1. [Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Couple Qu Dehong and Zhang Yongli Arrested

Mr. Qu Denghong, 40 years old, is a practitioner from Yongxin Village in Yong'an Town. The night of October 27, 2004, policemen Yu Hongjun and Cui Guangri from the National Security Team arrested him from home. The police dispatched three cars and twelve personnel. They locked Qu Denghong in the trunk of a car and took him away. After arriving at the police department, police beat Qu Dehong overnight with a rubber tube filled with cement until the cement smashed. Qu Dehong's wife Zhang Yongli was arrested at the same time. She was released the next day.

After July 20, 1999, Qu Dehong and Zhang Yongli, along with several other practitioners, organized a Falun Dafa press conference held in Beijing for Chinese and foreign reporters. Along with several thousand other practitioners they also signed a letter addressed to UN Secretary Kofi Annan. The letter fell into the hands of Jiang's regime, and Zhang Yongli was later sentenced to six months of imprisonment. Qu Dehong was sentenced to four years of imprisonment at Harbin City's Prison. He was not released until 2003.

2. [Gucheng County, Hebei Province] Wang Bin Arrested

At around 3:00 p.m. on November 18, 2004, policemen Zhai Hongjun and Shao Li arrested practitioner Mr. Wang Bin (also known as Wang Yingyang) while he was at work in the Industrial Area in Maoshi Village, Gucheng County. In addition, police from Cangzhou City, Hengshui City and Gucheng County collaborated with each other to continue searching for Wang Bin's wife Chen Junying, who is also a practitioner.

3. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Xu Fenglian Arrested for Clarifying the Truth

On November 16, 2004, personnel from the Tiexi Police Station arrested practitioner Ms. Xu Fenglian while she was clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to people near the Tank Repair Factory. Her home was ransacked and her family had over 10,000 yuan in cash extorted from them. There was no legal procedure followed whatsoever. At present Xu Fenglian's whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Tianjin] Lin Chunfang Cruelly Tortured While in Police Custody for Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials

During the afternoon of November 16, 2004, policeman Zhao Baogang from Xianshuigu Town arrested practitioner Ms. Lin Chunfang while she was distributing Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials. Only one day later Lin Chunfang was near death after the police had cruelly tortured her. The police then sent Lin Chunfang to the emergency room in Xianshuigu Town's Hospital for observation. We have heard that' Lin Chunfang is clinging to life by a thread. Policemen have surrounded the hospital.

6. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Zhang Guohai Again Put into Detention Center After being Released from a Brainwashing Class

Practitioner Zhang Guohai's work unit collaborated with the authorities to send Zhang Guohai to a brainwashing class by paying 5,000 yuan. Shortly after Zhang Guohai was released, they put him into Jiamusi City's Detention Center. To date Zhang Guohai is still in detention.

7. [Zhongxiang City, Hubei Province] Guo Guilan is Put into a Brainwashing Class

On September 8, 2004, local police and personnel from the 610 Office arrested practitioner Ms. Guo Guilan from Zhongxiang City at home while her husband was away accompanying their daughter to university. They put Guo Guilan into Jingmen City's Brainwashing Class. On October 2, Guo Guilan escaped from the place with the power of her righteous thoughts. In order to find her, local police visited all her relatives but didn't succeed. The night of October 24 they threatened Guo Guilan's husband in their attempts to find her, saying otherwise they would bring back their daughter who had just gone to university in Wuhan City. When they had located her, they attempted to force Guo Guilan to write something against her will, but she refused. Over a dozen people from the street administrative committee, the police station, the police department, the government, and the 610 Office were involved in arresting Guo Guilan and sending her to a brainwashing class in Wuhan City. The authorities refused to let her family members know her whereabouts and have prohibited them from visiting Guo Guilan.

8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Huang Shiwen from Wuhan University Arrested

Police arrested Mr. Huang Shiwen, former Wuhan University instructor, in the middle of November 2003 when he was at work at the Jingxun Technology Company. This company is located in the former Baime Industrial Zone in Nanling, Buji Town, the Longgang District, Shenzhen City. He is now being held in a forced labor camp in the Nanshan District in Shenzhen City. We have heard that Huang Shiwen was on a hunger strike for about six months after his arrest and has endured all kinds of tortures.

9. [Tuquan County, Xing'an Prefecture, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Liu Zhanyu's Whole Family Held and Tortured, Except for Ill Wife

On November 11, 2004, Mr. Liu Fuming was arrested by personnel from Tuquan County's Police Department who collaborated with Yingkou City's Police Department in Liaoning Province. Also involved were some policemen from the National Security Team in the Bayuquan District. The arrest occurred when the practitioner was driving his pedicab in the street. He was then taken back to Wulanhot City's Xing'an Prefecture and put into a brainwashing class. Around noontime, Liu Fuming's father Liu Zhanyu was notified to pick up the pedicab at the Municipal Administration Team in the Bayuquan District. Once he got there, Liu Zhanyu was also arrested. The police then escorted Liu Zhanyu back home to get his ID and the family's permanent residence booklet. There they arrested Liu Zhanyu's oldest son Liu Fuli, also a practitioner, ransacked his home, and confiscated many Falun Dafa books. They even wanted to take Liu Zhanyu's wife along with them. Liu Zhanyu told them that his wife was sick, so they didn't take her. After 5:00 p.m., Liu Fuli was released, but Liu Zhanyu is now in Bayuquan District's Detention Center.

Liu Zhanyu's family had just been reunited. Liu Zhanyu had been incarcerated for thirteen months in the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp in the Zhalaite Banner of Xing'an Prefecture. His oldest son Liu Fuli and his second son Liu Fuming were imprisoned for three years at the Bao'anzhao Prison in the Zhalaite Banner of Xing'an Prefecture. They had been tortured and still had wounds all over their bodies. They were released just a month ago. His third son Liu Fuzhong was held for a year and a half at Benxi City's Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province. He was tortured so badly that he had a nervous breakdown. His wife Zhang Wenling was incarcerated for two years at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province.

10. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Wang Qiangji Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor for Distributing Falun Gong Truth-Clarifying Materials

Personnel from the Yaoshan Police Station arrested Wang Qiangji when he was distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials at Tianfuyuan in the Tianqiao District of Jinan City on October 13, 2004. He was sentenced to one year of forced labor. Wang now is being held in Wang Village Forced Labor Camp.

11. [Wei County, Hebei Province] Gong Hua Arrested

For practicing Falun Gong, Ms. Gong Hua, an employee of Wei County's Printing Factory, was forced to leave home and has lived in exile since July 2001, three years ago. In April 2004, a police officer named Wang from the Political & Security Section of Wei County's Police Department told Gong Hua's husband Zhao Fuyi, "Go find your wife and ask her to come home. It's over." In order to find his wife as soon as possible, Zhao Fuyi asked trusted acquaintances and old friends to help look for her. Finally the three family members got together and lived a normal life.

But nobody could have known that police officer Wang and other police authorities had assigned special agents to follow Gong Hua. At 8:30 on November 19, as Gong Hua was on her way to visit a patient at the home of Xiao Qiao, who works for the County's Hospital, she was arrested by Shao Jie and another person from the Allied Security Team and was taken to Wei County's Detention Center.

12. [Heilongjiang Province] Many Practitioners from Jixi City, Jidong County and Mishan City Arrested

Since the end of November, over twenty (the number's not complete) Falun Gong practitioners from Jixi City, Jidong County, Mishan City have been arrested. Below are the names of practitioners we know about:

Jixin City: Mr. and Mrs. Zhang Yuezeng and Ms. Sun Jinkui

Yongan Area of Jidong County: Sun Yintang and Qu Dehong

8510 Farm: Mr. and Mrs. Li Chongjun and Chen Hong

Donghai Mine: Gu Aimin, Zhang Caihong, Liu Haiqiu, and Li Yueqin

Mishan City: Xing Defu

Most of the arrested practitioners had something to do with a Falun Dafa truth clarification materials production center. They have suffered severe torture.

13. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] High School Teacher Song Qingxian and Son Arrested

It has been confirmed that during the afternoon of November 2, 2004, Wang Yongguang, Liu Weibin and others from the National Security Team, and personnel from Laizhou City's Police Department arrested Mr. Song Qingxian, a teacher at Guojiadian High School in Laizhou City, and his son Song Yun at home 'and were put into Laizhou City's Detention Center for 15 days for reasons of "public security." They were supposed to be released on November 17, but Song Guoyu, principal of Guojiadian High School, colluded with policemen Wang Yongguang and Liu Weibin to hold the father and the son 15 more days, claiming that Song Qingxian promoted Falun Gong at school. The Songs (father and son) refused to sign a document admitting to the charge. Wang Yongguang and Liu Weibin then beat up and threatened them. Although the father and son are being held in Laizhou City's Detention Center beyond their term, their family 'has not been notified.

Song Qingxian's wife Ye Guofeng left home to avoid further persecution. When she returned home on November 15, Wang Yongguang and Liu Weibin led some policemen to arrest her. Now she is being held in Laizhou City's Detention Center.

14. [Ziyang City, Sichuan Province] Wen Baiduan Arrested for Distributing Falun Gong Truth-Clarifying Material to Students

Recently, some teachers and the principal observed Wen Baiduan from Ziyang City distributing Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials to students at school. The school authorities duped Wen Baiduan into going to the District Education Committee, saying they were having a meeting. Authorities arrested Wen Baiduan there.

15. [Beijing] Li Yuehua Was Arrested for Distributing Falun Gong Truth-Clarifying Materials

Ms. Li Yuehua lives in the Yongtaixili Residential Area of Xisanqi in Beijing and is a retired teacher from Beijing's No. 20 High School. She was held in the Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp. During the evening of September 20, 2004, Li Yuehua was arrested at home for distributing Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials. Police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books and truth clarification materials. Li Yuehua was put into Haidian District's Detention Center.

16. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Liu Fengqin Force-Fed by Police When on a Hunger Strike and Persecution Facts about Sun Yunjie, Zhou Guiqin and Li Ming

After the information that the former director of the Dalu Police Station, under the jurisdiction of Hegang City's Police Department in Heilongjiang Province, died of retribution for persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners was exposed on the Internet, police station personnel suspected that it was Ms. Liu Fengqin who posted it on the Internet after her release from a forced labor camp. They secretly assigned the street administration committee head to follow Liu Fengqin. At midnight on November 6, the police authorities arrested Liu Fengqin and her daughter. Her daughter was released because she had some severe symptoms of illness after being held for 24 hours. Liu Fengqin was put into Hegang City's No. 2 Detention Center. Liu Fengqin went on a hunger strike to protest her unlawful arrest, but the police force-fed her.

Ms. Sun Yunjie from Hegang City has been put into prison twice just for practicing Falun Gong. She has been sentenced to four years of imprisonment. Her husband Guo Jinggang had just lost his job. Her son Guo Weifeng is only ten years old and is in the No. 1 class of the third grade at Dongfanghong Township's elementary school. The family is so poor that they can barely afford to pay their son's tuition.

Ms. Zhou Guiqin from Hegang City was arrested for the third time in 2002 and has not yet been released. Her husband passed away over eight years ago, leaving two children. The older daughter Li Jinfeng, 17 years old, is in the No. 7 class of the twelfth grade at Yucai High School in Hegang City. Their younger son Li Daopeng was in the No. 5 class of the eighth grade at the No. 10 High School. He left school last year due to financial problems. Now the two teenagers live in their maternal grandfather's home.

Li Ming, 16 years old now, lives at Group 1,41st Committee on Fangxiu Street, Xinyi Mine in the Dongshan District of Hegang City. He is a pupil the No. 2 class of the ninth grade at Xinyi High School. His father passed away. His mother Wang Zhongqing was sentenced to five years of imprisonment only because she practices Falun Gong. Now his paternal grandparents are taking care of Li Ming. They are living a very difficult life.
