(Clearwisdom.net) It often moves me when practitioners I know who have no place to stay talk about how they validate the Fa and clarify the truth. Because of the persecution, they couldn't go home and lost their jobs. Even under this kind of difficulty, more than ten people tried to live and eat together, study the Fa and send righteous thoughts. In order to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to the people, they overcame all kinds of difficulties to buy equipment and make banners, VCDs, and tapes. Together with practitioners in my area, we sent out truth-clarifying materials to every corner in the area. Later, the police destroyed 10,000 yuan* worth of equipment and kidnapped those practitioners.
One of them is a young male practitioner in his 30s who obtained the Fa a few days before April 25 in 1999. With firm determination, he walked the path of cultivation to validate Fa and did a lot of Dafa work. He studied Fa seriously, was very careful and reliable when making truth-clarifying materials, and was able to react to situations quickly and intelligently while distributing the truth-clarifying materials. He could hang up a lot of banners in high places in a relatively short time. One night, he hung more than 30 banners about three stories high, and his arms were swollen after his efforts. He went to the center of the city, an intersection with lots of people and police patrolling. There, he hung up a banner at the highest, most eye-catching spot on a utility pole. The police couldn't see him, and he safely hid in the crowd.
He used to have a very good job with a high salary. Because the police were looking for him everywhere, he lost his job. He used his savings and continued to participate in validating the Fa, buying equipment, and setting up an information station. Whenever he learned that there was someone needing money or other goods, he sent it to that person. When he delivered materials in extremely hot weather, he would not allow himself even some ice cream to cool down. But, he sent money and necessities when other practitioners had difficulties.
Whenever there was a holiday, he never forgot to send chicken, meat, and eggs as presents to the families of those practitioners illegally imprisoned in the labor camps that are in financial trouble. He would leave 200 yuan before he left. When I asked him about this, he just laughed and said that that was what he should do because we were Teacher's students and should work together as one body. When the word "Teacher" came up, he said respectfully and seriously, "It was Teacher and Dafa that rectified and changed my ill behaviors in the past." Before he practiced, he used to smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol and gamble. He never held back when he got into a fight. Practicing Dafa changed all of these things. His mother said, "This Dafa is amazing. I can't believe that my son has become a different person after practicing Falun Gong. Things are going so great." This young practitioner told everyone he met that he was so lucky that he'd found the Fa, and that he must persist on practicing, help Teacher rectify the Fa and be a genuine practitioner.
The police were looking for him everywhere after 2002. His and his relatives' homes were ransacked by the police. Eventually he had nowhere to stay. He had to find a hostel and lived there for a few days. But, he could only stay from midnight until three in the morning. He had to stay out on the street early in the morning. It was not safe and he could not study the Fa and do the exercises anymore.
I wanted to take him home when I learned about his situation. However, a practitioner used to stay in my home and was reported while clarifying the truth, and later kidnapped. My family was scared and insisted that I not take in other practitioners. I was thinking that because I did not take care of the environment at home, now I couldn't even provide my homeless practitioner a place to stay. I felt very badly. That young practitioner was very understanding and said, "Your family is not against Dafa. Don't let them have bad thoughts against Dafa because of this. They are also sentient beings we need to save."
I personally experienced how difficult it is to be homeless. In 2000, some other practitioners and I went to Beijing to clarify the truth. We did not have safe place to stay. We walked around the whole day and passed out materials. Our toenails blackened and fell off and our feet were full of blisters because of the non-stop walk over so many days. I wanted very much just to have a place to rest. I could understand how difficult it is to be homeless.
In a bitter cold winter in 2001, to avoid being arrested by the police, a homeless practitioner had to sleep on the snow-covered ground for a night. The snow melted around him. Another practitioner did not have any place to hide and had to live on the street in the winter. One day he delivered truth-clarifying materials for the whole night, and in the morning, one of his ears had suffered severe frostbite. In this difficult environment, homeless practitioners give everything they have and completely devote themselves to the current of Fa rectification. They cannot eat and sleep on a regular basis. Sometimes, when they get busy, they only eat once a day and barely sleep. After July 20, 1999, we have made and sent out more than 7,000 VCDs exposing Jiang's crimes. It has the effect of shocking and scaring the evil.
I sincerely hope that the homeless practitioners can conquer the difficulties in their everyday life, and at the same time, do even better with righteous thoughts and conduct.
