Facts of the Persecution

Ms. Luu Shuzhen, aunt of Japanese resident Wan Yingjie, was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor in March 2003 because she went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. She is being held at the Heizuizi Female Labor Camp in Changchun. On June 12, it was learned that Luu Shuzhen cannot eat and was found to have a tumor in her stomach, which is suspected to be cancerous. Even so, the labor camp authorities are refusing to let her out on medical parole.

Dafa practitioner Zhang Junyun from Jilin City has been held at the No. 1 Detention Center since May 19, 2004 and went on a hunger strike. During her detention, Du Xingze, head of Changyi District's National Security Division, and guards from the No. 3 Detention Center have brutally beaten her.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Wu Qinxia from Benxi City, Liaoning Province and his family have been severely persecuted. The local authorities have ransacked their home and harassed them constantly. Wu Qinxia and her daughter were abducted and sent to the Dabailou Detention Center, and they were later sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. The labor camp refused to accept Wu Qinxia because she was seriously ill. After she was sent home, the perpetrators continued to harass her.

The guards at the Zhangshi Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City continue to torture determined Dafa practitioners. They took several practitioners to a small building to "reform them by force." During April 8-10, 2004, the guards used seven or eight electric batons to shock Dafa practitioner Mr. Du Anli in three different sessions. Each time, Du Anli was cuffed to a bed, and the guards shocked him until the batteries on the electric batons ran out.
