Facts of the Persecution

1) A group of determined Dafa practitioners are being held at the Longshan Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. They have been on a hunger strike for over 20 days. We hope fellow practitioners who hear of this information can support these incarcerated Dafa practitioners by sending forth righteous thoughts, clarifying the truth through various channels to suffocate the evil, and demand the release of these practitioners.

2) Ms. Gao Weiping is a Dafa practitioner in Beijing, around 40 years of age. Because she persisted in her belief in Dafa, she was detained three times and illegally sentenced to a total of three years of forced labor. Her husband filed for divorce during her detention. After her release, Gao Weiping had no home to return to, and her work unit persecuted her. In May 2004, Gao Weiping left her work unit to avoid further persecution and roamed the streets.

3) Ms. Yang Yuhuan, 46 years old, was a storekeeper at Jilin City's Transportation Company in Jilin City, Jilin Province. She left home in 2002 to avoid any persecution. She passed away on August 3, 2004.

4) Mr. Ma Minghai, a Falun Gong practitioner from Xianyang City, Shanxi Province went to Tiananmen Square in December 1999 to unfurl a banner and was subsequently sentenced to three years of forced labor. His sentence was later extended by six months. His wife who went to Tiananmen with him was sentenced to one year of forced labor. In February 2004, Dafa practitioner Mr. Ma Minghai was abducted again and sent to the Zaozihe Forced Labor Camp in Shanxi Province, to be held for two years. Ma Minghai's wife was released after her term expired, but three months later she was sent to the Shanxi Province Female Labor Camp to be held for another two years. Ma Minghai's brother Ma Mingxun was also held at the Zaozihe Forced Labor Camp for one year, for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. Ma Minghai's sister was arrested at the same time as he in February 2004. His brother-in-law Wang Dawei was abducted by perpetrators from the National Security Bureau around May 2002, and three days later he died from results of was torture.

4) Mr. Jiang Wenjun, a popular tailor from Kangdong Village, Kang'ercheng Town, Wu'an City, Hebei Province was abducted by perpetrators from Kang'ercheng Town's Police Department and was sent to the Wu'an City Detention Center. Jiang Wenjun held a hunger strike for over one month and requested to be released. Zhang Lihua from the Wu'an City Police Department not only refused to release him, he sent Jiang Wenjun to the Shijiazhuang City's Forced Labor Camp, which refused to take Jiang Wenjun because of his critical condition. Zhang Lihua then went to enforcers at the Handan Brainwashing Class and forced the authorities there to accept Jiang Wenjun. After Jiang Wenjun's condition improved, he was again sent to the Shijiazhuang City's Forced Labor Camp.

5) Practitioner Ms. Zhao Shenxing, a vegetable farmer and vendor in Wu'an City was abducted around April 20 [Chinese lunar calendar] and sent to the Wu'an City Detention Center, where he was severely tortured until he had a nervous breakdown.

6) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wu Xingzhou, 71 years old, lived in the Huangshi area in Hubei Province. He went to Beijing to appeal in April 2000. Perpetrators from the Laoxialu Police Station abducted him after he returned home. They held him for 15 days and fined him 400 Yuan. On October 4, 2002, Wu Xingzhou was again abducted. The guilty ones are Qiu Gang, head of the Laoxialu Police Station and other perpetrators. The abducted practitioner and his wife were taken to the police station and then sent to the No. 1 Detention Center in Huangshi and held for 35 days. During the detention, the perpetrators sent Wu Xingzhou to Dongfangshan to make a video tape of him to be used for propaganda and slandering of Falun Gong. They extorted 5,000 Yuan from Wu Xingzhou before releasing him. They later returned 2,000 Yuan.
