Facts of the Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Guo Laosan is a resident of Nongan County (Changchun Area, Jilin Province). On August 22, 1994, when Guo was riding his bicycle home, a van intentionally hit him, knocking him down on the road. Four or five thugs jumped out from the van and abducted Guo. Another Dafa practitioner, Ms. Zhou Yongping, was arrested when she paid a visit to a fellow practitioner. The police were waiting for her in the practitioner's home. Since her arrest, Ms. Zhou has been on a hunger strike. The perpetrators have sent her to Nongan Hospital, where she was brutally force-fed. As a result of the torture, Ms. Zhou is currently in a critical condition.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhao Juanjuan is a retired worker of the county Agriculture Bureau in Doumen County (Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province). She is almost 70 years old. Since the persecution started in 1999 Ms. Zhao has been detained many times. To avoid the persecution, she was forced to leave her home twice, going from place to place. On June 11, 2004, she was abducted again. On the next day, the perpetrators sent her to the infamous brainwashing center in Zhuhai City: Minfu Hotel. Currently, two persecutors closely monitor her in the hotel.

Practitioner Yang Jin is an employee of the Telecommunication Bureau in Shiyan City, Hubei Province. On August 24, 2004, Yang was released from Shayang Forced Labor Camp. Two days after the release, Yang was abducted again by the police of Shiyan City from his/her home in Xishui.

Since August 15, 2004, many Dafa practitioners have been abducted in Acheng City, Heilongjiang Province. First, twenty-four practitioners were arrested for distributing truth-clarifying materials. One of the 24 practitioners was released, and everyone else is currently detained in the No. 1 and No.2 Detention Center in Acheng City. Several other practitioners who had been illegally sentenced are also detained in the No. 1 Detention Center of Acheng City. Later on, five more practitioners were arrested. They are Wang Hongwen, Zhang Cuixin, Wang Jincai, Tang Yafang, and Chang Liping. Currently, more than 30 Dafa practitioners are under detention in Acheng City.

In Jinma Residential Area (Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province), three female practitioners, Han Dongmei, Du Yanfang, and Xing Qiying, were abducted in May 2004. The abductions were spread over a period of about a dozen days. The perpetrators are police from Yudong Police Station, under the direction of Yuhua District "610 Office." The notorious Yudong Police Station has persecuted Dafa practitioners viciously. Currently, Han Dongmei and Du Yanfang are detained in the No. 2 Detention Center of Shijiazhuang City, while Xing Qiying has been released.
