Facts of the Persecution
1. Falun Dafa practitioners, Mr. Luo Laihua, Mr. Zhao Peng, and Mr. Lei Guoting Are Tortured
On the evening of March 2, 2004, at 11 p.m., police from the Xiaohe Substation and the Guizhou Provincial Mining Machinery Substation abducted employees who practice Falun Dafa. They included Luo Laihua, Mr. Zhao Peng and Mr. Lei Guoting. More than ten policemen beat the three practitioners. Mr. Zhao Peng suffered a broken skull from a pistol grip, and Mr. Lei Guoting's eyeglasses were broken. Two days later, the three were secretly sent to the Lannigou Detention Center, located in Guiyang City, where they went through numerous tortures. Police handcuffed Mr. Zhao Peng's hands and feet to a metal stool, which deeply cut into his wrists. His wrists have not yet recovered. In April 2004, all three practitioners were sentenced to three years at the Provincial Zhongba Labor Camp. Upon arriving there, Mr. Zhao Peng was locked in solitary confinement for one month. Police instructed four drug addicts to prevent Mr. Zhao from sleeping. Some fellow practitioners who hade just been released from the camp said they heard Mr. Lei Guoting being beaten in a small room. At one point, Mr. Lei Guoting escaped, but was chased down by the guards and beaten in the yard. He is currently suffering around - the - clock persecution .
2. Sixty-Four Year Old Falun Dafa Practitioner, Gao Guangchong Has Been Arrested Nine Times
From July 20, 1999 to November 3, 2003, sixty-four-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner, Mr. Gao Guangchong, who lives in Jiubang Village, Guoyuan Township, Huili County, Sichuan Province, was detained nine times by police from the Huili County or Panzhihua City police stations. His total time in detention was around eighteen months. During the same time period, police from the Huili County Station went to his home to harass him and ransack his place more than thirty times, confiscating Falun Dafa books and tapes, a stereo, and 6,280 yuan (1) in cash.
3. Exposing the Persecutors in Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province
My name is Xu Dequn, and I live at Thirteen Team Housing in Shabei Village, Jiulong Town, Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province. I am a Falun Dafa practitioner, and am fifty-four years old. In June 2001, my daughter, Chen Fang and I were arrested by the town government when posting Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials, and detained in the Jiulong Town Government Office. The Political and Judiciary Committee and the "610 Office" Chair Zhang Yuehai, and others, took turns beating my daughter. They threatened her with a gun pressed against her chest asking her, "Still practice Falun Gong?" Later they hung her up by the handcuffs on a tree for two whole days. Four days later, we were both sent to the Pengzhou City Detention Center and held there for thirty-six days. In November 2001, I went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Dafa and was arrested, and sent back to the Pengzhou Detention Center for another month. The police constantly harassed me after I was released home. At midnight on July 30, 2002, police stormed into my house, arrested my daughter and me, and locked us in a detention center that the "610 Office" rented to specifically hold Falun Dafa practitioners. During more than 200 days of detention there, we frequently went on hunger strikes and were sent to mental hospitals, where they injected nerve - damaging drugs into us. After I was released from the mental hospital, I was so thin that I was only skin and bones. I could not walk, but despite my condition they still fined me 300 yuan before they released me to go home.
4. Prohibited from Traveling Abroad Because Family Members Practice Falun Dafa
My name is Li Huijun, and I live in the Western Suburban area of Xi-an City, Shaanxi Province. My parents, two sisters, and brother all live in Canada or the United States. I have not visited them for many years. My mother was sick with a very unusual skin disease at the end of 2003, and I wanted to visit her. The Police Substation would not issue me a passport. I didn't understand the situation, so I thoroughly investigated what was going on, and discovered that it is because my husband, mother-in-law, and my husband's aunt (Ma Yunhua, still detained in a provincial women's prison) are all Falun Dafa practitioners. The fact is that there is no law that states that family members of Falun Dafa practitioners are not allowed to travel overseas. I hope that all levels of government and kindhearted people will help me!
