Ms. Dong sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, and Mr. Yan to a brainwashing center in Luotaishanzhuang in Fushun City. They are in an extremely dangerous situation. Ms. Dong Jingya has been on a hunger strike for more than six months. She is being force-fed repeatedly.
The details of Ms. Dong Jingya and Mr. Yan Hongwei's circumstances follow.
Ms. Dong Jingya, 33 years old, is a practitioner from the Heping District of Shenyang City. She was engaged in architectural design work at the Liaoning Province Construction Design Institute. In 1997, she started to practice Falun Gong and benefited a great deal, both in body and mind. She worked diligently and was dedicated to her profession. After the persecution of Falun Gong began, Ms. Dong was forced to remain homeless for four years to avoid persecution.
On March 6, 2005, she was arrested by the Shenyang Municipal National Security Team and was imprisoned illegally in the Masanjia 2nd Women's Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Dong went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. She developed such symptoms as "reverse-flow" stomach, blurry vision, kidney failure, and a shortage of blood in her cardiac muscle. When she turned off a tape recorder that was slandering Falun Gong, in July 2005 Masanjia guards handcuffed her to a metal railing at the end of a bed. She has been on a huger strike for more than six months in the First Division of Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. She has not been allowed to see anyone and is being continually force-fed. On October 13, someone who was concerned about her called the labor camp (Tel: 86-24-89210406) asking to visit her. A police guard said, "No one is allowed to see her. She refuses to wear the prison uniform and she still shouts ['Falun Dafa is good'] and does the exercises."
Mr. Yan Hongwei, 35 years old, is a practitioner from the Dadong District of Shenyang City. He worked at the Huachenjinbei Passenger Car Company in Shenyang City. After he started to practice Falun Dafa, he benefited greatly both in body and mind. Because he is not only upright and kind but also works diligently, he is generally acknowledged to be a good man by his colleagues and neighbors. At the end of 2000, Mr. Yan was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp. He suffered severe torture and psychological abuse when he was imprisoned at Shenyang City's Zhangshi Forced Labor Camp. Furthermore, he was illegally detained beyond his prison term.
His company manager sent Mr. Yan Hongwei to a brainwashing center in Luotaishanzhuang in Fushun City on September 20, 2005, after he finished work. He continues to be persecuted. He has been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Someone who was concerned about him called the brainwashing class asking about his conditions on October 28. Officer Wu Wei said, "If he will not be "transformed," it is hard to determine when he will go home."
