(Clearwisdom.net) In order to celebrate the 12th Anniversary of Falun Dafa's introduction to the public, about 3,000 Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) practitioners in Taiwan gathered at the Kaohsiung Culture Center on May 9, 2004 to hold a series of celebration activities.

The "Journey of Falun Dafa" photo exhibit was held for two days in the main hall of the Kaohsiung Culture Center. It displayed 130 photos, attracting many people. Once they learned about the truth of Falun Dafa, they took the initiative to request introductory information and asked many questions about Falun Gong.
The themes of the exhibit were as follows:
- Historical testimony: Since Falun Gong was introduced to the public in 1992 in China, Falun Gong won people's appreciation and received support from the government.
- Falun Gong has been spread worldwide to more than 60 countries, and won 1,223 proclamations and awards.
- The April 25 Zhongnanhai Incident--in 1999 Falun Gong practitioners peacefully appealed to the government, according to the rights endowed by the Chinese Constitution.
- Since 1999, Jiang's group has brutally suppressed and persecuted Falun Gong.
- Falun Gong practitioners around the world call for an end to the persecution in a peaceful and rational manner.
- Several lawsuits against Jiang Zemin and some other lawless officials have been filed in many countries.
The systematic and orderly arrangement of the photographs enabled visitors to see clearly the irrational and ridiculous nature of the brutal persecution that has occurred on the Mainland.
An elderly man who was born in Sichuan Province carefully looked at the contents of the photo display, and then sat on the stage with a serious look. He said emotionally that he had been back to Sichuan numerous times and he has four younger brothers and three younger sisters there. Before, there were many people practicing Falun Gong, but they do not have freedom to practice it right now. China is unlike Taiwan where people have basic freedom of belief and human rights. The persecution of Falun Gong reminded him of the catastrophes during the Great Cultural Revolution. He said that Falun Gong is good for people's physical and mental health, and that he noticed more and more Taiwanese people practicing Falun Gong. He sincerely hoped that the tragedy on the Mainland could be ended soon. He also said with a smile that Falun Gong's activities are lively and full of meaning, and that he would attend the concert that night.
A large model of Falun Dafa's principal book, Zhuan Falun, was displayed in the center. Many people curiously asked about the contents of the book. After the practitioners' explanation, they learned that Falun Gong is a cultivation way of both mind and body, that takes Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance as the guiding principle. Many people showed an interest and asked where they could buy the book.
A middle-aged woman said excitedly, "I have wanted to practice the exercises, but didn't know how to find out where; it's so great that I can come across this photo exhibit. You should hold more similar activities." The practitioners explained the facts about Falun Gong to her, such as, more than 300 thousand people in Taiwan are practicing Falun Gong, millions of people from more than 60 countries are also practicing it, many Westerners also practice, the book Zhuan Falun has been translated into more than 20 languages, and Falun Gong has won support and understanding in many countries. After listening to the practitioners' explanation, the woman said, "I'll come to practice the exercises tomorrow."
Many people learned of Jiang's group's brutality from reading the torture death cases of Falun Gong practitioners. They shook their heads and said, "Inconceivable. People don't have freedom of belief in Mainland China." An elderly man said with emotion, "Jiang is so cruel, even crueler than the leaders of the Great Cultural Revolution; he is so inhumane."
As for the many global lawsuits against Jiang, Luo and their accomplices on charges of torture, genocide and crimes against humanity in the US, Germany, Belgium, France, Spain, Korea and Taiwan, a young man said, "I admire your courage." He also expressed concern about whether the lawsuits against Jiang would be successful. The practitioner told him, "Falun Gong practitioners have been resisting the persecution in a peaceful and rational manner for five years. I believe Jiang has already been put on trial in the courts of conscience and morality." The young man nodded in consent.
One couple attended the activity along with their family members who practice Falun Gong. They said with a smile that their family members had become healthier after practicing Falun Gong, and the atmosphere at home is accordingly better. After looking carefully at those photos, they were clearer about Falun Gong's wonderfulness and effectiveness in upgrading people's morality, so they decided to practice Falun Gong.
At a corner of the exhibition site, an engineer was learning from a practitioner how to sit in the meditation position. He explained why he and his wife had come to attend the activity: his wife began practicing Falun Gong one year ago. She used to have heart disease and would always have to rush to the hospital for emergency treatment if the heart pains occurred. Now, she has become completely cured. He was amazed at the miraculous effect of Falun Gong, so he too began to learn. However, he had been afraid to fold his legs in the full lotus position. After the practitioner's demonstration, he expressed that he was confident enough to do well after returning home.
During the two days of the exhibition, many people accepted truth clarification flyers or bookmarks from Falun Gong practitioners. They smiled and said happily, "Falun Dafa is good." More and more people are learning the practice of Falun Gong, and thus have become healthy both physically and mentally. In this way, the whole society becomes harmonious. The Taiwanese people are indeed fortunate. However, in Mainland China, Jiang and his followers have fabricated lies and spread rumors in an unprecedented way. They have misled many innocent people and have created misfortune for tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners. What a contrast!
