 2004. Their homes were ransacked. Cai and Fu have since been released, but Mr. Shi has remained in custody and continues to be tortured.

Ms. Wang Ying, of the Cuiling Sales and Management Office in the Wumahe District of Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province was arrested by three officials led by Li Xiaokui, director of the Wumahe District 610 Office, on December 1, 2004.
16. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Two Practitioners from Chengdu City Arrested
Ms. Xiong Yuhua, around 60, of Hongming Electronic Company Ltd., was arrested at her home around 11:00 p.m. on March 12, 2004. Officers from the Chengdu City Police Department, the Jianshe Road Police Station, and the Caotangsi Police Station in Qingyang District participated in the arrest, ransacked her home, and confiscated a personal computer and other items. Ms. Xiong has since remained in custody. Ms. Lai Zuhua, 60, of the same company, was arrested on May 15, 2004 while on an errand. Ms. Lai has since been detained at the Chengdu No. 1 Detention Center.

Mr. Hou Youcong, of the Deyang City No. 2 Heavy Machinery Group Company, has been secretly arrested.
18. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioners Tortured at Duanqinkou Prison; Police Extort Money from Their Families
Mr. Fang Jiansheng, 41, is being held at Division 5 of the Duanqinkou Prison in Hanyang, serving a prison term of four years. As a result of inhumane torture, Mr. Fang has not been able to eat and has had difficulty relieving himself. He was taken to the Hongshan Prison Hospital in Wuhan City for examination and the doctors concluded that he needed be treated in the hospital. The prison authorities took him back and demanded 20,000 yuan from his family in exchange for his medical parole. His family could not come up with that much money. The amount had since been reduced to 10,000 and then 5,000. Since Fang's family could not come up with 5,000 yuan either, he remained in the prison without treatment.
In addition, Mr. Zhou Jianwu has remained in the maximum security division at the Duanqinkou Prison.

19. [Shandong Province] Additional Information on the Arrest of Ms. Chen Xiuying from Yutai County, Shandong Province
Ms. Chen Xiuying is from Yutai County, Shandong Province. She was arrested and taken to the police department by the police while distributing truth-clarifying materials on the evening of December 12, 2004. Wang Weidong, deputy chief of the police department, was in charge of her case. Ma Jiayan, head of the Political Security Division, led other officers to conduct the interrogation over night. When Ms. Chen refused to cooperate, she was held on criminal charges at the Jinshan Township Detention Center in Shandong Province. No one is allowed to visit her.
20. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Information on Ms. Zhang Aihong and Ms. Ge Weizhen
Ms. Zhang Aihong from the Xiaguan District of Nanjing City was sentenced to two years of forced labor. She was missing after leaving the forced labor camp. She doesn't have any relatives in Nanjing and fellow practitioners have not been able to locate her for quite some time. Later it was learned that she had been unlawfully held in a basement in Wusuocun Street for over a year.
Ms. Ge Weizhen is from the Xiaguan District of Nanjing City. She was forcibly taken into custody ten days ago. Her home was ransacked and her whereabouts are unknown.
21. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Dong Limei Arrested
Around December 1, 2004, Ms. Dong Limei was arrested at her home at the Yinhe Residential Complex in Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province.
22. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Police Arrest Ms. Na Yafang and Ms. Wang Shurong from Lequn Township
On December 8, 2004, Huang Zhongyu, a logistics official from the Lequn Township Police Station in Shuangcheng City, and Fan Renman, an officer from the same police station, forcibly took Ms. Na Yafang and Ms. Wang Shurong into a police vehicle. Ms. Na was slapped on the face several times for refusing to get into the vehicle. They were first taken to the police station. Ms. Na was handcuffed for clarifying the truth to the police on her way there. They were sent to the Shuangcheng City Detention Center the same afternoon. The police told them that they would be detained for three days. However, the two practitioners have remained in custody ever since.

23. [Fuyu County, Jilin Province] Ms. Ma Hua from Taolaizhao Town Arrested
Ms. Ma Hua is from Taolaizhao Town in Fuyu County, Jilin Province. Two police officers from the local police station knocked on her door on December 10, 2004. She did not open the door. The officers made some phone calls and a group of people eventually showed up. Around 10:00 o'clock they smashed the windows and broke in and Ms. Ma was taken into custody. She is being held at the Fuyu County Detention Center.
24. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yu Suijun and Yu Like Arrested by Tianhe District Police
At 10:00 p.m. on December 14, 2004, Ms. Yu Suijun and Yu Like were arrested by several officers from the local police station while clarifying the truth at Qianjin Village in the Tianhe District of Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. Their whereabouts remain unknown.
