Honorable Ambassador:
We, as Falun Gong practitioners, write this letter just wanting to express our disappointment for the conduct and attitude of the Thai police toward those Falun Gong practitioners in Bangkok, Thailand. On December the 15th five adults and three children were arrested and placed in detention when outside the Chinese Embassy in Thailand they protested against an incident in China in which a policeman tortured and raped two Falun Gong practitioners. According to the Thai police, the Chinese Embassy called them and requested them to remove the meditating Falun Gong practitioners. Those who were arrested were among a group of people who had been conducting a peaceful protest in previous days. At present, all those detained Falun Gong practitioners are on hunger strike and in a difficult situation. However, the Thai police said that they wouldn't release them until a third country takes them in. Many Thai police have noted that they are sympathetic with Falun Gong, but they had orders from higher up to make the arrests due to the pressure coming from the Chinese communist party.
Falun Gong, also called Falun Dafa, is an ancient traditional practice based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. By practicing Falun Gong one can cultivate or nurture one's nature, resulting in better health and improved moral quality. Falun Gong has been promulgated worldwide and is currently practiced in over seventy countries. However, history has shown that the communist regime never allowed people to think independently and believe in anything other than communism. The Chinese communist regime exerts violent and systematic persecution of Falun Gong both inside China and outside China. According to incomplete statistics, within the past six years beginning on July 20th 1999, more than 2,791 Falun Gong practitioners have been verified as being tortured to death all over China. The incident that happened in Bangkok has vividly demonstrated how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) extends the persecution towards Falun Gong practitioners beyond China, and doesn't let international borders stop it from trying to deny the rights of Falun Gong practitioners anywhere.
Thailand is a democratic country, and also is a country which is proud to defend human rights. However it is totally incomprehensible that the attack of the Thai police towards a peaceful group of Falun Gong practitioners happened in Thailand. Also, the police in Thailand kowtowed to the Chinese Communist Party and abandoned their principles allured by business interest offered by the Chinese Communist Party. This incident violates the human rights of Falun Gong practitioners, and also breaks the nation's own laws.
However, the Chinese communist regime can't sustain its persecution towards Falun Gong; it can't sustain its tyranny any more. Gradually, the international community and ordinary people have realized the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party. More than six million brave withdrawals from the CCP inside China have strongly weakened the terror created by the CCP through over fifty years' violence and slaughter.
Under these circumstances, those persons who still directly or indirectly help the Chinese communist party to persecute Falun Gong will be faced with severe punishment from justice and law no matter who they are and where they are. Nearly thirty high-level CCP officials who take part in persecuting Falun Gong in mainland China have been brought to justice in various countries outside China, just as Jiang Zemin is being sued for 'Genocide and Torture' against Falun Gong.
At the same time, we also hope the Thai government can continually insist on their position to respect human rights, and not succumb to the despotic power of the CCP. The CCP is soon going to disintegrate. Be sure not to be compliant with the CCP, but rather, choose a bright future for your own country.
We hope the Honorable Ambassador can help us convey our message to the Thai government, and also help those detained Falun Gong practitioners regain their freedom of belief in Thailand.
