Solemn Declarations by Falun Dafa Practitioners

Declaration

I am forty-nine years old. I used to suffer from various illnesses and was in poor health. None of the nearby hospitals could help me. In May 1996, I was fortunate to learn Falun Gong. After practicing it, I completely recovered as if I had a new life. I spread Falun Gong to my friends and relatives, and helped them practice the exercises and study the principles. They too gained healthy bodies.

After July 20, 1999, accomplices of Jiang' faction searched my house for Falun Gong books, harassed us and prohibited us from practicing. In May 2001, the perpetrators abducted me to the political security section, where the police asked me where the truth clarifying materials came from. Because I refused to tell them the source, the police inserted needles into my fingernails, and then four of them took turns beating me with a baton until I was unconscious on the ground. The police poured water on me to wake me up, and asked me what else I had done. I told them I painted "Falun Dafa is great." They told me, "As long as you quit the practice and put your fingerprint on the statement, we will let you go." I refused, so they jailed me in a detention center for half a month, during that time, to release me, the police extorted 3,000 yuan from my family. After I returned home, they kept harassing me.

In 2002, the police abducted me again and took me to a brainwashing class. Under pressure and in an environment full of lies, I was not quite myself and wrote the "four guarantees." I failed to live up to Teacher's expectation. Being deceived by the police, I even became a collaborator in the county. After waking up, I was overwhelmed with regret. Now I make this solemn statement in order to annul my words and deeds against Falun Dafa in the brainwashing classes.

I will redouble my effort to make up the losses I caused, do the three things well, and be persisting in practicing Falun Dafa.

Declaration

Before practicing Falun Gong, I suffered from many kinds of illnesses. In 1997, no sooner had my wife and I started to practice then all my illnesses disappeared. I genuinely felt how wonderful it was to have a healthy body. I realized Teacher's great compassion and protection.

On July 20, 1999, the persecution started. Someone from my work place claimed, "None of the communist party members are allowed to practice Falun Gong." Due to lack of studying the Fa, my shallow understanding of the principles, and my attachments to fear and affection, my spouse and I unwillingly wrote a statement to renounce Falun Gong. In addition, I handed over several Falun Gong books and Falun pictures. We did what we were not supposed to do as Falun Dafa practitioners. Since then, we have continuously felt regretful for our mistakes.

Through studying Teacher's lectures and articles, we came to realize our fundamental attachments: fear and selfishness. We deeply felt that we had done wrong to Falun Dafa and to Teacher's compassion and salvation. Now I make this solemn statement to annul our words and deeds that were against Falun Dafa. We will definitely follow the path directed by Teacher, do the three things well as Falun Dafa practitioners, and take our final steps well to validate Falun Dafa.
