(Clearwisdom.net) It has been five years since Jiang's group began the unreasonable persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999. Facing constantly escalated persecution, hundreds of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners in China have been detained, incarcerated, sentenced, and more than 1,000 practitioners have died as a result of the persecution. Jiang's group's also extended its persecution outside of China, conducting terrorist acts by threatening Falun Gong practitioners overseas, damaging their personal property and even hiring gunmen to assassinate them. All these acts cannot waver Dafa practitioners' steadfast belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance," but temper the practitioners to become firmer in their convictions..
Over the past five years of persecution, like all Falun Gong practitioners inside and outside of China, practitioners in Macao have never given up their belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance," and have been following Master's teaching to walk steadfastly on the path of Fa-rectification cultivation. Though we do not have many practitioners in Macao, and our strength is not that strong, and the environment is relatively harsh, Dafa practitioners have been remaining righteous thoughts and righteous actions, steadfastly doing the three things, and each Dafa practitioner has spontaneously played the role as a Dafa particle.
July 20 was not a holiday, Dafa practitioners used their noon break to distribute Dafa truth clarification materials at the famous tourist site in Macao and explained to the tourists from the Mainland China and local citizens about the persecution of Falun Gong. During the evening, the practitioners held a candlelight vigil in the small park outside the Chinese Liaison Office, to commemorate Dafa practitioners who have died as a result of the persecution, protest Jiang's group's state terrorism and call for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong.
