(Clearwisdom.net) From May 15 to 16, Falun Gong practitioners from Rochester, Buffalo, and Syracuse participated in the annual Lilac Festival Market in Rochester, New York, to spread Falun Gong and to clarify the truth of the persecution, as well as to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day. The Market was held at Height Park, which is famous for its violet lilacs in the springtime. Practitioners have participated in this event for the past four years.
Practitioners took turns demonstrating the Falun Gong exercises, distributing flyers and clarifying the facts about the persecution. Many tourists stopped to observe the exercise demonstrations and were especially impressed by the serenity and elegance of the fifth exercise. A large number of visitors inquired about how and where to learn Falun Gong. Some asked practitioners to teach them right away, and asked for information about local practice sites. Many tourists had heard about the persecution of Falun Gong in China from media reports, and expressed their indignation at the persecution. There were also many tourists who had never heard about Falun Gong. Besides spreading the Falun Gong exercises and the principles of Falun Dafa, practitioners also introduced the facts of the Jiang regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Hopefully, visitors will share the truth of Falun Gong with their relatives and friends. The entire supply of truth-clarifying newspapers and local Falun Gong information brochures were given away by the afternoon of May 16.
