1. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Xie Baofeng, Jiang Wei and Li Liang Sentenced to Long Prison Terms
The Shuangta District Court sentenced three practitioners, Ms. Xie Baofeng, Ms. Jiang Wei and Ms. Li Liang from Chaoyang City to ten, eight, and three years of imprisonment respectively. Xie Baofeng and Jiang Wei who are extremely weak as a result of being in detention have recently been sent to the Women's Prison in Shenyang City. Jiang Wei's life was in peril a number of times in the Chaoyang City Detention Center. She has been put into the No. 3 Team, No. 3 Brigade in the Women's Prison in Shenyang City. The personnel there forced her to do manual labor in a workshop despite her poor physical condition.

2. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Qiaoxi Court Secretly Sentences Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhang Caixia
At around 8:00 a.m. on August 16, 2004, patrol police and armed police from Shahe City collaborated with National Security personnel from Xingtai City to arrest Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Caixia. The Qiaoxi Intermediate Court in Xingtai City held a secret court hearing on Zhang Caixia without notifying her family.
Zhang Caixia has been staging a hunger strike in protest since April 28. She is extremely weak, and her life is now being sustained with transfusions at Shahe City People's Hospital (the former Ershiye Hospital.) Three policemen are monitoring her daily. She is too weak to get out of bed, yet the authorities still assigned so many people to watch her. They took her to court on a stretcher and didn't let her family know.

3. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Arrest of Several Falun Dafa Practitioners
During the morning of September 20, 2004, policemen from Babao Village led personnel from the Beijie Police Station to arrest practitioners Yu Haibin, Li Yun, and Li Shuling from Babao Village and take them to the Beijie Police Station. Their Falun Dafa materials production center was ransacked. The practitioners are now being held at the Shijiahetao Detention Center. Detailed information is under investigation.
In addition, police also arrested practitioner Liu Dianzhen while she was distributing truth-clarifying materials.
Practitioner Huo Huixian was arrested on September 22.

4. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Yang Lihua Arrested While Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials
On September 21, police arrested practitioner Yang Lihua while she was distributing truth-clarifying materials in the Yijing Garden residential area.
5. [Yunfu City, Guangdong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
On September 28, 2004 (Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival), practitioner Mr. Xu Shuxin from Yunfu City was arrested. In April 2004, his younger brother Xu Shuhua and sister-in-law Lin Jinghong and ex-wife Li Meihua were arrested.
Practitioner Ms. Li Shaozhen has been harassed several times. Her husband Lai Zhenxian was sentenced to three years of forced labor. He is now being held at the Sanshui City Forced Labor Camp.
6. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Jiang Hulin Arrested
Practitioner Jiang Hulin from Benxi City was once held in the Dabei Prison in Shenyang City for four years. He walked out of the prison in an open and dignified manner after the term expired. In the following year he clarified the truth to people, relating his personal experiences of being held for four years. On September 18, 2004, personnel from the Pingshan Police Department came to his home to arrest him. Jiang Hulin refused to open the door. The police broke through the door and arrested him. Because this happened in the middle of the night, all the neighbors were awakened by the noise.

7. [Yangyuan County, Hebei Province] Practitioners Li Gailing and Ms. Yu Arrested for Going to Beijing to Send Righteous Thoughts
On September 29, 2004, practitioners Ms. Li Gailing and Ms. Yu (a veteran practitioner) from Yangyuan County went to Beijing to send righteous thoughts and clarify the truth of Falun Dafa to people. They were arrested and sent back to Yangyuan County for persecution.
On October 3, 2004, personnel from the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp arrested practitioner Ms. Jiang Cuilan from her home in Wanquan County.

8. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] The Current Situation of Arrested Practitioners Xiao Yuehong and Zhou Yueying
During the evening of September 20, 2004, practitioner Ms. Xiao Yuehong and Ms. Zhou Yueying from the Yuelu District, Changsha City were arrested when they distributed truth-clarifying materials in Ansha Town, Changsha County. They are currently being held in the Changsha City Detention Center. The Ansha Police Precinct and Changsha County Police Departments are in charge of their cases. It has been heard that the police authorities intend to sentence them to forced labor. Below are details:
Xiao Yuehong, 38 years old, was an employee of the Chinese Industrial and Commercial Bank who had been to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa and actively clarified the truth. Zhou Yueying is a new practitioner who obtained the Fa in 2002.
In addition, it is reported that the three practitioners who were arrested and taken to the Tianxin District Police Precinct in Changsha City were released unconditionally. This took place on August 18, 2004 and was accomplished with the help from all practitioners, by keeping righteous thoughts and righteous actions, and by the three going on a hunger strike in protest against the unlawful incarceration.

9. [Nanchang Area, Jiangxi Province] Persecution Accounts of Practitioners in the Nanchang Area
On September 9, 2004, personnel from the Nanchang County Police Department arrested practitioners Ms. Tu Puxiang, 59 years old, Ms. Wang Chouhua, 66 years old, and Ms. Zhang Xiaohong, 45 years old. They are employees of the Synthetic Ammonia Factory in Jiangxi Province. The arrest happened when the practitioners were posting Falun Gong truth-clarifying posters in Tacheng Township, Nanchang County. Afterwards, police transferred them to the Nanchang City National Security Bureau. Their homes were ransacked and they are now being held in the county's No.1 Detention Center at Liantang Yinshanjiao.
In June 2004, personnel from the Bayi Township Police Precinct in Nanchang County arrested practitioner Ms. Gong Juru, 54 years old, from Nanchang County. Ms. Gong was sentenced to three years of forced labor.
In June 22, 2004, personnel from the Bayi Township Police Precinct arrested practitioner Ms. Xiong Fengying, 37 years old, from Nanchang County, and tortured her in the county police department. She is still being held there.
In May 2004, personnel from the Bayi Township Police Precinct ransacked the house of practitioner Ms. Chen Yulian, 50 years old, from Nanchang County. She was sentenced to three years of forced labor.
Practitioner Mr. Luo Wenbin, around 30 years old, from Qianluo Village, Nanchang County, a middle school teacher, was arrested in 2000. Because he refused to give up Falun Gong practice, he was sentenced to forced labor. He has so far not been released. The police authorities still refuse to release him even though his elderly father is left home alone without care.
The above practitioners from Nanchang City and Nanchang County are still in detention.
10. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Record of Policeman Liu Jingxing from Qiaoguan Town in Persecuting Practitioners
On September 18, 2004, policeman Liu Jingxing, deputy chief of the Qiaoguan Town Police Precinct, Changle County, Shandong Province, led several people and broke into practitioner Ms. Zhao Aihua's house without showing any ID or search and seizure document or arrest warrant. They ransacked Ms. Zhao's house and took Ms. Zhao away by force. Zhao Aihua at first did not cooperate with the illegal arrest, but Liu Jingxing grabbed Ms. Zhao's hair and pulled her into a police car. Zhao Aihua is presently being held in the Changle Detention Center.
Liu Jingxing was extremely brutal to Falun Dafa practitioners when he was on the county police department's Criminal Team. After he transferred to the Qiaoguan Town Police Precinct, he continues to brutally persecute Falun Dafa. Once, he beat 65-year-old practitioner Zhao Yancheng on the face, causing bleeding of the mouth and nose. In 2003, Liu Jingxing put four practitioners, including Zhao Yancheng, into detention for 15 days when the practitioners were found doing the Falun Gong exercises.

11. [Lianzhou City, Guangdong Province] Arrest of Practitioner Couple Chen Jincheng and He Ying
On September 27, the day before the Mid-Autumn Festival, 14 policemen from Lianzhou City and Qingyuan City arrested practitioners Mr. Chen Jincheng and his wife. Now nobody knows where Chen Jincheng is being held. His wife, Ms. He Ying, was taken to a local brainwashing class. The policemen didn't find anything that they wanted at the couple's home. Afterwards, they arrested five or six other practitioners including Fu Lemin, who are all being held in the local detention center.

12. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Arrest of Practitioner Duan Xiaoming When Clarifying the Truth
Practitioner Mr. Duan Xiaoming is a business officer for the Erdao Branch of the National Tax Bureau in Changchun City, Jilin Province. From April 26 to 29, 2004, Mr. Duan took the opportunity of working in local industries to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution. Someone reported him and afterwards Duan was arrested. He was put into Changchun City's No.3 Detention Center -- the Shuangyang Detention Center. His current circumstances are unknown.
13. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia AR] Arrest of Practitioner Chai Yulan and Another Practitioner When Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials
During the evening of September 26, 2004, someone reported practitioner Ms. Chai Yulan, in her 50s, as well as another female practitioner, when they distributed Dafa truth-clarifying materials and posted stickers on their way to Aohan City. Police arrested them and confiscated the Dafa materials that they carried with them. Chai Yulan's husband and the taxi driver who went to the house of Ms. Chai's father in Aohan City were also arrested.
During the morning of September 27, personnel from the Hongshan District Police Precinct in Chifeng City ransacked the home of Chai Yulan, and took away many Dafa materials.
14. [Bei'an City, Heilongjiang Province] Arrest of Practitioner Yang Huibin
Practitioner Mr. Yang Huibin, 29 years old, is a physics teacher at Bei'an City's Nongken High School No. 2, Heilongjiang Province. At the end of September 2003, he showed the true story of the "Tiananmen Immolation" to his students during class time. Afterward, officers from the Nongken Police Office forcibly took him away. Nevertheless, Mr. Yang was detained for three months before he was sentenced to five years of imprisonment and incarcerated at the city's Xinsheng Prison. He suffered all kinds of torture and was eventually "Reformed" and his term was shortened by two years, but he continued to be incarcerated.
It was said that in order to finish the "reformation" quota, the police used all kinds of excruciating methods to torture practitioners day and night. The mental torment and physical tortures were inhumane.
Another practitioner, Liu Xiaodong, from Hailun City died as a result of torture at the Xinsheng Prison.
15. [Tianjin] Arrest of Practitioners Li Yunfeng and Zhang Jun
On August 30, 2004, practitioner Li Yunfeng from Tianjin was followed when clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa and distributing truth-clarifying materials in the Dagang Oil Field. Li Yunfeng was taken to the Gangxi Hongqiao Police Station and is presently being detained at the Banqiao Forced Labor Camp to serve a sentence of one and a half years.
Several days after Li Yunfeng was arrested, another practitioner, Zhang Jun, clarified the truth in the oil field, but was arrested as well.
16. [Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province] Arrest of College Student Feng Bo
In the middle of September, personnel from Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province held a large-scale raid of practitioners. Many practitioners' homes were ransacked and some practitioners disappeared.
During the night of September 24, 2004, Yang Yanping, an administrator of Fuzhou City's Donghua Engineering and Technology University took away practitioner Feng Bo, a university student, when he was in the first evening study session. Feng Bo has not come back since then. On September 25, Feng Bo's mother, a lecturer at the university, went to Yang Yanping's home to ask for the reason for her son's arrest. Based on school policies, there was no reason for the arrest. From the point of view of the law, there was no evidence, no charge against him, and no arrest warrant. Why was Feng Bo taken away?
Yang Yanping and Feng Bo's chief instructor could not provide any reason and even tried to avoid meeting Mr. Feng's mother. Feng Bo's mother was so upset that she claimed that if Feng Bo did not come back in 24 hours, she was going to sue Yang Yanping in court.
On September 26, Feng Bo's mother was taken away and her home was ransacked. It was said that another practitioner, who was discussing how to rescue Feng Bo with Feng's mother over the phone, was also arrested. After Feng Bo's mother was released, she cut off connections to the outside. She warned people not to call her home to avoid being implicated. Feng Bo's mother is currently crying every day and her health has gotten worse day by day.
17. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Arrest of Several Practitioners
At 6:00 p.m. on September 21, 2004, the police arrested practitioner Ms. Lu Yufeng, 49 years old, Ms. Zhang Wenyu, 70 years old and Ms. Yang Cuixiang, 45 years old from Liushuhe, Baishi Town, Jiaohe City. The police also went to arrest practitioner Ms. Zhao Xia but did not find her at home. They threatened Ms. Zhao's husband, ordered him to turn his wife over to them or otherwise they would detain him instead. Ms. Zhao's husband was frightened and could not help trembling. The police arrested Zhao Xia at her relative's house the next day.
On September 24, 2004, a dozen officers from the Jiaohe City and Baishishan Town Police Station arrested practitioners Ms. Yao Gongxiu, 60 years old, Ms. Wang Yongxiang, 48 years old, Ms. Wang Fengyun, 40 years old and Ms. Liu Xiuhua in Yongqing Village. The practitioners were detained at the Jiaohe Detention Center. Approximately11 practitioners are being held in the detention center.

18. [Shandong Province] Wucheng County Police Arrest Twenty Falun Gong Practitioners
On September 17, 2004, the police from Wucheng County, Shandong Province arrested more than 20 practitioners and detained them at the county's detention center. The police ransacked practitioners' homes. Practitioners arrested included Sun Baoyuan (60 years old), Ms. Liu Bingqin (45 years old), Zhu Jiajun (40 years old), and Zhang Yuexi (40 years old).
In August, personnel from the Wucheng County government and the local police conducted a systemic brainwashing of people in different towns and townships in the county. Everyone was ordered to write a Guarantee Statement, articles slandering Falun Gong and was forced to be finger-printed.
19. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Policeman Huo Honglei Illegally Arrests Practitioner Liu Fengyun and Brutally Tortures Her
Ms. Liu Fengyun is 41 years old, from Xiguanzhuang Village, Mingyi Township. She began to practice Falun Gong in 1996.
During the morning of September 22, 2004 when Liu Fengyun was clarifying the truth of Falun Gong at the market in Mingyi Village, policeman Huo Honglei arrested her. As soon as she entered the police precinct, Huo Honglei and other policemen tortured her by shocking her with an electric baton, whipping her, slapping her face and pulling her hair while beating and kicking her. Liu Fengyun was beaten black and blue and the upper part of her face turned blue. The policemen pried her mouth open with an electric baton and tried to force her to tell them where the truth-clarifying materials came from. Her lips were burned. The policemen kept on torturing her over two hours. Huo Honglei even handcuffed Liu Fengyun to a motorcycle and intended to drag her to her death with the motorcycle. Eventually, a village cadre arrived in time and stopped this outrage.
Huo Honglei also handcuffed Liu Fengyun tightly and did not allow her to eat, drink or to get any rest. He kept on torturing Liu Fengyun until 2:00 p.m. and later sent her to the Laishui County Detention Center. Liu Fengyun's face had by then been distorted from the torture. Liu Fengyun is currently being incarcerated at the Laishui County Detention Center where she continues to suffer all kinds of vicious tortures.
20. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Policemen in Dingxing County Illegally Arrest Practitioners; Ms. Xiong Fengxia Is Beaten to Death
Practitioner Ms. Dong Jie is from Xili Village, Yangcun Township, Dingxing County. On the morning of September 26, before Dong Jie got up, a group of policemen broke into her home and forcibly dragged her into a police car. Dong Jie's husband was working in another city at the time. Their two school-age children were thus left home without care. In addition, no one is taking care the family's several sheep.
The village cadre learned of this after an investigation. Police precinct enforcers said they were carrying out orders. The policemen who arrested Dong Jie sent her to the Liyu Village Armed Police Team. Her family went to see her but was not allowed to visit with her. The reason given: "Ms. Dong practices Falun Gong."
Practitioner Ms. Xiong Fengxia from Gucheng Town, Dingxing County was beaten to death in Liyu Village after being captured at 11:00 p.m.
21. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Arrest of Practitioner Li Xueqin
At about 10:00 a.m. on September 30, 2004, policeman Liu Jinhu from the "610 Office" Huancui District Police Precinct in Weihai City led a group of policemen. They went to practitioner Li Xueqin's home on the top floor of Gubei Alley No. 3 and banged heavily on the door.
Li Xueqin looked through the spy-hole in her door. When she saw that they were police she refused to open the door. At about 1:00 p.m., policeman Liu Jinhu climbed into Li Xueqin's home through her neighbor's balcony. Then he opened the door. Seven or eight policemen rushed into and illegally searched the house.
Li Xueqin and her family reasoned with Liu Jinhu and asked him why he illegally searched their house. He replied, "Someone reported that you practice Falun Gong." The fact is that Liu Jinhu has frequently persecuted Le Xueqin for going to Beijing to appeal and clarifying the truth. Li Xueqin and her family pointed out in an assertive manner that what the police did was illegal, but Liu Jinhu replied, "You can accuse me anywhere you want." Although the policemen found nothing in Li Xueqin's house, they still incarcerated her at the Weihai City Detention Center.

On September 30, 2004, personnel from the Yuxinnan Police Precinct in the Hanshan District/Handan City followed practitioner Ms. Liu Ling to a Dafa materials-production center. They destroyed the center and arrested practitioners Ms. Qi Shuchun and Liu Ling.

23. [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Arrest of Practitioners Qian Yuzhu and Cuiling
Practitioners Mr. Qian Yuzhu and Cuiling are employees of Xuchang City's Relay Factory. When they clarified the truth of Falun Dafa to the public during the National Day, someone reported them and policemen from the Weidu District arrested them. Their current whereabouts are unknown.
24. [Liaoning Province] Practitioner Wang Jinli Is Still Detained at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp After Detention Term Expired
It was reported that the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp authorities would not release those practitioners who refused to give up their belief. They told practitioners, "As long as you sign a statement to guarantee that you will not practice Falun Gong any more, we will release you at once; otherwise you will never be released." Many practitioners have been detained for half a year or even one year longer after their original detention terms had expired.
Ms. Wang Jinli, an employee of the Lingshan Coal Refinery in Anshan City, Liaoning Province, has been held one year over time. In the middle of February 2001, Wang Jinli was arrested and put into the Anshan City Forced Labor Camp. Later she was transferred to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Her mother is over 80 years old; her husband is jobless and her daughter is under age. The family relies on Wang Jinli's salary.
