The group leader was left without any arguments. Every day when the prison employees and their collaborators tried to "transform" her [force her to renounce Falun Gong], Li Zhen always asked, "What do you guys want to transform me into? Do you want to turn me back into a thief again?"
In fact, Ms. Li Zhen had tried many time to start over with a clean slate. Before she began practicing Falun Gong, she even cut off one of her fingers, causing her great pain, to show her determination to correct her erroneous ways; but she failed to come through.
