Facts of the Persecution

1. Cases of Falun Dafa Practitioners being Tortured in Heizuizi Women's Labor Camp in Changchun City, Jilin Province

On November 28, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yu Chen, 53, was beaten and shocked with an electric baton and severely injured by camp supervisor Yu Bo (female), just because she refused to recite the camp rules. On November 26 and 28, 2004, practitioner Ms. Wang Xiaoling, 42, was shocked by an electric baton during two sessions by Ward Chief Liu Lianying (female), injuring both of her legs, so she could not walk normally. On December 6, 2004, practitioner Ms. Guo Yafen, 50, was beaten by Liu Lianying, Ward Chief Ren Feng (female), and supervisor Lang Cuiping. She could not walk for many days after the beating, and was constantly dizzy. At the end of November 2004, practitioner Ms. Yi Huimin, 36, was shocked with an electric baton and brutally beaten by Liu Lianying. On October 12, 2004, practitioner Ms. Liu Li, 38, was beaten and shocked by Liu Lianying for three hours. Since December 29, 2004, Ms. Liu Li has been forced to stand motionless facing the wall every day for the entire day, until now. Practitioner Ms. Xue Guiying submitted a solemn declaration that she will start to practice Falun Dafa again. Supervisor Jia Hongyan (female) slapped her face four times, and cursed her.

2. Falun Dafa Practitioners are Tortured in the Mingyueshan No. 1 Detention Center in Anshan City, Liaoning Province

- Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Shen Zhenlan and her husband Piao are in their 70s and were arrested by police at their home on July 19, 2004. They were sentenced to five and one-half years and five years in prison, respectively. While Ms. Shen was detained in the Mingyueshan No. 1 Detention Center, she suffered from a stroke. Her condition is very serious, but the authorities refuse to release her.

- Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Suhuan is 56 years old. She was arrested in mid September 2004, and is still detained in the Mingyueshan No.1 Detention Center. She was also detained there in 2003. Director Zhang Zhenyang (male), guided his employee to torture her, and then forced her to jump down a flight of stairs, where she broke her spine. She was bedridden for eighteen months. She recovered after studying the Fa and doing Falun Dafa exercises. Now, because she is not allowed to read or exercise in detention, her old conditions have returned and she is bedridden again.

- Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zan Yuyun is 28 years old. On July 20, 2004, Zhao Naijin (male), chairman of the Political Party and Judiciary Committee of Anshan City, ordered police to arrest her. She was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp, and taken to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang, then sent back to the Mingyueshan No. 1 Detention Center in Anshan City. The authorities are planning to sentence her to a prison.

- Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zeng Duo, 25, was arrested together with Ms. Zan Yuyun at a Falun Dafa materials production center. She is also being held in the Mingyueshan No. 1 Detention Center.

- Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Qingzhu, 37, was arrested by police on July 20, 2004, and has been held for six months in the Mingyueshan Detention Center for "Interfering with the Application of the Law."

3. Three Falun Dafa Practitioners in Wenjiang District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province Sue Police

Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Fan Xinghua, Ms. Jiao Tianqiong, and Ms. Wei Deqiong and their families in Tianfu Town, Wenjiang District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province filed a lawsuit against police officer Li Weiguo (male) from the Wenjiang District Station, police officers Li Liang (male) and Chen (female) from the Wanchun Substation for the crimes of violating their personal freedoms and their freedoms of belief as guaranteed by the Chinese Constitution. Their suit requests 1) Payment for all mental and financial damages during the past five years by defendants for ransacking their homes, extorting money, and stealing their personal belongings. 2) Punishment of all responsible parties according to the law. 3) Open apologies to plaintiffs. 4) Cessation of all illegal mental and physical torture of all detained Falun Dafa practitioners, and their unconditional release from labor camps.
