(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yoko Kaneko, now living in Japan, was illegally arrested and detained at the Beijing Women's Labor Camp by Jiang's followers because she clarified the truth of Falun Gong in China. Thanks to Falun Gong practitioners in Japan and overseas clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa and the persecution to Japanese people from all walks of life, and to various rescue efforts, as well as help from kindhearted people in Japan who have a sense of justice, she was able to return to Japan alive a short time ago. To express appreciation to people from all communities who have showed concern and helped with her rescue, as well as to expose the inhuman tortures she suffered during the one and a half years of detention, on the morning of May 23, 2004 the Falun Gong "Rescue Our Family Members Committee," Kansai Branch, hosted the seminar about Ms. Yoko Kaneko.

During the seminar, in addition to Ms. Yoko Kaneko, three other Falun Gong practitioners talked about the persecution that they and their practitioner family members suffered, and called for the Japanese people to show concern and help rescue the family members still illegally detained in China.
In Yoko Kaneko's speech, she first thanked the kindhearted and just Japanese people who had helped with her rescue. Then she exposed the inhumane tortures she suffered during the illegal detention. In her speech, she said that police tied her arms and legs, and kept her in the same position for three consecutive days and nights, causing her extreme pain. She also mentioned that she could often hear sad and shrill, pitiful yells of female Falun Gong practitioners being severely tortured at night. At times, after she had just spoken to a practitioner one day, the next day she would hear that a woman had died of torture. A 19-year-old female practitioner suffered a mental collapse after being inhumanely sexually abused by the labor camp authorities. The audience expressed that, after attending the seminar, they were very sympathetic to the Falun Gong practitioners in China who are suffering such brutal persecution, and they were also shocked at such cruel behavior by the Chinese government.
Many audience members shed tears for the suffering of Falun Gong practitioners in China. One reporter couldn't stop crying while listening to the reports.
Toward the end of the seminar, two practitioners discussed the brutal persecution their family members have suffered in China. One of them was Ms. Wu Lili, who spoke to representatives from every country at the 12th World Congress of Psychiatry held in Yokohama in 2002, and exposed the brutal torture against her elder sister by Jiang's regime. Ms. Wu's sister is Wu Xiaohua, associate professor at Anhui Province Construction Engineering College. She was illegally detained because she went to Beijing to appeal, and was later forcibly sent to a mental hospital and subjected to all kinds of torture. Ms. Wu also showed her sister's pictures after the torture. It can be seen that sending a healthy person, who is also a university professor, into a mental hospital, is the reality behind the facade of the so-called "best human rights period of China."
Driven by Jiang's policy of persecuting Falun Gong, many Chinese police have complete disregard for human life. Many audience members expressed their indignation against the barbarous acts of Chinese police.
In the afternoon, Falun Gong practitioners from Kinki held a signature drive to "Bring Jiang to Justice" at the busy Umeda area in Osaka.
Practitioners held large torture-scene photos of Falun Gong practitioners in China, as well as banners calling for bringing Jiang to justice. Ms. Yoko Kaneko held a microphone and gave a speech telling people her first-hand story, and exposing Jiang's brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. Other Falun Gong practitioners distributed truth-clarification materials to civilians. Many people accepted the materials and started reading them right away. Many others asked for the materials upon seeing the photos. Many people signed the petition for bringing Jiang to justice after seeing the large torture-scene photos.
