In April of this year, the police groundlessly arrested me. During the whole process I truly experienced Teacher's boundless grace and the support of fellow practitioners as one body. As a Falun Dafa practitioner in the Fa-rectification period, everything we have comes from Dafa. At any time or place, we should validate Falun Dafa instead of ourselves.
Three hours after my arrest, four fellow practitioners, including my sister, had heard the news. In the afternoon she and my brother-in-law came to the police department to find out about me. They took note of the police who abducted me and got their phone numbers. As soon as she returned home, my sister and another practitioner set about to collect and arrange related information and it was published on the Clearwisdom web site on the third day, exposing the evil in a timely manner. In the meantime practitioners passed on the news. After learning the news, two practitioners immediately drove to a nearby county to ask for help. Teacher once personally taught the Fa in this county. The local practitioners there have been efficiently and steadily exposing the evil and saving sentient beings. More than 10 practitioners were arrested before me; we need further coordination as a whole body.
After exchanging viewpoints with fellow practitioners, on the third day my sister went to the police department to demand my immediate release. The police tried to evade this by every means. On the fourth day, she again went to the police department. At first the entrance guard did not admit her. But after she patiently explained the facts about Falun Dafa, the guard was moved and let her in. Inside the building she did not know where to go since there were no nameplates outside the offices. So she began to loudly explain the facts in the corridor. People inside the offices stuck their heads out to see, and a 40-year-old woman called her in. My sister told the lady that she has a very kindhearted sister and that her sister was arrested simply for believing in Truth-Compassion-Tolerance. As a result her sister's child and family were left to fend for themselves. My sister spoke slowly and the woman's eyes were wet with tears. Then the woman told my sister whom she should speak to. The official that took charge of my arrest said, "I am busy now. Let's put it off until some other day." My sister responded, "That won't do. My sister has been without food or drink for 4 days. I must see her right away." Finally the meeting was scheduled for the following morning. The next morning, my sister, my brother-in-law and three other practitioners went to the detention center. The director of the center immediately called the police department:
Director: "So many people came. What should we do?"
Police: "Who are they?"
Director: "They all claim to be her relatives."
At last the director agreed that my sister could come in to see me. The others stayed near the entrance of the detention center to send forth righteous thoughts. Seeing that I had become emaciated, my sister said tearfully, "You were not as thin as this before. What did they do to you? I will sue their leader." The director answered, "We did nothing to her. She herself refused to eat or drink." I told my sister, "You may directly report to the heads of the police department, and tell them seriously that whoever dares to take responsibility for this case, please sign your name." My sister nodded and left for the police department right away. In 40 minutes, I was released and went back to my home.
During the 5 days in the detention center, I thought nothing about whether I should be there or not, or whether I ought to eat or hunger strike. I just did not have time to consider such issues. The moment I arrived in the cell, my cellmates asked, "Why were you sent here?" From this topic I began to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa. A 30-year-old woman who was jailed for murder first understood the facts. She said to me, "You are so young and pretty, and have such a good family. It is unimaginable that you would have to come here and suffer hardships. I have committed a crime, and I'm afraid that I won't have the chance to practice Falun Dafa. I will just remember 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance'." I responded, "If you really want to practice Falun Dafa, you can start now." I wrote down "On Buddha Law", and part of Hongyin for her. In the following days, she recited them all the time. She said, "If I had cultivated Falun Dafa earlier, I would not be a murderer. If I have a chance to survive, I will live for Falun Gong." After attaining the Fa, she became calm.
On the third day of detention, the director said outside the window, "She has been without food or drink for 3 days. She must be short of energy. Let her lie down and be covered with a quilt." I turned my head and smiled, "Thank you very much, but I'm OK. " I still continued to explain the facts about Falun Dafa. At that time, my heart was devoted to my cellmates. All I considered was how to disentangle their misunderstanding and answer their questions about Falun Gong. Although I was on a hunger strike, I did not feel uncomfortable. I did all the cleaning in the cell, and cared for and assisted all my cellmates. All the people there felt depressed, so I actively chatted with them on various topics. I would ask them, "Since life is full of frustrations, what is all the hustle and bustle for in the end?" Finally, I talked about the wonderful experiences I have had from practicing Falun Dafa . All my cellmates said they were happy to chat with me. After discussing for a while, they felt light and open in their hearts. Another cellmate began to recite Hongyin. She said she would call my house when released.
On the third day, the directors called me to their office for a heart-to-heart talk and to check my health condition. To me, this was just a good chance to explain to them the facts regarding Falun Dafa. Since one director has been classified as a persecutor on the Fawanghuihui web site (which systematically collects that kind of information), I started off telling them of the persecution deaths of local practitioners, then told them that lists of names of all personnel involved in the persecution and related evidence are all sent to the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong, and that when the opportunity arrives, all their crimes will be repaid. I also mentioned that Jiang Zemin and his accomplices are all being sued overseas and advised them not to let themselves become scapegoats, otherwise the aftermath will be hard to imagine. They really feared for the evil acts they had committed and said, "Then when will the cases be tried? On the second day we reported your case to the higher authorities. We did not force-feed you, but you'd better drink some water. Otherwise, if you lose too many body fluids, your blood vessels won't be easy to find in case we need to put you on an intravenous drip." I declined.
On returning to the cell, all the cellmates surrounded me and showed concern. I smiled and told them the principles of being a good person and that Falun Gong is good. Some said, "Falun Gong practitioners are so capable; you even taught the directors a lesson." Someone else said, "I do not practice Falun Gong now. Is it OK for me to just remember 'Falun Dafa is good' and that 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance' is good?"
On the day I left the detention center, none of them knew I would leave. I sat in the directors' office for 2 hours, and then left directly. I really miss them and I know they miss me too. But I do not have any regrets. After a long talk with two of the directors, I can truly feel that the evil elements behind them were eliminated. Their lives awakened. The field around us was extremely harmonious and auspicious. Then one director went outside to answer a phone call, and when he returned 10 minutes later, he smiled and said earnestly, "You succeeded!" Another director stood up from his seat right away, stood at attention, indicated the door with one hand and said, "Please." As I walked out, I was in tears, not because I would be released, but because I realized a principle more clearly: When we align our hearts with Falun Dafa and act righteously, Teacher and the Fa will save sentient beings.
