(Clearwisdom.net) (Minghui correspondent Wang Ying reports from San Francisco) On November 5, 2005, the grand San Francisco Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference was held in the Smithwick Theater at Foothill College in the San Francisco Bay Area. Around seven hundred practitioners from the western U.S. and Canada participated in the grand conference. At 10:20 a.m., our great compassionate Master Li arrived and loud applause filled the hall. Master Li gave a lecture and answered questions for more than three hours.
Master said in the lecture that Dafa disciples have become more and more mature. It is different now from before. The people of the world have a better attitude toward Dafa practitioners and know more about the truth of the slander spread by the Chinese Communist Party media. In this better environment, it is easy for one to slack off. The test will be more solemn and the requirement of the cultivation realm will never change.
Master pointed out that Dafa practitioners' cultivation is in the ordinary human world. In everyday society, Dafa practitioners are not affected by everyday society but change everyday people. If one's everyday notions are stronger, he will move towards being human. If one's righteous thoughts are stronger, he will move toward being a god. A Dafa practitioner can change his environment and change everyday people as long as he does so righteously.
Master also said that the purpose of truth-clarification is to save more sentient beings. In truth-clarification, if higher level principles are mentioned, you do not save sentient beings but push them down. One cannot tell high-level principles in truth-clarification. It is not just a matter of talking high or low. Whether you can control things well determines whether you're saving sentient beings or destroying them.
Master at last encouraged everyone to do better and be more diligent. Master said, "Have a bigger change when I see you next time."
Thirteen Chinese and western practitioners shared their experiences onstage. They talked about studying the Fa well, improving Xinxing, clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings in doing the three things well.
Ms. Yang from Seattle recounted her experience of calling and faxing people in China to clarify the truth steadily over the past three years. She realized that if one has the righteous thought to save people and acts righteously with perseverance - calling one by one, one moves forward on the path of Fa-rectification and becomes mature on the path.

Ms. Gao from South California is about 70 years old. She recounted that she and her husband overcame the language barrier by learning English and started to clarify the truth to western people with simple English. Several people were moved to tears. Through self-paced study, they can explain the facts to save people in simple English, Japanese, Spanish, Cantonese, and the Shanghai and Fuzhou dialects.
Several practitioner coordinators shared their experiences in letting go of the notions of self; getting rid of the attachment to fame, gain, and self-validation; and looking inward in coordination. Through coordinating things, one practitioner realized with deep feeling, "I have learned how to be responsible to the project and to practitioners. I have less attachment than in the past to validate myself in doing project work, and am more considerate of other practitioners. When I ask other practitioners to work on a project, I will consider if the project is suitable for the practitioner, can help him participate in Dafa projects, and is beneficial to the long-term development of the practitioner and the project. I don't push for short-term results too soon. I have also learned how to have a practitioner display their initiative and special skill and assist others but not be a manager.

At the conclusion of the conference, practitioners emphasized the importance of truth-clarification with best use of time.
