1. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Changyi Police Arrest Several Falun Dafa Practitioners
At 11:00 a.m. on December 21, 2004, police officer Chen Xiaodong from Weifang Changyi City, Shandong Province arrested Ms. Wei Peixiu, who is 67 years old, and Mr. Zhang Chunbo from Liu Town's Huayu Silk Fabrics Plant, and sent them to the Changyi City Detention Center. Since then, many practitioners have been arrested and illegally detained.

2. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Practitioners Mr. Tang Zhiheng, Mr. Lin Yanguang, and Mr. Huang Songtian are Arrested
Dafa practitioners, Mr. Tang Zhiheng, Mr. Huang Songtian, and Mr. Lin Yanguang are business partners who run a leather furniture business at a market near the Guangzhou Train Station. On the morning of December 30, 2004, the Guangzhou City Police arrested Mr. Tang and Mr. Huang. Some time later, the police searched Mr. Lin's house and also arrested him. The next day, at least ten policemen forced Mr. Huang to stand at the front door of the police station so they could take a picture of him while he was still handcuffed.
The material production site established by these three practitioners had been operating for a long time. It may be possible that the police followed them, which may have led to their arrest.
3. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners are Detained and Sentenced
The Yingkou City Public Security Bureau and the Jianfeng Police Station arrested Mr. Yan Bo and husband and wife, Mr. Qu Yongsheng and Ms. Chen Liyan of Yingkou City, Liaoning Province. After being detained for more than a month at the Yingkou City Detention Center, Mr. Yan and Mr. Qu were sentenced to three years of forced labor. Currently, they are detained at the Benxi Forced Brainwashing Center. The center is tightly controlled, family members are not allowed to visit and news about the detained practitioners is difficult to obtain. It has been reported that both men have been on a hunger strike for many days. Ms. Chen Liyan is still detained at the Yingkou City Detention Center while waiting to be sentenced.
Many Dafa materials, equipment, cellular phones, cash and other materials were confiscated from Mr. Qu and Ms. Chen's home. The police have not provided family members with a list of the materials they confiscated. Mr. Yan Bo was arrested simply because he was on his way to Mr. Qu and Ms. Chen's house.

4. [Ningming County, Guangxi Province] Practitioners Ms. Tan Cai-e and Ms. Lu Xunping are Arrested Again
Ms. Tan used to be a medical doctor at Ningming County's Epidemic Prevention Station. After she started to practice Falun Dafa, many from the community praised her for her positive and diligent work ethic. In 2001, Ms. Tan was sentenced to the Guangxi Women's Forced Labor Camp because she went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong. At the labor camp she was firm in her belief and did not succumb to "transformation." Therefore, she was forced to do extra labor, limited to only several hours of sleep each night and tortured by the drug addict inmates.
She was only released after she served six months beyond her original sentence. Ms. Tan's work unit then fired her from her job.
Ms. Lu was a medical doctor at Ningming County's Traditional Chinese Medical Center. In early 1999, she was involved in a severe car accident that seriously damaged her head, with many fractures. Normally, she would have died from such an accident. Ms. Lu, however, miraculously survived without any trace of harm. She said that it was because she practiced Falun Dafa. It gave her a second life.
In 2001, Ms. Lu was sent to a forced labor camp for appealing in Beijing. At the labor camp, she used the opportunity to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to the camp's medical doctors with her own case. All the doctors at the camp agreed that what happened to her was a miracle.
After she was released from the labor camp in 2003, Ms. Lu opened a medical consulting clinic with Ms. Tan. They were able to tell their patients the facts about Falun Gong.
The arrest of these two practitioners caused quite a stir in the local area.
5. [Chongqing City, Sichuan Province] The Police Arrested Practitioner Mr. Wang Qi and His Whereabouts are Unknown
Mr. Wang Qi, a resident of Apricot Garden near the Sixth Court, Nanping Section Four in Chongqing City, was detained at the city's Xishanping Forced Labor Camp. He was recently released. On January 7, 2005, around 7:00 a.m., the police arrested Mr. Wang again after they broke into his house. Currently, his whereabouts are unknown.
