1. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Fate of Tuanjie Township Practitioner Mr. Zou Guoyan Remains Unknown
Mr. Zou Guoyan, around 40 years old, is a practitioner from Chunguang Village, Tuanjie Township, Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province. On May 16, 2001, he was unlawfully arrested by Shuangcheng Police Department while attending a Fa-conference in Handian Town. He was unlawfully sentenced to nine years in prison. The Shuangcheng City Police Department claimed that Mr. Zou had been sent to Xinjian Prison in Heilongjiang Province. But when his relatives went to Xinjian Prison for verification, authorities there said that they had never heard of anyone by that name.
2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liang Shuzhen Dies from Unfair Treatment and Constant Harassment in 2003
Ms. Liang Shuzhen, 56, lived in the Zhongshan Community on Ronghua Street in the Qiaokou District of Wuhan City, Hubei Province. In 2000, she went to Beijing to file an appeal for Falun Gong, was arrested and then sent back to the local police station. She was released that same day. Ms. Liang continued to raise public awareness about the persecution. Officials in charge of the persecution had been to her home numerous times to harass her in addition to threatening her over the phone. The officials further threatened to terminate her son's employment if she did not comply, which made her very miserable. Toward the end of 2002 she started to pass blood, but she did not stop clarifying the truth. Officials continued to show up several times to escalate the pressure on her until her illness worsened significantly. She died from persecution on September 13, 2003.
3. [Chaoyang, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Yang Lihua Arrested
Around September 21, practitioner Ms. Yang Lihua was arrested by officers from Xinhua Police Department while posting truth-clarifying signs near Yijing Garden in Chaoyang. Ms. Yang is being held at the Shijiazi Detention Center.

4. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Huang Yanzhen and Ms. Guo Fenglan Unlawfully Held at Shuangcheng City No. 2 Detention Center
On October 8, 2004, practitioners Ms. Huang Yanzhen, 62, and Ms. Guo Fenglan, 60, both from Shuangcheng City, took a bus heading toward Wujia Town. They were followed by plainclothes officers for raising public awareness about the persecution against Falun Gong. When the bus arrived at Wujia Town around 10 o'clock, Ma Chenglong and other officers from the Wujia Town Branch Police Department who had been waiting for them arrested the two practitioners. The practitioners were then sent to Shuangchen City's No. 2 Detention Center.

5. [Bobai County, Guangxi] Falun Dafa Practitioners Arrested by Police
In early September, Qiu Wenwei of the Bobai State Security Unit led officers from Tongchengguan Police Station to practitioner Chen Boyong's home. They ransacked the residence and abducted Chen to a detention facility. Chen was later transferred to the detention center for further abuse. Chen's elder brother Mr. Chen Boqiang was also arrested while raising public awareness in the residential committee and is currently being held at the detention center.
On September 25, Bobai practitioner Ms. Liu Fen was arrested while raising public awareness, and her home was subsequently ransacked. Over 200 Falun Dafa materials were confiscated. Ms. Liu is being held at the detention center for torture.

6. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Practitioner Ms. Gao Yanhua Again under Arrest
On the afternoon of October 1, 2004, practitioner Ms. Gao Yanhua was distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying leaflets on the streets. Officers from Songshan District Police Station arrested her. She is presently being held at Dongjiao Detention Center for torture. The police also ransacked her home the same afternoon and confiscated all her Falun Dafa materials.
7. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Jiping of No. 224 Hospital and His Wife Mrs. Zhao Wenlin Are Arrested
Practitioner Mr. Wang Jiping is a doctor in the Amnesia Section of the People's Liberation Army No. 224 Hospital in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. On September 30, 2004, he and his wife Zhao Wenlin, who is also a practitioner, went to Wutonghe Farm in Baoquanling to raise public awareness about Falun Gong. Police arrested them when they received reports about what they were doing. Mr. Wang is being unlawfully held at No. 224 Hospital. Mrs. Zhao is being held in the Baoquanling farm detention center.

8. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Liu Jinlin Arrested by Beidaihe Branch Police Department
At the beginning of October 2004, the Beidaihe Branch Police Department in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, arrested practitioner Liu Jinlin. Mr. Liu graduated from Yanshan University in Qinhuangdao City and rented a room in the family quarters of the People's Liberation Army No. 3540 Factory in the same city. The police twice ransacked his place and confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun, a copy of Falun Gong, and some of Teacher's articles. Mr. Liu's roommate was also unlawfully interrogated.
9. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zou Jiqin Remains in Custody at Forced Labor Camp after Suffering Extremely Inhumane Treatment
In April 2004, Jiamusi City police launched a campaign to systematically arrest practitioners. Many practitioners were arrested, detained, sent to forced labor camps, sentenced to prison, inhumanely tortured and otherwise abused. Ms. Zou Jiqin, an employee of Jingbian Factory, is one of those being persecuted.
Ms. Zou was taken to Jiamusi Detention Center after her arrest. She went on a hunger strike. Gu, a prison doctor, ordered male inmates to hold her down while he force-fed her with highly concentrated saltwater. Her arms and legs were then stretched out and fastened to the floor. Each day the doctor injected her with an unknown substance. Ms. Zou soon became emaciated and suffered from cramps in her arms and legs. White foam dripped out of her mouth. After this inhumane torture, she was taken to a psychiatric hospital before being thrown into Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp, where she has been ever since.
10. [Wangqing County, Jilin Province] Practitioners Mrs. Yan Caixia and Her Husband Tian Chunhe Both Arrested
Ms. Yan Caixia is a practitioner who lived in Tianqiaoling Town in Wangqing County, Jilin Province. On June 22, 2004, she was on her way back from visiting her husband Tian Chunhe, who is also a practitioner and works in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. At the Mudanjiang Railroad Station she was abducted.
After her arrest, her husband Mr. Tian was arrested at work and taken to the same detention center in the Harbin Railroad Police Department. Both practitioners have been held there for over three months. Authorities of the railroad police department have withheld all information about them. No one knows if they are alive or where they are.

11. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Two More Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Luo Minglan is a practitioner from the Shuichangxi Group at Luojiapo Village in Xinluhe Township, Zhongfang County, Huaihua City, Hunan Province.
On the afternoon of the Chinese Lunar Mid-Autumn Holiday (September 28, 2004), Mr. Luo went to Xinjian Township, Yuanjia Township and other nearby areas to post stickers and distribute leaflets. Local police arrested him and transferred him to the Hecheng District Branch Police Department.
At the end of 2000, Luo was unlawfully detained for going to Beijing to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa. His home was ransacked twice. The police threatened to lift off the tile roof of his home after failing to extort cash from him. Later his father came up with cash in order to preserve the roof. The police confiscated grain, oil, beans, electric fans and other items. Mr. Luo was then unlawfully detained two more times. The first time he was abducted from home, and the other time he was taken away from the construction site where he was working.
Officers on duty at the Zhaiyuan Police Station in the Hecheng District arrested Mr. Wei Guimei, an employee of Huaihua No. 7 Construction Company, for distributing truth-clarifying materials. He is presently being held in Huaihua City's No. 2 Detention Center.

12. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Gao Shijun Unlawfully Sentenced to Forced Labor
On September 1, 2004, Anshan City practitioner Gao Shijun was taken to the city's detention center after police ransacked Gao's home and took away a computer, Falun Dafa books and materials. On September 28, Gao was unlawfully sent to Anshan Forced Labor to serve a three-year term.
13. [Pulandian, Liaoning Province] "610 Office" Abducts Ms. Wan Jing to Dalian's Huanbao Hotel for Brainwashing
Some time ago practitioner Ms. Wan Jing was unlawfully sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp, where she was force-fed, shocked with electric batons, handcuffed and hung up, and locked in a cage. By the time she was released, she was emaciated and disfigured from the torture.
Even so, leaders of the "610 Office" still sent people to her home or called her on the phone to continue harassing her. On the evening of September 4, 2004, Wang Youcai, deputy director of the Comprehensive Management Section of the Fengrong Neighborhood Administration Office, led others to break into Ms. Wan's home and kidnap her to a brainwashing unit. She was not allowed to put on clothes and was barefooted. She remains in the brainwashing unit, which is located in the Huanbao Hotel and affiliated with the Dalian City No. 2 Institute.
