(Clearwisdom.net) Since July 1999 (when the persecution of Falun Gong began officially), government officers in Wenling City have unlawfully sent Falun Dafa practitioners, people who follow the principles of "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance", to forced labor camps. Below is a partial list of jailed Falun Gong practitioners.
Ms. Wu Misu, born in 1966, is from Ximen Street, Xinhe Town, Wenling City, Zhejiang Province. At the end of December 1999, she was detained at Wenling Detention Center for practicing Falun Gong with a group in a park. After one month of detention, she was transferred to a hotel used as temporary detention center in Xinhe Town for half a year. In 2001, she was sentenced to two years of forced labor for distributing truth-clarifying materials.
Ms. Guo Jiaohong, born in 1964, is from Xinhe Town, Wenling City, Zhejiang Province. She was detained at Wenling Detention Center for one month for practicing Falun Gong with a group in a park. Later, she was compelled to pay 5,000 yuan extortion money to officials. In January 2001, she was sentenced to two years of forced labor for distributing truth-clarifying materials.
Mr. Yu Lixin, born in 1966, is from Nanqian Street, Xinhe Town, Wenling City, Zhejiang Province. At the end of December 1999, he was held in custody for practicing Falun Gong with a group in a park. Then he was transferred to a hotel used as temporary detention center in Xinhe Town for half a year. In January 2001, he went to Beijing to appeal for the rights of Falun Gong and was again taken to the Wenling Detention Center where he went on a hunger strike in protest. Consequently, two directors of the detention center force-fed him. They pried open his teeth with a sharpened bamboo stick. In the process, his mouth was wounded and filled with blood and his face was severely bruised and swollen. Later, he was taken to a hospital. Finally, without informing his family members, officials secretly sent him to Shiliping Forced Labor Camp.
Ms. Wang Lijun, 34 years old, is from Baicuiju of Taiping Town, Wenling City. At the end of 1999, she was detained for five month for going to Beijing to appeal. In July 2000, she was illegally sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor. In 2001, after she went to Beijing again to validate Dafa, she was again sentenced to three years of forced labor.
Mr. Han Ping, 35 years old, is from Taipingju of Taiping Town, Wenling City. At the end of 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and was sentenced to one year of forced labor. After his release, he was once again sentenced to two years of forced labor for helping new practitioners learn the exercises and listen to Teacher's lectures.
Ms. Pan Sujuan, 33 years old, is from Linzhou Town. In 1999, she was detained for one month and forced to pay10,000 yuan [equal to one and a half years' income for a laborer in China] in extortion money. In 2001, she was unjustly sentenced to three years of forced labor for distributing truth-clarifying materials.
Mr. Liang Yunlian, is an employee of Changyu Sailing Administration Station. He started to practice Falun Gong in 1998. Five illnesses that had troubled him for many years disappeared soon after he learned Falun Gong. In 2000, he was illegally detained over two months. In October 2000, he was sentenced to two years of forced labor for distributing truth-clarifying materials.
Mr. Zhao Linbin, 36 years old, is from Baibi Village, Wenqiao Town of Wenling City. In 2000, he was detained for four months. In 2001, Sun Jianhua from the Politics & Security Section arrested him again. He was then sentenced to three years of forced labor.
Mr. Lin Huizhi, in his sixties, is from Beishan Village, Taiping Town of Wenling City. He was sentenced to two years of forced labor for not revealing his source of truth-clarifying materials.
Other cases include: Guo Xiaobo (gender unknown), in his/her sixties, has been taken to brainwashing centers twice. Other practitioners detained at the brainwashing center include: Li Lifu, Lin Weiguo, Meiju, Deng Xian, Jiaoyun, Guo Caixia, Juior Su, Zhao Yulan, Han Fugeng, Lin Guilian, Zhang Minzhi, Qingbo, Ding Ruzhen, Li Minna, Chen Hua and Xia Gui.
