Facts of the Persecution
Before October 2003, Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Huang Gang, Mr. Hu Weidong, Mr. Zhao Jiyuan, Mr. Zhen Shijie, Mr. Song Wanshou, Mr. Lou Xinhua, and Mr. Li Yanzeng were jailed in the No.2 Ward of the Shenyang Prison in Liaoning Province. They were all locked in small cells (a cell without light that is less than 4 square meters in size) for 16 hours per day. This persecution continued for 2 to 6 months. They were given little food, limited use of the toilet and not allowed to wash. On November 3, 2003, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Chen Xiu was beaten for 40 minutes and shocked with an electric baton, which caused painful swelling of his face and body.
Ms. Ma Shuzhi is 41 years old, from Qiuzhangzi Village, Mutoudeng Town, Qinglong County, Hebei Province. She went to Tiananmen Square in Beijing to validate the Fa in October 1999 together with her fellow practitioners. Her story is as follows: "I was arrested in Beijing and sent to the Qinglong County Detention Center, where I was brutally tortured and extorted out of 850 yuan (1). In March 2000, I was abducted and forced into a brainwashing class held in the Qinglong County Legal Education Center for one month, during which time my family was extorted 2,000 yuan. I went to Beijing again in November 2001 and was arrested and detained at the Chaoyang Detention Center in Beijing for 15 days. I went to Tiananmen to unfurl a banner after being released, and I was arrested again and detained in the Pinggu Detention Center, where I went on hunger strike to demand my release. Unnoticed, I walk out of the Detention Center under the protection of our Teacher."
Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wu Jinhua is 54 years old. She went to Beijing to safeguard the Fa twice and was arrested 5 times before November 2001. She was detained at 11 facilities, resulting in both mental and physical trauma. She was employed in a position that paid more than 1,000 yuan per month, but was dismissed in May 2000, because she refused to renounce her beliefs.
Political Security Office Head, Yu Hongquan (male), of the Nongan County Police Station, Jilin Province abducted dozens of Falun Dafa practitioners and sent them to labor camps. Among these practitioners, Mr. Liu Chengjun was tortured to death. When Mr. Liu was dying in Jilin Provincial No.2 Prison, it was Yu Hongquan and his group that refused to release Liu Chengjun for medical treatment, resulting in his death. Furthermore, there are countless cases of Yu Hongquan's extortion of money from Falun Dafa practitioners.
Political Security Office Head Yu Shuping (male) of Shahe County, Hebei Province knows the truth of Falun Dafa. He pretends to be nice on the surface, but ignoring his conscience, he brutalizes Falun Dafa practitioners. He was involved in abducting Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Zhang Guangcai and Ms. Zhang Xingfang at gunpoint on June 5, 2004. Leading a group of thugs, he stormed into Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Fan Qingzhou's home on June 8, 2004. They ransacked his home and arrested him.
