1. [Yunnan Province] Mother's Whereabouts Unknown After Illegal Arrest, Her Son Is Left at Home Without Care
On July 28, 2004, Ms. Gu Xiufen, a Falun Dafa practitioner in Yunnan Province, was arrested by police from the Gaoming Police Department. Her whereabouts remain unknown. Her son, who is a student in middle school, was left at home with no one to care for him.
2. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ren Mingzhu, a Falun Dafa Practitioner in Baiguolin, Is Tortured
On May 13, 2003, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Ren Mingzhu from Baiguolin gave another practitioner some truth-clarifying materials when she went to buy vegetables at a market. Both of them were arrested. Ren Mingzhu was illegally sentenced to a year and a half in Zizhong Prison. When her family went to visit her during the Spring Festival, they saw that she had become weak and thin, with scabies all over her body. The other practitioner was released after being detained for ten days, and her home was ransacked.
3. [Tianjin City] Falun Dafa Practitioners Unlawfully Detained in Tianjin Female Forced Labor Camp with Extended Terms
The following is a list of Falun Dafa practitioners who have been unlawfully detained in the Tianjin Female Forced Labor Camp with extended terms:
Ms. Liu Jialing (over 30 years old)
Her detention term was illegally extended by one year, during which time she was forced to get divorced.
Ms. Ping Yurong (52 years old)
She was illegally sentenced to three years in prison. Her detention term was illegally extended by ten months. Ping Yurong has been on a hunger strike for a long time to protest the illegal detention.
Ms. Dong Yuying
Her detention term was illegally extended by one year. Currently she is on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention.
Ms. Yang Fenxia (51 years old)
She was severely tortured during the illegal detention.
Ms. He Qinying (53 years old)
She was illegally sentenced to one year. Then her term was illegally extended by another year. After that, she was sentenced to another year and a half in prison.
Ms. Yan Shujun (over 40 years old)
Her detention term was illegally extended by over four months.

On August 1, 2004, in Qingliu County, Xindu District, practitioners Ms. Li Huayu and Ms. Feng Guiqing were arrested at home by Qingliu County's "610 Office." They were sent to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center for persecution.
5. [Chongqing City, Sichuan Province] Deng Weiqiang, Director of Huanggua Mountain Tea Factory in Yongchuan, Dies Suffering Injustice
Mr. Deng Weiqiang, 57 years old, was a director of the Huanggua Mountain Tea Factory in Yongchuan, Chongqing. After he began practicing Falun Gong, various diseases he suffered from disappeared, and he became healthier overall. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, Liu Hanchao and Xu Daibi forced Deng Weiqiang to attend a meeting and forced him to give up his Dafa books and exercise music tapes. Under those circumstances, Deng Weiqiang could not understand why he was forced to do so, and he passed out in indignation and distress. On December 28, 2000, Mr. Deng passed away.
6. [Jidong County, Heihongjiang Province] Ma Xiuzhi in Jidong County Is Arrested and Her Life Is in Danger
At about 8 a.m. on August 5, 2004, police from the Mingde Town Police Station in Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province, drove to Yongxiang Village. They illegally ransacked the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Ma Xiuzhi. After finding dozens of truth-clarifying flyers, the police arrested Ma Xiuzhi and sent her to the Jidong Detention Center.
Recently, Ma Xiuzhi has been severely tortured. She is now unable to eat and her life is in danger. However, the Political Security Section of the Jidong County Police Department has ignored her critical condition and still refuses to release her. Many Falun Dafa practitioners have been held and persecuted in this detention center.
