(Clearwisdom.net) June 26 was United Nations International Day in Support of Victims of Torture. Practitioners in the UK held a peaceful appeal in front of the Chinese Embassy in London to call on society to pay attention to the brutal and illegal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, which Jiang's group has been conducting for five years.

Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, sent righteous thoughts and told people about the campaign of genocide being waged against Falun Gong in China. Meanwhile, pictures were displayed showing various forms of torture, as well as other harassment that practitioners have been subjected to when they were detained in labor camps and prisons. Passers-by stopped to look at the pictures and read the information carefully. Some of them talked to the practitioners to learn more about the truth.
Coincidently, the carrying of this year's Olympic Torch passed through Chinatown in London on the same day, and a lot of people gathered to watch the spectacle. Some of the practitioners made good use of this opportunity to distribute leaflets about the human rights violations in China. The appeal finished at midnight, after practitioners sent righteous thoughts.
