1. [Shiyan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Liu Wenguo from Dongfeng Real Estate Company Is Arrested
Mr. Liu Wenguo, 55 years old, is a Falun Dafa practitioner. People from the Security Section of Dongfeng Real Estate Company keep going to his home and harassing him. On October 22, 2004, Chen, He (Party Secretary), Li (Party Secretary) and about eight clerks from the Security Section came to Liu's home under the pretext of expressing sympathy and solicitude. Liu Wenguo greeted them and let them enter the room. After a short while somebody knocked at the door, saying that they were from the Property Management. Someone in the room opened the door. When three plainclothes policemen rushed in, all people in the room stood up. Liu's son rushed out of his bedroom, closed the door and said, "You are not allowed to take my father with you." Two plainclothes policemen stopped Liu's son. All the other people in the room dragged Liu out and down the stairs to a vehicle parked outside the building. At the time, Liu Wenguo did not even have time to change to his outdoor shoes.
When his family members found out the news, they went to his work unit and asked for him. However, nobody in the company received them. Around eleven o'clock, Liu Wenguo managed to call home from a phone on a train, saying that he was being sent to Wuhan Brainwashing Class.
Ms. Wang Suxiu, another practitioner, was also illegally sent to Wuhan Brainwashing Class.
2. [Shashi, Hubei Province] Practitioner Ms. Li Lian Is Detained
On July 5, 2004, Ms. Li Lian was distributing truth-clarifying materials at Hongcheng Commercial Harbor in Shashi. Zhao Yeping, head of the Hongcheng Security Team, and Fu Shijun, a policeman from the Hongcheng Office of Shengli Police Substation, abducted her. They drove a white minivan with a plate number: Hubei A96967. Li Lian was sent to Section One, where she was subjected to both physical and spiritual torture. After several days of persecution, she did not yield to the perpetrators. In the end, the police kept her in custody in the Shashi Detention Center, where she was tortured until September 23. Then Yang Jianong, head of the local "610 Office," unlawfully sent her to Shayang Forced Labor Camp. She is being tortured in Team Nine of the labor camp.

3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ding Zhenfang Is Unable to Walk Due to Torture in Dalian Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Ding Zhenfang used to run Chunguang Bookstore. For selling Falun Dafa literature, she was illegally sentenced to three years in prison and detained in Dabei Prison. In November 2002, she was released.
In July 2003, Ding Zhenfang was arrested for a second time and detained in Dalian Detention Center. After 59 days on a hunger strike in protest, she was released on bail for medical treatment.
On October 19, 2004, Ding was reported while explaining the truth of Falun Dafa on a bus. She was arrested and has been detained in Dalian Forced Labor Camp (phone number: 86-411-86859961 ext. 400) for over two months. She was confined in a solitary compartment over one month and was made to stand for a long time because she refused to be transformed. Due to the persecution, one of her legs has become lame. It is so swollen that she is unable to walk.
4. [Chongqing City] Four Falun Dafa Practitioners Abducted
Four practitioners from Jiangjin including Zhao Quanbin and Xiao Xianqiong were arrested on October 22. Their current whereabouts are still unknown.
5. [Pingdingshan, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhou Ruixiang and Ms. Wang Shuxia Are Detained in Brainwashing Class
On October 15, 2004, Ms. Zhou Ruixiang and Ms. Wang Shuxia, two practitioners from Pingdingshan Town in Xinbin County, were abducted and illegally taken to a brainwashing class in Fushun City. Zhou Ruixiang was sent to Xinbin Detention Center about ten days before she was transferred to the brainwashing class. Later, she was released after they extorted 3000 yuan from her .

6. [Beijing City] Two Falun Dafa Practitioners' Whereabouts Are Unknown
Ms. Lei Ying, in her fifties, is a practitioner in the Haiding District of Beijing City. Since March 2004, when she was abducted at home, her whereabouts have remained unknown.
Police from the local police substation abducted Junior Ding, a practitioner from Nankou Town in the Changping Area of the Haiding District, in September 2004. Junior Ding's whereabouts are still unknown.
7. [Beijing City] Wife Detained in Forced Labor When Husband Dies, His Name Still Not Cleared of False Accusations
Mr. An Fentian and Mrs. Chen Haifeng from Beijing Chemical Industry College were a married couple. In early October, they were arrested for distributing truth-clarifying materials. Since Chen Haifeng had already been arrested and sentenced many times, the police sent her directly to a forced labor camp. Due to high blood pressure, An Fentian was released and was allowed to serve out his sentence outside of prison. On October 22, he passed away at the age of fifty-five.

8. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Deng Dongxiu Is Abducted
At around 4:00 p.m. on October 18, 2004, Ms. Deng Dongxiu was arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials and posting stickers with "Falun Dafa Is Good!" Her whereabouts remain unknown.
9. [Luancheng County, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Xiaoceng Is Arrested
Yang Zenghu from Duangan Village reported Mr. Zhang Xiaoceng from Xunyang Village in Qiema Township of Luancheng County for clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to people at a market. Police from Qiema Township Police Substation arrested him right away and searched his residence. They confiscated over a dozen Falun Dafa books without justification. Currently he is being detained somewhere in Luancheng County.

10. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liu Peizhen's Family Members Are Harassed After Her Escape From Persecution
On October 21, Ms. Liu Peizhen, in her sixties, from the Nanshan District of Shenzhen City, was reported on while explaining the truth of Falun Dafa to people around her. Policemen from the "610 Office" and the Police Substation in the Nanshan District unlawfully searched her home and confiscated her personal phone numbers, envelopes and stamps without justification. They continue to monitor all her family's phone calls and keep harassing her family members. As a result, her son-in-law dares not go home.

11. [Yulin City, Guangxi Province] Two Policemen Seriously Injure Mr. Zhang Wu
Around 5:00 a.m. on October 25, Zhang Wu from Yulin City was distributing truth-clarifying materials near the Yuchai Group. Two policemen illegally abducted him and beat him up, resulting in serious injury.
12. [Changyi City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Yumei Is Arrested
Ms. Sun Yumei, 36 years old, runs a kindergarten in Dayanjia Village, Puzhuang Town, Changyi City. She inspires children's compassion, following the principles of "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance." However, one child's parents reported on her. On October 10, 2004, local policemen abducted her. Chen Xiaodong, head of the "610 Office" in Changyi City, signed the documents for her illegal detention.
13. [Wucheng County, Shandong Province] Nine Falun Dafa Practitioners Are Illegally Sent to Forced Labor
On September 29, one day after the mid-Autumn Festival, policemen and staff from the "610 Office" in Wucheng County unlawfully sent nine practitioners, including Zhang Yaoxi, to the Wangchun Forced Labor Camp in Zibo City.

14. [Dashiqiao City, Liaoning Province] Two Falun Dafa Practitioners Detained
On October 20, 2004, Liu Qingyu from Dashiqiao City and another practitioner were reported on by two drug-addicts when they were taking a bus in Anshan City. Police arrested them and detained them in Dashiqiao Detention Center.
15. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Police from Luobai Public Security Branch Abduct Three Falun Dafa Practitioners
At around noon on October 22, 2004, four policemen from Luobai Public Security Branch in Kunming City, together with an unidentified man, broke into Ms. Duan Guilan's home in Longshan Mine, Wenquan Town, Anning City. They abducted Ms. Li Xuefen, Ms. Lu Junxia and Ms. Duan Guilan, all employees of Longshan Mine. They also confiscated Falun Dafa books and materials without justification. Currently the three practitioners' whereabouts are unknown.
16. [Qujing, Yunnan Province] Yan Jianmin Hunger Striking For Over Twenty Days
At around 9:00 p.m. on September 28, Qujing practitioners Yan Jianmin and Wang Jianhua, a married couple, went to see their son's new house. On their way home, policemen abducted and searched them. In the evening, their home was searched, too. Presently Yan Jianmin is being detained in Wang Jiashan Detention Center. Since October 1, Yan Jianmin has been on a hunger strike in protest and is now very weak.
17. [Huaiji, Guangdong Province] Chen Siguo Is Abducted
Chen Siguo and Chen Xing form Huaiji were arrested for distributing truth-clarifying materials on October 22. Before that, Chen Siguo was detained in Sanshui Forced Labor Camp from April 2000 to April 2003 and was held in the Zhaoqing Brainwashing Class in 2002. Chen Siguo had righteous thoughts and acted in an upright manner during the two detentions. This is the third time that Chen Siguo has been arrested.
18. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Chen Zongbao Is Abducted
Mr. Chen Zongbao, 30 years old, is an employee from a factory in Dingjialing Industrial District in Tonghe Village, Longgang Town of Shenzhen City. On the evening of October 10, policemen from Longgang Town Police Substation abducted him when he was posting truth-clarifying materials along the streets. They cruelly beat him up. Presently he is being detained in Longgang Town Detention Center.
19. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Jianzhen Is Detained in the Zichuan Detention Center
Mr. Zhang Jianzhen is from Wantou Village in Zihe Town of the Zichuan District. On September 16, 2004, on his way to a farmers' market, policemen from the local police substation and Zichuan Public Security Bureau abducted him. Later on, he was transferred to Zichuan Detention Center. On September 18, people from the local police substation and the Zichuan District Public Security Bureau searched his home without a warrent. Bian Gang, the political instructor of the local police substation, along with a policeman, twisted Mr. Zhang's wife's hands until they dislocated her elbows. Other policemen turned their house upside down, confiscating Falun Dafa books, Teacher's articles, and Teacher's photo. In the end, they took over 2000 yuan in cash that Zhang Jianzhen had borrowed for their daughter for her living expenses at university.
Presently, Zhang Jianzhen is still being tortured in Zichuan Detention Center.
