1. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Tao on a Hunger Strike to Protest Illegal Torture in a Prison in Harbin City

Practitioners Ms. Wang Tao, 28, and Mr. Dong Jingang, 29, were illegally arrested as they were distributing Falun Dafa truth-clarification materials at Nenjiang Farm in Nenjiang County, Heilongjiang Province, on December 1, 2001. In January 2002, Ms. Wang and Mr. Dong's family each paid 6000 yuan to bail them out of the prison. In March 2002, the two practitioners were again arrested by Nenjiang Farm Police Department officers and again illegally put into prison. Ms. Wang Tao and Mr. Dong Jingang managed to leave the prison and escaped to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to avoid being arrested. In May 2002, officers from the Nenjiang County Police Department arrested them in Dayangshu Town, Inner-Mongolia Autonomous Region. In June 2005, Ms. Wang Tao was illegally sentenced to nine years of imprisonment while Mr. Dong Jingang was sentenced to 14 years. She was sent to the Women's Prison of Harbin City and he to the Prison of Beian City, where they remain today. Ms. Wang Tao is on a hunger strike to protest the illegal torture in the Second Group of the No. 1 Prison District of the Women's Prison of Harbin City.

2. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Huiqiang and Others Tortured in the No. 3 Prison of the Dabei District Prisons of Shenyang City

Practitioner Mr. Zhang Huiqiang, 39 years old, worked as a senior engineer at the Meter Workshop of the Ethylene Chemical Plant of Fushun City. On May 14, 2005, Mr. Zhang was arrested by officers from the No. 1 Office of the Police Department of Fushun City and was brutally tortured. Later Mr. Zhang was illegally and secretly sentenced to five years of imprisonment. In November 2002, Mr. Zhang was sent to the Third Prison of the Dabei District Prisons in Shenyang City. He was forced to perform a heavy workload for 14 hours every day, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., before he was allowed to have dinner. In November 2004, he was taken to the Second Prison District of the No. 1 Prison of the Prison Town in Shenyang City. Because Falun Dafa practitioners there protested the persecution and requested a reduction in their working hours, the work time was reduced to twelve hours a day, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

On November 10, 2005, when a practitioner was beaten by the prison guards to the point of suffering gastric perforation just because the practitioner did the Falun Dafa exercises, Mr. Zhang Huiqiang and five to six other practitioners went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. The police have been suppressing the news.

3. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhu Yuezhen, 74, Secretly Arrested by Police Officers

Practitioner Ms. Zhu Yuezhen, 74 years old, from Jinan City in Shandong Province, was secretly arrested by police officers on the street on December 1, 2005, and now is being held in Jinan City Detention Center.

4. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Huanmei and Ms. Shao Xiying Arrested

On the morning of December 3, 2005, police officers from Jinling Town Police Station of Zhaoyuan City in Shandoing Province and from Jinling Town Government arrested practitioners Ms. Liu Huanmei and Ms. Shao Xiying. Both practitioners were taken to the brainwashing center to be tortured.

5. [Shanghai City] Mr. Fan Youli Arrested

Practitioner Mr. Fan Youli from the Pudong District of Shanghai City, 66 years old, was reported to the police when he was copying truth-clarification materials in a printing shop on December 2, 2005. He was arrested and brought to Luoshan District Police Station. Now Mr. Fan is being illegally held in Zhangjiang District Detention Center.

6. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yuan Xiqing and Ms. Ding Shuqiang Arrested at Home

Practitioner Ms. Yuan Xiqing from Songjia Village of Zhangxing Town was arrested at home on November 29, 2005. Practitioner Ms. Ding Shuqiang from Wujia Village of Jinling Town was arrested at home on November 23, 2005. Both practitioners were taken to the brainwashing center to be tortured.

7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Xiaoping from Changyi City Illegally Held in a Changyi City Detention Center

Practitioner Ms. Gao Xiaoping worked in the Birth Planning Station of Qingxiang Town of Weifang City. In 2000, Ms. Gao was forced to leave home to avoid being arrested. Recently, Ms. Gao was arrested in Beijing and was taken to a Changyi City detention center on December 3, 2005.

8. [Jiaozuo City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Shuting and Ms. Wei Congling Arrested

On October 25, 2005, practitioners Ms. Li Shuting and Ms. Wei Congling from Henan Province were reported by the local people to the police on their way to Mt. Huang in Anhui Province. The police arrested them. On November 8, 2005, both practitioners were taken to Jiaozuo City Detention Center by the Chief of the State Security Division of the Jiefang Police Department of Jiaozuo City. Ms. Li Shuting was sentenced to forced labor for one and a half years. Ms. Wei Congling was illegally sentenced to forced labor.

On October 26, 2005, practitioners Ms. Liu Ying, Ms. Liu Li, and Ms. Han Dongxue were distributing truth-clarification materials in Songshan Town. The chief of the Songshan Town Police Station, Wang Yanli (male), led other police officers to arrest the practitioners and ransack their homes. On October 27, 2005, the chief of the Heishi Town Police Station Fu Qiang (male) and the police officers led by him arrested practitioner Mr. Liu Xiaocheng, who was helping someone to fix a motorcycle. They also ransacked Mr. Liu's home. All four practitioners are being held in the Panshi City Detention Center.

Male police officers Lu Shikang and Nong Youqing, both from the police department affiliated with the Pingguo County Aluminum Company of the Police Department of Baise City, led male police officers Wei Zhihong, Bi Yonggang, and others to illegally arrest practitioners Mr. Lan Hongping, Ms. Huang Ying, Mr. Nong Youyue and several other practitioners from the Pingguo County Aluminum Company. So far, they have held these practitioners in the Pingguo County Detention Center for 11 months. They not only continue to detain the practitioners, but also have transferred them to the Pingguo County Court and are attempting to sentence them through the Pingguo County Court of Baise City.
