(Clearwisdom.net) When I put my consummation as first priority, I always want to see Fa principles of higher and higher levels while studying the Fa. Because of this mentality, I am unable to maintain a calm mind when sending forth righteous thoughts, as if was trying to fulfill a task. When I clarified the truth, I had a strong attachment to achieving good results, forcing someone to change, and enriching my own world. Looking at my self overall, I study the Fa, send forth righteous thoughts, and clarify the truth with the concern of whether I can catch up with the Fa-rectification process.
I also have the mindset of showing off and competitiveness, trying to display among practitioners that my idea is good and I have good enlightenment in the Fa. In this way, however, I cannot really get any good result, and my attachment is strengthened.
The mindset is similar to taking a college entrance exam. I could be admitted to a prestigious major college as long as I do better than others. If I think that I can reach consummation and establish mighty virtue by doing a certain amount of Dafa work, isn't it just like a person who thinks he can achieve Buddhahood by building a certain number of temples?
However, when I put saving sentient beings as first priority, I know I have to clarify the truth with a pure heart. Otherwise, people will not be able to take in what I say. Therefore, I have to rectify myself constantly. I know that if I cultivate myself well, there will be great power in my words. In this way, I do not have the attachment of pursuit in Fa-study. Sending forth righteous thoughts is to eliminate the interference of the evil. When with practitioners, I know that I should think from the point of view that we are here to save sentient beings together. Then the unnecessary attachments of jealousy, competitiveness, and fussiness do not become issues to me any more. Since we have the same goal, we are able to make up what's lacking. I feel that as long as the mindset is changed, everything becomes smooth again.
In fact, the Fa is fair to all sentient beings. Only when one can get rid of the attachments and meet the standards of the Fa, can one be really reaching higher realms.
