1. [Yanqing County, Beijing] Practitioners Wang Laiquan and Zhao Jinghua Secretly Sentenced to 8-Year Prison Terms
On June 17, 2004, the Yanqing Court sentenced Wang Laiquan and his wife Zhao Jinghua, who had already been detained for six months, to 8-year prison terms. Wang Laiquan worked at the ticket office of the Badaling Great Wall scenic spot in Yanqing County.
The couple was arrested after a truth-clarifying materials site in Yanqing County was sabotaged on December 23, 2003. They were detained in Yanqing County Detention Center.
None of their relatives were notified about the trial, thus no one was present at the sentencing. The Yanqing County "610 Office" (1) personnel, Yanqing County Public Security Bureau National Security Section policemen and Yanqing Court personnel had conspired to hold the proceedings in secret. The village neighbors conveyed the sentence notice many days later.

2. [Guangan City, Sichuan Province] 60 Year Old Lady is Beaten for Over 4 Hours
Practitioner Ms. Hu Xiaocui of Fangping Township, Guangan District, Guangan City, Sichuan Province worked as casual staff in a restaurant at Guangan Old Town after she was released from forced labor camp. One day in March 2004, the police again arrested her on suspicion of passing out Falun Gong truth-clarification materials. The same night, 5 or 6 people from Guangan and Fangping Township governments stormed into the home of Hu Xiaocui's mother, who was alone at home. She had a young niece with her. They illegally searched the home and beat the 60 year-old elderly lady for more than 4 hours. They were very aggressive. The surrounding neighbors were very angry, but did not dare to speak up.
3. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Practitioner Zhou Zixian is Sentenced and Forced to Divorce
Hengyang City Intermediate Court recently sentenced Hengyang City Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhou Zixian to 6 years imprisonment for exposing the crimes that Jiang has committed in persecuting Falun Gong. He is being held in Changde City Wuling Jail. His wife had to divorce him because of economic hardships.
4. [Shiyan City, Hubei Province] Zhu Xirong and 3 Other Practitioners are Secretly Sentenced
On November 27, 2003, many banners appeared in East Bailang District, Shiyan City with the words, "Bring Jiang Zemin to justice", "Falun Dafa is great" and "Falun Dafa is righteous" etc. The perpetrators of the persecution were shocked. The same night, they ordered more than 100 policemen and several dozen police cars to unlawfully search the homes of 42 practitioners' in the Bailang area, and arrested nearly 10 practitioners.
In mid-June 2004, 4 practitioners were secretly sentenced. Zhu Xirong was sentenced to 4 years in prison, Yao Liping was sentenced to 3 years, and Zhou Ping was sentenced to 2 years.
5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Dafa Practitioners Sun Yufeng and Tian Ronghe are Arrested
Around 5 p.m. on July 4, Dafa Practitioners Sun Yufeng and Tian Ronghe were arrested close to their home near the Harbin Power Area Steamer Machine Factory.
6. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Tiemen Township Police Station and Town Joint Defense Unit Arrest Practitioners
At 12 midnight on July 1, 2004, Hubei Province Macheng City Songbu Town Local Police Station and joint defence units searched Dafa practitioner Wang Xingguo's home and arrested him.
During the daytime of July 2, Macheng City Tiemen Township Local Police Station and joint defence units arrested a practitioner of Liujiafan Village at home.
7. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Fengrun Dafa Practitioner Wang Zhiling is Abducted, Home Searched and Money Extorted
On July1, 2004, the police arrested Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Zhiling at his workplace, searched and also arrested his wife at home. The police confiscated their bankbook with more than 10,000 yuan (2) and wage card, leaving the family in poverty. The police also confiscated their computer, photocopier and other items that were used in their business. The total value of the confiscated items amounted to 10,000 yuan. They even unlawfully searched the home of their parents and aunt (who do not practice Falun Gong) and threatened them. It severely disturbed their normal family lives. On the same day, these two practitioners escaped with righteous thoughts.
8. [Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province] Perpetrators Plan to Capture Practitioners Who Expose Their Evildoings on the Internet
On March 11, 2004, we wrote to the Minghui/Clearwisdom website about the evildoings of the personnel in Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province. The perpetrators were shocked. We are here to thank all the Dafa practitioners' support and assistance.
During the 2004 Chinese New Year, 2 fellow practitioners were arrested and sentenced. Ms. Zeng Jinlian was sentenced to 3 years in prison, and a practitioner with the surname of Zhang received a 1-year sentence. On May 24, 2004, Ms. Liu Taoying was arrested for publishing articles on Minghui. Her whereabouts is still unknown. The police arrested another practitioner in the suspicion of exposing the evildoers' crimes on Minghui and detained this person for 15 days without any evidence. The police are looking for practitioners who exposed their crimes on the website.
9. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioners Chen Zhanshan and Ying Shifeng are Arrested
Dafa practitioners Chen Zhanshan and Ying Shifeng of Wafangdian Dalian City, Liaoning Province are the employees of Wafangdian Mechanical Section. Because they insist on practicing Falun Gong and believing in the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance", they lost their position as drivers, and were assigned as door guards, however they did not complain.
On June 23, 2004, Dalian Railway public security section officers arrested Chen Zhanshan, while Ying Shifeng was working. He held on the doorframe and refused to go with the police. The police beat him into to unconsciousness and kidnapped him. There were around 100 people watching these on-goings. The onlookers were very angry, seeing the police arresting good people without reason.

10. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] National Security Spies Arrest 4 Practitioners and Provoke People's Indignation
Early in the morning of July 1, 2004, Weifang National Security Spies rushed into the homes of Dafa practitioner Zhao Jiang and Guo Huiqi, and confiscated computers and personal belongings (the amount of money and value of the properties are not known at this time). These two practitioners are being held at Weifang City "610 Office" brainwashing center and Weicheng District Detention Center.
On the night of July 2, the National Security Spies rushed into the home of the couple, Chang Mingrong and Teng, Yuqing, confiscated all family belongings, and detained Chang Mingrong at Kuiwen District Detention Center, and Teng Yuqing at Weifang "610 Office" brainwashing center.
The arrest of the above 4 Dafa practitioners aroused 'great indignation among the people of the area. Chang Mingrong and Zhao Jiang are recognized widely as good employees of the People's Hospital. Teng Yuqing is known as an outstanding teacher, acknowledged by the school principal to the staff at Weifang City Shiyan Primary School. They all criticize the evildoings by the National Security Spies and "610 Office".
11. [Chongqing City] The Recent Facts of the Persecution of Chongqing Dafa Practitioners
Dafa practitioner Mr. Chen Zhiquan, 60 years old, lives at Building No. 6, 5th Wenhua Village, Xiejiawan, Chongqing City. He is an English teacher at No. 2 Construction High School, Construction Group Company. He began to practice Falun Gong in 1996. On June 9, 2004, when he was distributing Dafa truth-clarification materials, he was arrested by the security guard and sent to Xiejiawan Local Police Station, and later detained at Huayan Detention Center. Gao and 3 other policemen of the local police station confiscated his computer and materials.
On June 30, Xiejiawan Local Police Station also arrested Zhang Wenjun who is over 60 years old, and lives at Building No. 45, 2nd Wenhua Village, Xiejiawan. The details are unknown.
12. [Chongqing City] Southwest Aluminum Industry Group Persecutes Dafa Practitioners
Ms. Wang Shibi, over 50 years old, a Primary School teacher of the Aluminum City, was sentenced to 5 years in jail in the summer of 2000, and is detained at Chongqing Women's Prison.
Ms. Lu Xiaohua, 57, a retired worker of West Aluminum Factory, was sentenced to 3 years in jail in July 2001, and is detained at Chongqing Female Forced Labor Camp.
Ms. Jiang Fushi, 63, a retired teacher of West Aluminum Factory, was sentenced to 2 years in September 2003, and is detained at Chongqing Female Forced Labor Camp.
Ms. Li Anbi, 63, a retired teacher of Xipeng Primary School at Jiulongpo District, was sentenced to 2 years in September 2003, and is detained at Chongqing Female Forced Labor Camp.
Ms. Xu Huibi, over 60 years old, a retired teacher of West Aluminum Factory, was sentenced to 5 years in jail in September 2003, and is detained at Chongqing Women's Prison.

13. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp Detains Practitioners Beyond their Terms
Changchun City Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp has detained practitioners who are steadfast and refused to write the "Dissociation Statement" for many days, including practitioner Liu Boyang. They said they were in possession of a detention warrant, but could not provide the document.
Recently, they have been sending all the steadfast Dafa practitioners to the local "610 Office". The "610 Office" has sent practitioners Fu Yan, Li Wei, Pan Gang and others to Xinglongshan Brainwashing Center for further persecution. They even threatened: If the practitioners do not renounce their belief, they will be sent them back to the forced labor camp.
