Mr. Zhang Bin, from Longfeng district of Daqing city, has been on hunger strike to protest the persecution since he was arrested on December 11, 2004. He has become very weak since being tortured by the police.
2. [Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Ying from Shenyang Arrested
Ms. Li Ying, a teacher of Shenyang Normal University Higher Professional Technology Institute, was reported by a resident and arrested by the police when she distributed the truth-clarifying materials in Huaihe Section on January 14, 2005. Her whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Juancheng, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Xiuping Arrested Again
On January 27, 2005, the police from the Political Security Department in Juancheng, Shandong Province went to a Dafa practitioner's house in Fenghuang Township. They found no one at home, and then climbed over the wall and forcibly broke into each room to search. They didn't find anyone, so they went to another village to search for Dafa practitioners. During this period, Mr. Li Xiuping was arrested and detained in the County Detention Center. This is the third time he has been arrested.

4. [Sichuan Province] Xu Hongyu Sentenced to Forced Labor for Three Years
Mr. Xu Hongyu, a businessman in Meishan City, Sichuan Province, was sentenced to three years in a labor camp and sent to Xinhua Forced Labor Camp in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province on January 18, 2005.
On November 18, 2004, Xu Hongyu was arrested and detained in Dongpo District Detention Center, where he suffered physical and mental torture. Xu Hongyu went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution and he became very weak. During his detention, Xu Hongyu's family members were not allowed to visit him until he was sent to the hospital. Since his family met with him at that time, there has not been any new information about Xu Hongyu.
Recently, it was reported that Xu Hongyu has been sentenced to a forced labor camp for 3 years by the Meishan city police department without informing his family.

5. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Pei Xiuying Abducted from Her Home by the Police
On January 26, 2005, a group of police broke into Ms. Pei Xiuying's home in Taiyuan City and abducted her. Her whereabouts are unknown.
6. [Hebei Province] Qinglong County Officials Persecute Wang Yanwen
Ms. Wang Yanwen is a resident of Anzigou village in Qinglong County, Hebei Province. On July 20, 1999, when the Jiang regime started the widespread persecution of Falun Gong, Wang Yanwen and other practitioners traveled many miles to the County Appeal Bureau to appeal for Falun Gong. When they were half way there, they were intercepted by Mutoucheng Township Government and Police Station authorities and detained in Mutoucheng Township Police Station for 24 hours. They were released after being fined 100 yuan each.
On September 9,1999, when Wang Yanwen and several people were studying the Fa outside, the police from Mutoucheng Police Station snatched away their Dafa books, and the 980 yuan inside Wang Yanwen's bag were stolen by Chen Xiaohu and a driver named Yang.
In November 2000, when Wang Yanwen went to Beijing to appeal, she was taken back by Mutoucheng Township 610 Office personnel and sent to Qinglong Detention Center. In the detention center she went on a hunger strike to protest her illegal detention. Later on Wang Yanwen's family was afraid and gave in to the pressure to pay 3000 yuan to the Mutoucheng Township Police Station in order to take back Wang Yanwen.
7. [Pingjiang County, Hunan Province] Jinchuan Township 610 Office Extort Money from Li Jiaosheng and Elderly Practitioners
On December 31, 2004, Zhua Guanxi, Li Zhanliang, Li Shuanglong, and others from the Jinchuan Township 610 Office broke into Dafa practitioners' homes to conduct a search without showing any documentation. They confiscated 5 tape players and forcibly took Mr. Li Jiaosheng, Mr. Li Jiangbei, Mr. Hu Gaifei and Mr. Zhou Fuyu to the 610 Office and extorted 1300 yuan from them.
8. [Hebei Province] Police from Chengde City Arrest and Extort Money from Zheng Qinling
At around 2:00 p.m. on November 3, 2004, Ms. Zheng Qinling, from Chengde City, Hebei Province, was going to the supermarket to do some shopping. When she had just stepped out of the gate, she was abducted by police chief Jiang Xueyong and officer Ma Haidong from the National Security Team in Luanping County, Chengde City. She was sent to the office of the County National Security Team and interrogated for 4 hours. Afterwards, without any legal documentation, she was sent to Luanping County Detention Center and detained for 15 days. During this period, Jiang Xueyong and Ma Hadong said, "If her family brought 5000 yuan, Zhen Qinling could be released." Having heard this news, and in order to help their mother avoid persecution, Zheng Qinling's two daughters scraped together 5000 yuan and gave the money to Jiang Xueyong. However, Jiang Xueyong did not issue any receipt. In addition, the two sisters spent hundreds of yuan to treat Jiang Xueyong, Ma Haidong, and others to dinner. Ten days later, when she was near death, Zheng Qinling was released.
9. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Yan Jingqiu Arrested
On the morning of January 28, 2005, practitioner Ms. Yan Jingqiu from Qingdao City, about 40 years old, was arrested by the police when she was tearing down banners that slandered Falun Dafa. At noon that same day, her home was ransacked.
At present Yan Jingqiu is detained in Yananlu Police Station. It is said that she will be sent to Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao City.
10. [Yutai County, Shandong province] Li Yanli Sentenced to Forced Labor for Two Years
Ms. Li Yanli from Yutai County, due to her belief in Falun Gong, was sent to a labor camp by Yutai County Public Security department in 2001 and released in 2003. Because she refused to renounce her belief and continued to clarify the truth to people, she was arrested again in December 2004. She was detained in Jinxiang County Detention Center, Shandong Province, and her relatives are caring for her two children.
On January 27, 2005, Li Yanli was sentenced to a forced labor camp for two years. While she was being sent to Jinan Women's Forced Labor camp, her blood pressure increased dramatically and she was in critical condition. Even in this situation, she was still sent to the forced labor camp for persecution.

11. [Heilongjiang Province] Zhao Chunling, Wang Yinghua and Liu Yingdi from Jiamusi Arrested
Ms. Zhao Chunling, Ms, Wang Yinghua and Liu Yingdi from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province were reported and arrested by the police Chen Wanyou and others from the National Security Team when they were posting information about the persecution on the walls of City Public Security Bureau on January 6.
12. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Experiences of Pei Xiaoxia's Family
Ms. Pei Xiaoxia's family from Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province was arrested by police from Yangming District on October 22, 2003. Her husband, Mr. Wang Mingzhu, left the police station with righteous thoughts. Wang Mingzhu and his younger sister Wang Mingyan were forced to leave home and became homeless to avoid arrest. Pei Xiaoxia was sentenced to 5 years and detained in the Heilongjiang Women's Prison.
Wang Mingzhu and Wang Mingyan were arrested again at the end of October 2004 and detained at Xinglong Detention Center in Mudanjiang City.
