Sentenced to One of Year of Forced Labor
1. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Fengqin Tortured to the Brink of Death While in Police Custody
On October 11, 2005, practitioner Ms. Li Fengqin (over 50 years old) was arrested by the Yushu City National Security Team. At the arrest site, policemen Chai Wenge and Qi Li kicked her so hard that she could not stand up. Policeman Zhang Deqin forcibly carried her and threw her into the police car. Ms. Li was detained and tortured in a detention center for ten days. Li Fengqin felt pain in her chest and back and was so weak that somebody had to carry her to the interrogation. The detention center refused to release her until she was tortured to the brink of death. Currently, Li Fengqin is in a coma at Changchun City Hospital.
2. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wan Hongxia Lost the Ability to Take Care of Herself Due to Persecution
Ms. Wan Hongxia was an employee of the former Xianfeng Machine Shop at Longfang City, Hebei Province. On June 17, 2005, she was sentenced to three years in prison for posting Falun Gong truth clarifying materials. During three years in prison, she suffered from various tortures and brainwashing attempts. Before she started practicing Falun Gong, Ms. Wan had symptoms of paralysis from a brain tumor and was cured after practicing Falun Gong. Yet the brutal persecution caused her illness to recur and she lost the basic abilities to take care her daily life. A source stated that some officials in the government did not want Ms. Wan to be released on bail for medical treatment. It is said that the officials planned to send Wan Hongxia to a prison at the end of October.

3. [Lingyuan, Liaoning Province] Practitioners Ms. Li Shulian and Li Jun Arrested
Police officers from the Yangzhangzhi Police Station took away practitioners Li Shulian and Li Jun from Xiangdong, Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province. The two practitioners are currently detained at Lingyuan City Second Detention Center.
4. [Lingyuan, Liaoning Province] Lingyuan City Court Sentenced Practitioners Ms. Wen Xiuzhi and Ms. Li Shuxian to Four Years in Prison
The Lingyuan City Court sentenced practitioners Ms. Wen Xiuzhi, 68, and Ms. Li Shuxian to four years in prison. On October 13, 2005, the two practitioners, who had been detained for over four months at Lingyuan City Public Security Bureau, were sent to Dabei Prison.
5. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Ai Xinghe Sent to Langfeng Brainwashing Center
At around 11:00 a.m. on October 27, 2005, officials from the Juyang Town government and the Juyang Police Station came to Xianggong Village of Juyang Town. They forcibly took away practitioner Ms. Ai Xinghe and sent her to the Langfeng Brainwashing Center.

6. [Changzhi, Shanxi Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced to Four Years of Forced Labor
On August 12, 2005, police from Qing County in the Changzhi area of Shanxi Province illegally arrested four practitioners. The homes of practitioners Wang Xuelian, Wang Xiaoying, Li Fengying, and Chen Xiupin were also ransacked. On September 6, the practitioners were transferred to Taiyuan Forced Labor Camp in Shanxi Province, with each of them receiving a term of four years. The main persecutors are Wei Jinpin and Wei Ruqi.
7. [Longchang County, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Ye Jianguo Detained for More Than Five Months
Practitioner Ye Jianguo is from Longchang County in Sichuan Province. With shackles on his feet and his wrists handcuffed, Ye Jianguo has been detained for more than five months.
8. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Gao Huanying Arrested While Delivering the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party
On the morning of August 20, 2005, practitioner Ms. Gao Huanying from Tianhe District of Guangzhou City was arrested while delivering materials including the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party at Jinan University. She was detained at the Tianhe City Detention Center for more than two months. It was not until recently that her family received notice of her detention and whereabouts. The police are collecting evidence to build a case against her and are looking for the source of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.
9. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wu Biyun Subjected to Brainwashing for Several Months
Ms. Wu Biyun worked for the residency register at Changsheng Resident Committee at Longfeng Street, Haizhu District in Guangzhou City. Because she practiced Falun Gong and talked about Falun Gong to the public, she was sent to a brainwashing center. Later, Ms. Wu was secretly sentenced for two years of forced labor. Upon finishing her prison term, she was then transferred to a brainwashing center on the ninth floor of the "Mrs. He Guirong Welfare Home" in Guangdong, in the Haizhu District of Guangzhou City. After being released, Wu Biyun continued to practice Falun Gong. People from the resident committee harassed her by going to her home or calling her. On September 6, 2005, persecutors from the neighborhood resident committee, the Public Security Bureau of Haizhu District in Guangzhou City, and guards from her living complex waited for Ms. Wu at the gate of her living complex, and arrested her. Her home was also ransacked. The police charged Ms. Wu with "destroying the social order" and detained her for fifteen days. Later, Wu Biyun was transferred to a brainwashing center at Chatou Law Education School, located at #56 Xizhou North Road, in Guangzhou City.
Wu Biyun's husband, who is a policeman, was forced under pressure from his work unit to divorce his wife while she was detained in the forced labor camp.
10. [Beihai, Guangxi Province] Ms. Lin Xiufang Arrested and Her Home Ransacked
Practitioner Ms. Lin Xiufang is an employee of Beihai Oil Company. On October 17, 2005, the police abducted her from her work place. The police, along with the work unit's leaders Liao Youxiong and Li Jiaqi, broke into and ransacked Ms. Liu's home.

11. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Lu Qiqi and Qian Youyun Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor
Dafa practitioner Mr. Lu Qiqi from Wuhan City, Hubei Province was sentenced to one year of forced labor. On October 25, 2005, he was detained in the 2nd Team of Hewan Forced Labor Camp in Wuhan City.
In March 2004, the National Security Team of Hubei Province secretly arrested Lu Qiqi and detained him at the Shayang Brainwashing Center in Hubei Province. During the four and a half months of detention, Lu Qiqi was subjected to various mental and physical tortures, including sleep deprivation.
In July 2004, Lu Qiqi was then transferred to Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center in the Jiang'an District of Wuhan City. At the beginning, the head of the brainwashing center, Li Yingjie, used various excuses to stop Mr. Lu's family members from visiting him. In addition, from March 2004 to October 25, 2005, the brainwashing center did not give the family a single word about the reason for his arrest and detention in either a written document or oral format. Currently, Lu Qiqi's family is appealing to the authorities to re-process Mr. Lu's case.
Wuhan City practitioner Qian Youyun was sentenced to one year of forced labor. After his term was completed, he was directly sent to Tangxunhu Brainwashing Center of Hubei Province. Because Mr. Qian did not yield to the persecution, the perpetrators sent him to Yangyuan Brainwashing Center in Wuchang City for further persecution.
12. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Tan Yahong Sent to Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Tan Yahong is a practitioner from Zhoudingtun, Xuanhua District of Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. In 2004, she was sent to Shalingzi Brainwashing Center and was then transferred to the second brigade of the women's team at Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp of Hebei Province.

13. [Tianjin] Liu Jiguo Arrested For Posting "Falun Dafa is Good" in Public
At around 8:00 p.m. on October 24, 2005, practitioner Liu Jiguo from Houxiang was posting "Falun Dafa is Good" in public when he was arrested. At around 9:00 p.m., the Yang Village National Security Team led about six people to jump over the fence of Mr. Liu's home to break in. They ransacked his home, but did not find the Falun Gong materials that they were searching for. At around 3:00 p.m. on October 25, Liu Jiguo was sent to Wuqing Public Security Bureau Branch.
14. [Antu County, Jilin Province] Zhang Hongfeng Arrested While Distributing Truth Clarification Materials
Practitioner Zhang Hongfeng is from Yongqing Village, Antu County in Jilin Province. On October 28, 2005, Zhang Hongfeng was arrested while distributing truth clarification materials at Wanbao Town, Antu County. Zhang is currently detained at the Antu Detention Center.
15. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Gu Xuemin Detained at Zhoukou City Detention Center
Ms. Gu Xuemin is a retired worker from Zhoukou City Foreign Trading Bureau in Henan Province. Because she practiced Falun Gong, she was monitored by the authorities. On October 24, 2005 while Ms. Gu was visiting her sister, the police arrested her at her sister's home, and sent her to the Zhoukou City Detention Center.
16. [Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Mao Chun and Two Other Practitioners Heavily Sentenced for Distributing Falun Gong Truth Clarification Materials and the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party
Hangzhou City practitioner Mr. Mao Chun, 31, is a university graduate. Mr. Yu Wenkui is 40 years old with a college degree. Practitioner Li Jinbiao is around 36 years old with a middle school diploma. Sometime between May and July 2005, the three were arrested for distributing Falun Gong truth clarification materials and the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. On October 25, 2005, the Xiacheng District Court of Hangzhou City heavily sentenced them. Yu Weikiu received a nine-year sentence, Mao Chun eight years, and Li Jinbiao received a three-year sentence.

17. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Police From Taisheng South Street Police Station Arrest Li Suhua
Practitioner Ms. Li Suhua, 64, is from Chengdu City. She and her family live on the second floor of the 1st Building at Mazhen Street, #21, Chengdu City. At around noon on October 11, 2005, the police from Taisheng South Street Police Station suspected Ms. Li of distributing truth clarification materials and illegally arrested her.
18. [Xingning City, Guangdong Province] The Xie Huanhong Couple Arrested
At around 10:00 a.m. on October 24, 2005, the police from Xingning City National Security Team arrested the Xie Huanhong couple from the cell phone store which they owned. The couple is currently detained at Xingning Detention Center. The police also confiscated their computer, CD burner and other property.
