Call for Papers for the 1st Internet Experience Sharing Conference of China
“Over the past few years of persecution you have displayed the mighty-virtue of Dafa disciples, but along the way, lots and lots of shortcomings have come to light. Yet in the process of validating the Fa, the vast majority of Dafa disciples have removed those shortcomings while cultivating and validating the Fa, and that's remarkable. Ordinary people aren't able to let go of human things. ” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Washington DC Fa Conference”)
“We should make our Fa Conferences grand gatherings in which we summarize what we’ve experienced and learned, find where we fall short, draw on what we have achieved, and establish the righteous thoughts of Dafa disciples. Cherish all of what you’ve done, and on the path ahead may you do even better. Master is watching you all, and always looks forward to good news from you.” (“Master’s Message to the European Fa Conference Held in Vienna”)

Ever since the persecution began on July 20, 1999, Falun Dafa in mainland China has stood fast, validating and safeguarding Dafa through cultivation and resisting and eliminating the persecution. After “Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A.” was published on December 29, 2001, Dafa disciples in mainland China definitely started to validate Dafa, save sentient beings, and build up mighty virtue through the three things: Fa-study, sending righteous thoughts, and clarifying the truth, just like Dafa disciples in more than 50 other countries around the world.
Having experienced the past five years, Dafa disciples in mainland China, the main body of Dafa disciples, have gained a lot of experience, leaned many lessons, pondered, and improved. They have gone through a process of becoming more rational, clear-minded, and mature through cultivation in the Fa-rectification period. They have written many precious documents. Because of the ongoing persecution, the bulk of the information we have provided to the public is how we have been persecuted and how we have resisted the persecution. To better eliminate the evil, validate Dafa, clarify the truth, and compensate for the lack of large-scale Fa conferences in mainland China since 1999, the Minghui website will hold the first “Internet Experience Sharing Conference of China" through focused publication of experience sharing papers starting this year. We hope Dafa disciples in mainland China will actively participate in the conference.
The conference will start publishing papers in mid October 2004. A conference team composed of overseas Dafa disciples will select and categorize the submissions and publish them based on regions. It is hoped that fellow practitioners in mainland China will actively support the conference, spread the news to areas with limited communication channels, and submit your experiences of your righteous thoughts and actions over the past five years. Let's take advantage of the Minghui website, a venue to share cultivation experience for Dafa disciples around the world, to hold a solemn and magnificent experience sharing conference.
The experience sharing conference is a form of cultivation Master gave us. The Internet conference is an effort to continue this form of cultivation during this special period of time. Your safety is a precondition, so that you will be able to continue with the three things Master stressed repeatedly. The conference is also an opportunity to give Master a report on the state of Dafa disciples' cultivation in mainland China.
In “Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival” a practitioner asked, “Revered Master, practitioners use the Internet to exchange understandings and experiences. Is that format good or bad?” The question was referring to using chat rooms or other instant messaging. Master answered:
“I think that's not a problem outside of Mainland China, but don't talk about the specifics of what you're doing to validate the Fa. If it's in Mainland China, it's best that you give priority to your safety and don't allow the old forces to take advantage of gaps. This isn't a matter of being afraid or not, it's about not letting the evil take advantage of any gaps.” (“Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival”)
Master said in “Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Washington DC Fa Conference:”
“At this point only about five percent of the original dark minions are left, and very few of the gods who have played a negative role in Fa-rectification still remain. But they are still playing a wicked role within the mechanisms arranged in the past by the old forces. So in validating the Fa, no matter what the situation is, none of you should let down your guard.”
Based on the above, please follow Master's instructions, don't let down your guard, and treat safety as a priority.
We hope Dafa disciples in different stages of cultivation and in different places will take this opportunity to strengthen understandings and communication, learn from each other, find where we fall short, catch up with the process of Fa rectification, and move forward. The conference will also reflect Falun Dafa disciples' steadfastness in following Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. It will also play a positive role in encouraging practitioners who need more faith and in correcting the wicked. Moreover, it will expose and deter the evil.
Please treat the issue of safety with rationality and calmness, and bear in mind your responsibility for Dafa, fellow practitioners, yourself, and sentient beings when writing, editing, and submitting the papers. Writing and submission should be done at individual level. Don't gather papers, create a roster for easier operation, or organize any in-person experience sharing at your area. This is to ensure a minimum of losses during the process of truth-clarification and saving sentient beings.
