1. [Longcheng, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Yu Huijuan Tortured to the Brink of Death at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yu Huijuan was again arrested by the Longcheng Police Department on April 3. She was sent to the notorious Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Yu Huijuan went on a hunger strike to protest her imprisonment. The camp assigned a "personal cangue" (1) to supervise her. They held Ms. Yu Huijuan in solitary confinement. Ms. Yu Huijuan is now held by the No. 2 Team of the No. 2 Brigade. She can no longer hold down any food because of the persecution she suffered. She throws up anything she swallows and is on an IV to keep her alive. Yet, the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp still refuses to release her. Instead, they extort money from Ms. Yu's family, claiming that the money is used for her medical treatment.
2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Jin Dewei Persecuted to Disability at the Shenyang City Detention Center
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Jin Dewei is now held at the Shenyang City Detention Center. He is unable to take care of himself. He needs other people to carry him to the toilet when he needs to use it. However, the police still refuse to release him. They announced that, "We would rather let him die here than release him."
3. [Congzhou City, Sichuan Province] "610 Office" Personnel Break into Private Residence to Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioners
Under the instructions of the Chengdu City Political and Judiciary Committee and the City "610 Office" (2), in May 2004 the personnel from Congzhou City "610 Office" kept surveillance on Falun Dafa practitioners from the Congzhou City area. They stalk them, arranged people to stake out practitioners' homes and arrest them. We have learned that four Falun Dafa practitioners have been arrested. They are Ms. Tian Xiuying and her younger sister, Mr. Liu Yong and a practitioner with the surname of Zhu.
4. [Taihe County, Anhui Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Yang Xiuli Sentenced to Two Years of Forced Labor
Yang Xiuli from Taihe County, Anhui Province was sentenced to two years of forced labor after the Chinese New Year of 2004. She is now held at the Hefei Women's Forced Labor Camp. Those involved in the persecution include Taihe County Political and Security Section, as well as "610 Office" policemen Chen Zhenxi and Yang Dakuan, among others.
5. [Tongcheng County, Hubei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Mao Manyuan Arrested Several Times; Husband Passes Away Due to Her Absence
In July 2002, the police from the Tongcheng Political and Legal Section of Hubei Province arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Mao Manyuan (her home was just across the road from the County Government) and detained her at the No. 2 Detention Center. She suffered under this persecution for more than 50 days. Additionally, they extorted 5,000 yuan (3) from her. She had an 85 year-old mother; her husband, Zhang Zhonglin, was critically ill and her brother-in-law, Zhang Zhi, was held at the No. 1 Detention Center. She was the sole caregiver for an elderly and a sick person. They no longer had anyone to take care of them. At the time when Ms. Mao's husband was in great need of her, she could not fulfil her duties and obligations as a wife. Shortly after Ms. Mao's release, her husband died. This was a heavy mental blow for her.
Ms. Mao Manyuan had been arrested three times. In 2000 she was detained for nearly two months and the authorities extorted 5,000 Yuan from her.
6. [Suzhou City, Anhui Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Sun Chan Brutally Tortured in Prison
Ms. Sun Chan, 22 years old, from Anqing Area, Anhui Province, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison. She is now detained at the Suzhou Women's Prison in Anhui Province. Ms. Sun Chan refused to follow any orders from the evil and refused to wear the prison uniform. The police used all kinds of cruel torture methods to persecute her in order to force her to give up her belief in Falun Dafa. This included beating with police batons, shocking with electric batons, wearing handcuffs and being forced to stand still for a long period of time. The torture usually would last for half a month to one month.
Policewoman Wang Yan was instrumental in having criminals torture Ms. Sun Chan. One of the main criminal offenders had been penalized for standing up for Ms. Sun Chan. They deducted merit points and forced her to stand still for a long period of time. This inmate was transferred out of the surveillance cell and was then put under strict surveillance. She was forbidden to have any contact with Ms. Sun Chan. The police threw all clothes and shoes, which were given to Ms. Sun Chan by fellow inmates, into the garbage bin. The police also incited other criminals to torture Ms. Sun Chan. She was in a very precarious position. The police threatened that they would not stop torturing her as long as she remained steadfast in her belief in Falun Dafa. She suffered daily beatings and other physical punishment.

7. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] More Facts about the Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Li Yanhua and Her Family
Ms. Li Yanhua is a Falun Dafa practitioner employed by the China Construction Third Engineering Bureau in Jingmen City, Hubei Province. The bureau also employed her husband, Chen Qiji, and brother-in-law, Chen Qiyin. After the persecution of Falun Dafa began on July 20,1999, they were all fired by their work unit. The two brothers were sent for more than two years to Shayang for forced labor. Now the younger brother Chen Qiyin has to work outside town to support the family. The elder brother, Chen Qiji, was sentenced last October to ten years in prison and was sent to the Fajiatai Prison in Shayang. His whereabouts are unknown.
Ms Li Yanhua was arrested at the end of March 2004 and detained at the provincial brainwashing center. She remained very steadfast in her belief in Falun Dafa. She was then sent back to Jingmen City and imprisoned at the No. 1 Detention Center. In April 2004, Ms. Li Yanhua was sent to a brainwashing center run by the Jingmen Party School. She still remained steadfast and would not betray her beliefs. She is now held at the Jingmen No. 1 Detention Center where she is still suffering persecution.
Now, only her son, who is in his second year of senior high school, and an 80-year-old mother who is suffering from diabetes, remain at home. A happy family has been broken apart because of the persecution.
8. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Feng Yingde Abducted by the Police While Clarifying the Facts about Falun Dafa
On the evening of May 16, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Feng Yingde from Dongjiao Township, Changde City was arrested by the police of the Chengdong Police Station while clarifying the facts about Falun Dafa and handing out Dafa materials to the local residents. Practitioner Feng is now detained at the Changde City Detention Center. The police requested 2,000 Yuan for the release of Feng Yingde.

9. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Yang Hua Arrested While Distributing Truth-Clarification Materials
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Yang Hua, over 30 years old, is from Xinjian Township, Zhongfang County, Huaihua City, Hunan Province. On June 7, 2004 Mr. Yang was arrested by two policemen from Hongxing Police Station while handing out truth-clarification materials at Hongxing Road, Huaihua City.

10. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Facts about the Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners by the Director of the Yonghe Village Public Security Committee of Tuanshanzi Township
In January 2003, Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Mo Zhikuai and Mr. Wang Haifeng from Xingan Village, Tuanshanzi Township of Yilan County in Heilongjiang Province went to Yonghe Village to distribute truth-clarification materials. They were caught by Director Gao Fengshan of the Yonghe Village Public Security Committee and his cohorts, and were cruelly beaten. Gao Fengshan reported the two practitioners to the Tuanshanzi Township Police Station. As a result, Mr. Mo and Mr. Wang were sentenced to three and two years of imprisonment respectively.
On March 8, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Zhang Delong, Mr. Li Chunfa and two others from Houlang Village, Tuanshanzi Township went to Yonghe Village to hand out the truth-clarification materials again. They were also caught by Director Gao Fengshan and his cohorts. This lawless group viciously beat up some of the practitioners. Then Gao Fengshan hired a car and sent these four Falun Gong practitioners to Tuanshanzi Township Police Station. At the time, the Tuanshanzi Police Station was jubilant as if it had solved a major criminal case. The Criminal Investigation Section of the Yilan County sent police to the township and the Yilan Television Station also came to the township to report the arrest. A program slandering Falun Dafa was broadcast from that station at a later time. Gao Fengshan shamelessly flaunted his so-called merits during an interview with the TV station.
It is learned that Mr. Zhang Delong was sentenced to three years of forced labor and is now held at Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp.
11. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Criminal Acts Committed by Zhang Huanyou, Director of Tuanshanzi Township Police Station
Director Zhang Huanyou of Tuanshanzi Township in Yilan County actively takes part in the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. He handles all persecution cases of Dafa practitioners in that township.
In January 2003, Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Mo Zhikuai and Mr. Wang Haifeng were arrested. They were released from the Yilan Detention Center after one month of hunger strike. One day in May, Zhang Huanyou kidnapped the two practitioners from their homes and immediately sent them to Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Mo Zhikuai was sentenced to three years of forced labor and Mr. Wang Haifeng two years. It is confirmed that Mr. Mo Zhikuai suffered from cruel torture, including beatings, being shocked with electric batons and being hung up for one day and one night.
Two days before October 1, 2003 (China's National Day), Zhang Huanyou ordered his men to abduct 60 year-old Ms. Jiang Lianying from her home at Tuanshanzi Township and they searched her house. After finding several copies of Teacher's new articles and some other truth-clarification materials, they ordered Ms. Jiang to burn them in the police station. She rejected Zhang Huanyou's order so she was first sent to Yilan County Detention Center and then to the notorious Wanjia Forced Labor Camp for two years of forced labor
Zhang Huanyou has always been hypocritical about his persecution of Dafa practitioners. When he persecutes Dafa practitioners he pretends that it is beyond his control, as he is only obeying orders. He pretends to be utterly helpless. His actions show his true intentions when it comes to the persecution of Dafa practitioners, or to committing other bad deeds.

Notes:
(1) "Personal cangue" -- The two people assigned to supervise the behavior of a practitioner around-the-clock. Since they follow the practitioner wherever he or she goes, they are like the cangue formerly used in China for punishing petty criminals.
(2) "610 Office" -- A bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches.
(3) Yuan -- Chinese currency, the monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 yuan.
