Facts of the Persecution

1) Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Lin Yanqing was a post-doctorate student in Harbin Industrial University. He has been on hunger strike since May 16--over 25 days now--in the Rujiang Labor Camp in Fujian Province to protest his wrongful detention. The labor camp has sent him to Jianxin Hospital, where he is brutally force-fed with a steel tube. He is in a very dangerous situation.

2) My name is Lu Xin. I am 67 years old and a resident of Liuwang Village, Xinyu Town, Beiliu City, Guangxi Province. Because I publicly exposed the truth of how Falun Dafa practitioners are being persecuted, my home was ransacked three times, and I have been wrongfully detained six times. I was sentenced to two and a half years in a labor camp because I went to Guiping to clarify the facts in Guangxi Province. My husband Liang Jinfa is 70 years old, and started practicing Falun Dafa in 1996. He was detained three times. In January 2001, he was arrested and taken to the police station, where he was interrogated for 48 hours straight, without sleep. Later, he was transferred to a detention center, and sentenced to two years of labor camp because he "provided Falun Gong practitioners with places for activities and kept Falun Gong materials."

3) Retired doctor Huang Jihong in Xuchang City, Henan Province and her husband Wang Xinsheng have been detained multiple times in the past several years for firmly holding to their belief in Falun Dafa. Ms. Huang Jihong was forced to do heavy labor, physically tortured, and brutally force-fed, resulting in both physical and mental devastation. The City Postal Office withheld all of her retirement pension, and her husband has also had all of his salary withheld by his employer--the City Insurance Company--only receiving 200 Yuan (1) in living expenses each month.

4) Excellent Teacher Award winner Ms. Shan Shuying has been detained many times because she has never given up her belief in Falun Dafa. She has been sentenced to two years of labor camp, and served in the Tumuji Labor Camp in Inner-Mongolia Autonomous District, where she was tortured both mentally and physically. She was released in 2002 and returned to Dayan, but the local officials continued to try to force her to give up Falun Dafa. Police often pounded on her door in the middle of the night to harass her. She was forced to become homeless in order to avoid being wrongfully arrested at home. In February 2004, she was arrested in Yakeshi, and detained in the Yakeshi Detention Center. She was secretly sent back to Dayan after 15 days. No one knows where she is now, or if she is still alive.

5) Some cases of persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners' by police from the Zhengyang Police Substation in Luyuan District, Changchun City, Jilin Province:

Mr. Li Xiaoguang was arrested by police on July 16, 2002, tortured, and detained in the No.3 Detention Center, where he remains today. Ms. Liu Jing was arrested around July 20, 2002, together with her fellow practitioner, Ms. Zou Jihua. Ms. Liu Jing has been tortured for a long time now, and remains detained today. Ms. Yan Weihua was also arrested around July 20, 2002, and remains detained today. Between July 16 to July 20, 2002, police from the Zhengyang Substation arrested 20-30 Falun Dafa practitioners. Among these practitioners, Ms. Zhi Guixiang was tortured to death.

A Story from China:

I am a 10-year-old student in an elementary school in Liaotun Town, Bei-ning City, Liaoning Province. Once, while riding my bike home, a motorcycle on my right side hit me very hard. I was thrown far from my bike and I blacked out. When I woke up, I saw many people standing around me, and the wooden bar I had been holding in my hand was broken in half. The motorcycle driver was shocked, and insisted on taking me to the hospital. My mother, who is a Falun Dafa practitioner, rushed over. Two relatives of the driver came over as well, and one of them told my mother, "I only have 500 Yuan in my pocket." My mom said, "I won't take your money." People all said that I should be taken to the hospital. My mother looked at me and said, "If you are a Falun Dafa practitioner, ride your bike home yourself." I then rode back home. Another one of the relatives of the motorcycle driver is a police officer in our village. He used to be hostile towards Falun Dafa. When he witnessed this, he shouted loudly, "Long live Falun Dafa!"
