(Clearwisdom.net) On December 7, Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao arrived in Prague for a 2-day visit. On Thursday, practitioners started a 24-hour appeal outside the Chinese embassy, calling for actions to end the persecution of Falun Gong. They hope that the public will pay closer attention to the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong during Wen's visit.
"They want to call on Wen Jiabao to help end the persecution of Falun
Gong practitioners. The Czech Falun Gong Association has also asked Czech
politicians
not to forget the abuse of human rights in their talks with Wen Jiabao,"
the Prague Daily Monitor reported on December 6.
The Czech Falun Gong association stated on Tuesday: "In the inhuman campaign, over 2780 Falun Gong practitioners have been beaten or tortured to death, while Chinese sources say that the figure may be nine times higher. Tens of thousands of men, women, and children are being imprisoned in labor camps, where they are daily tortured and humiliated."
During Hu's visit to Czech, Amnesty International and Olympic Watch also called on people to pay attention to the ongoing human rights violations in China.
